Yes, through the seasons there have been three big A's, I think it would've been more fun if there was just one big A that tormented them from the start, and it could've been interesting if it was CeCe if her origin story actually made sense and didn't have any plot holes.

Angela Ahms this ending was actually based on the crazy twin theory. Marlene didn't prepare the answers for the plot holes, which makes her a bad writer. Why make us ask questions if she ain't going to give us the answer? I feel like she just lacks creativity. I'm not watching any of her upcoming shows.

Omg ikr. I said it a few weeks ago just based on the scenes at the airport, that its probably a twin. Thought it was far fetched but thought it was possible.I honestly didnt know it was correct, and went through with adding more to spencers story and family

Some theories were about Spencer, some about Archer, and look at my theory that I posted a few months ago (a friend of mine posted it a year ago on instagram and I shared it on video - I think someone else did the same before me, too.). I don't know... When I was looking for theories I never thought for a second that they were true. I just always thought most of them were a bit too unrealistic. Lucy Hale had said that some theories were really close to the real ending, I never thought it was going to be the most popular ones.

Well, for me, this isn't the big reveal of the night. The ending has proven that Mona is the Ultimate A and the one who got 'em all. She killed Uber A and trapped AD and her mother. The original A is still the best because throughout these years, she has proven to be the most unpredictable, impressive and brilliant character of the show.
AD took the game from Mona... Mona took it back. LOVED THAT PART!! :)

Uber A? How did she get that name? I've never heard it before in the series, or at least, in the spanish dubbed version. They just say "A.D.".

But can we just appreciate Troian's acting. I mean besides being a little off with the accent she has given us an amazing performance. An American actress playing a British woman that fakes being an American. Troian went even into detail when Alex Drake was speaking with an American accent. You could hear the difference between Spencer's and A.D's American accent. Troian you are simply amazing 🙌🏼

Marie Pfeifer Tatiana Maslany is amazing as well. That's why she won an Emmy last year. The difference is that Tatiana has been playing these various characters from the beginning of Orphan Black and never had to limit herself to one role which made it easier for her to create believable characters from the start. (Tatiana rocks 🙌🏼, I' m not undermining her acting skills !!) Troian on the other hand played Spencer for 7 years straight and then had to step out of her comfort zone in order to play A.D convincingly which is in my opinion more difficult for an actress because by that time she had already gotten accustomed to the role of Spencer. But yeah Tatiana and Troian are amazing. 😃

Troian is an amazing actress and I figured she had a twin for a while now, but I'm still left a bit disappointed.😕 I enjoyed watching this but it felt rushed and they didn't go as in depth as I had hoped for. I still appreciate the show and I will probably always re-watch the seasons. I just wish it were a bigger shock, someone we would've never suspected, and that they made sure to go back and explain every answer like they promised.

Who else was disappointed by this A.D. reveal? Most people were expecting it to be Lucas or Ezra or someone else we knew. Why not have the villain be someone we know and are shocked by, not just some random character we just knew existed in one episode. And the ending was basically a cheap parody of the beginning scene of Pretty Little Liars. I thought that the acting was really bland. The episode was good at some parts but mostly disappointing.

It honestly was. Apparently Marlene dropped some "Easter eggs" throughout the episodes, giving us hints that Spencer had a twin. But honestly, it seemed to subtle. Like you had to pay attention to every single line uttered and person on camera in order to figure it out. Aria's own Mom would've made more sense than Alex fucking Drake.

Bethany appeared in an episode at Radely with Charles. I don't know if you're talking about that time when Alison was attacked at her house and Emily saved her..? It was Cece. It was something about Noel's dad who is a judge, don't remember exactly but Alison did say at some point.
we all can agree that somewhere along the way, the plot fell and eventually some of it didn't make much sense and it was all over the place honestly, i'm surprised this show didn't get cancelled 3 seasons ago but i'm happy it got an ending...

