We had basically the same type of upbringing and both of us where in familly in nice appartment. Not house, condo or anything big. We are both white canadian so not about race or anything.

Good people turn to crime when there is no other option, and JT's policies have led to that. Terrible economy = more crime (self explanatory). Homelessness = more crime (1 million new people to Canada and only 200k houses made). Drug addiction = more crime (JT made drugs easier to get). Destroying the family unit = more crime (trans ideology). Schools failing in education = more crime (look at how stupid our societies children are now...).
Every single decision JT has made has increased the issues of crime. A broken clock is right twice a day, yet JT hasn't made a single good decision in 8 years.

Pierre, the reporter asked a ridiculous question but there is a silver lining in that question which is key. One of the primary contributors to repeated violent crime in major cities is a result of the closure of Riverview Hospital in Port Coquitlam BC. Severely mentally ill people resided there from all over Canada. It has the capacity to house 5000 patients as well as drug addicted people. It sits on almost 300 acres of land. Funding was cut by the Paul Martin government and became too much for the Bc government to handle alone. If your government would restore that funding, along with bail/parole reform, it would make a world of difference for Canadians.

But why? Why are they criminals?
Because some people no matter their upbringing, opportunities they've had, skills, society, etc will choose crime.
The criminal could be a poor person from a nasty neighborhood who didn't learn any other way to live or a worthless trust fund baby who thinks laws are just for the little people he lords over.
The reason we're having such a problem in Canada is because crime isn't punished, just the victims. So criminals want to come here and more people become criminals because they see there are no consequences.

If someone commits a crime, gets caught, gets punished, and then repeats again and again and again; they are a habitual criminal and a threat to civilized society. Regardless of the reason why, when you have people who have committed crimes on the scale that was spoken of in this video, it is insanity for anyone to let them out on bail, it is insanity to let them out of jail. There comes a point in time where you must keep people out of society or you become an accomplish to and an enabler of their habitual criminal behavior.