I liked Alex, but I wish she was involved from the beginning and had a personal reason to hate each girl, not just Spencer. Pll was my favorite show the first two seasons. I didn't like the second half of season 3 as much or season 4, but season 5 pulled me back in. I was disappointed with the Cece reveal because that episode was so boring, changed the date of Toby's mom's death (in the first Halloween episode with flashbacks of their freshman year and Toby told Emily his mom died "a year ago." Meaning she should've died when the girls were in eighth grade which is why changing it to when Cece (who's older than the girls) was a child didn't make sense. I went in this episode with high hopes. I wanted each girl not just Aria and Spencer to have a big role, but I still liked it. But the ending with Emily and Alison's students mimicking the first episode upset me.

I like this reveal but this episode was so poorly thrown together!! I don't know why but they're acting seems so weird in this episode and they had the cheesiest lines. The end seen with Alex wasn't big at all, they ran for like two minutes and then that cop came and got her. Also, the fact they just randomly was like "This is Spencer's book omg she could have a twin" was so poorly done. No way they just figured it all out so fast. This is A.D. we're talking about. They took a good idea and turned it to shit. They never should of done the time jump, they should of continued when the game died died down and then reveal A.D. Why would she randomly wait a year to say who she was? They should of cut all those stupid dream scenes, Addison scenes, etc and fit more into the storyline.

I feel like Marlene went down this route just to make the show go on longer, and because she wanted to include Wren in the A story. I think the finale should have shown that CeCe wasn't Charles and that she was taking orders from the real Charles. And I think the real Charles should have been one of the guys. This wasn't a good finale.

The Gotham Knight that's actually brilliant and interesting. But Marlene would've had to explain the whole Jessica and Cece story, and from what we've seen, she ain't good at covering plot holes. This finale was lazily written.
No offense but ... only dumb people could be happy with this ending and think that it makes sense. Smart people just can't help but seeing all of those plot holes, all those unanswered questions and the terrible writing of this episode. 7x19 is a much better ending for the show and I can give myself the aswer that I want and an answer that makes sense. There were so many mysterious clues and built ups (during all the seasons) to reveales that we never actually got at the end.
There were tons of clues for Aria having a split personality and being A during ALL the seasons, even in season 7. And there were tons of clues for Melissa being A too. There were soo many amazing possibilities for this final episode but instead they gave us 2 hours of complete trash

When Dan was revealed to be Gossip Girl I freaked out because it made so much sense and I was very happy to see it was a character that had been there from the very beginning and it was a character the viewers grew to know very well and love. Pretty Little Liars bringing in a character in the very final episode just to say, "I'm the one who has been stalking you for 7 years" was very stupid and written very lazy. Marlene just know you're rich over a piece of shit show you were a part of. I cannot see myself rewatching this or ever recommending this to anyone.

Lenar Jones She hurt the girls because she was trying to figure out who killed Charlotte. Hanna confessed at first, that's what got her kidnapped and tortured. It wasn't until towards the end where Mona confessed to killing Charlotte.

You say that Marlene had explained EVERYTHING. Please do try to enlighten me with the many things I'm so confused about, because I feel stupid. First, the thing with Sara Harvey. What happened to her? I know she got killed but idk who's the killer (My guess is Noel Kahn), maybe I was just not paying attention but I'm a 100% sure her death scene was not shown (which is not fine BTW). That's not the main thing I'm confused about tho. What I didn't get is her "motive", why did she help Cece? Was she threatened? If so, how? Because without the answer to how, I just can't trust her reasoning. And one more thing about Sara Harvey, correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't she gone missing the same night as Alison did? If so, then that begs the question "Where has she been the whole time when Mona was still A and Cece was still not?" There's also this thing I hate about the twists, Weren't Sara brought out as a character who has the same background story as Alison? So then what was the need of Adison? I just don't like it, no, actually I hate it when there's redundancy in a plot, that is not in a good way, but in an overused cringe-worthy way. Still fine tho at least it's not a plot hole unlike many other parts of the story.
Second, there's that scene where "A" buries Jessica D'Laurentis' body right? And A was wearing a hoodie. My question is how did that happen? When in actuality, Cece(A) was seriously in distraught that night and later in the story was revealed that Mary Drake was the one who buried Jessica? So did Mary wore that hoodie just to seem look like A? I'm so confused af!
Third and last, (cause I'm too lazy to discuss more) I want a clarification on Wren's relationship with Alex (A.D.) and Melissa. So it was revealed in the final episode of the season finale that apparently Wren and Alex have been dating ever since the end of Season 4 and probably earlier too, But then in seasons 5, 6, and even on the time jump, it was Melissa that Wren's been living with. How is that possible? If by any chance it's written off with "Wren's cheating" Shouldn't that have been discussed? Cause I seriously think that's freakin' important of an info. I could go on more but I'm being lazy af! And these three issues seems to be the highlights of my concern as of the moment. Please do explain these things to me, cause I'm hella confused, and you seem to know everything including questions I'm still asking. Thank you!

Melissa should have been A.D. I watched a video on here and everything was explained...she would have been perfect...I was so disapointed when Mona took off the Melissa mask! I feel there were loads of questions unanswered therefore I had no closure.
1. Why was Noel in the doll house? what were all his connections?
2. why was Noels fathers signature on the adoption papers?
3. Why was Maya killed? what did she know? and who killed her?
4. How on earth was Mary Drake broken out of jail?!?
5. who on earth were those twins in the story Alison told the girls? where one killed the other? As Ashleigh was seeing one of them!?!
6. why was Melissa the black swan? and what was she doing on that ghost train?!?
7. Why was Alex using Masks? when she was pretending to be spencer anyway?
8. How on earth did the moms escape from the basement?
9. What was going on in Capemay? Nothing was really explained...Melissa knew CeeCee.
10. Bethany Young...not even mentioned? why did she push Tobys mom off the roof? what were her drawings about? what was all the connections? I knw she was CeCes friend to begin with but there has been no explanation about her.
11. just who did Jason see Melissa talking too that night?!?!
Extras: 1. The dream scene, they are different...Arias hair is longer and what is written on the board is different.
2. surely Toby would knw if he wasnt having sex with Spencer? they were meant to be in love? it took him how long to look at that book properly?
Sorry but I am super disapointed, sorry Marlene but u failed ! u should of stuck with Melissa, she had been in it frm the start and would of had plenty motive ! Uve made me not umderstand Melissa now, the things shes done and said and no not all of it was too protect Spencer due to her thinking she killed Alison.

Actually no, Nate never actually confessed to the killing of Maya. and if Marlene "confirmed" it, well, what would you have to say about when she confirmed Mona's supposed death in season 4. The Maya/Nate thing was a bs misleading attempt to make sense of her death,and it sucked ass. Black people on this show got fucked up storylines period.
Any how, these are still unanswered questions and if the producers really cared to make a quality show they would've put more effort into making one.

Anakin Gaywalker Figured you would ask... it has to do with black characters and actors perpetually being treated like crap while represented through the media. It specifically has to do with PLL being flawed not only in being known for creating plot blackholes filled with endless questions and random connections, but moreover in the way that the African American characters typically (while far and few between) are not the favorable roles/or they get killed off. Maya, Nate, Shana(extremely pointless character to say the least), Lorenzo the cop who was in the show for five minutes and had a rocky relationship with Ali, who seemed shady at times, and pretty much there for production to be able to say"we care about ethnic diversity, but not really"--and was never heard of again at the close of season 5. I think those were really all the "memorable" black faces in the show.
Me mentioning the black ppl getting treated crappily thing is there to voice an additional concern I had with this show.

When exactly did Wren meet Alex? She claims that she met Charlotte for the first time after she went to Paris as Vivian Darkbloom (Season 5 Premiere), but Melissa didn't leave for England with Wren until a couple episodes into season 5. So that means that Wren knew about Alex while he was with Melissa, but Alex said Melissa and Wren had already broken up... I really loved the finale and we all know Marlene has never been good with timelines....

this was so random. we all wondered if yes spencer had a twin. I could accept that if she was relevant to the story. this was bad as cece being A. there are so many holes left behind. and I feel like we got no closure to many things. like everything to do with Alison. Cyrus. NAT Vivienne dark bloom why two different colored shirt sleeves pulled out Allison from the grave. why Bethany was there dressed like ally. blank gaps and holes. I am so disappointed. nothing against the actors they were great throughout. but dang what a way to close up. felt like a big giant slap in the face. or a breakup with no peace or closure

This show was made for such a greater ending.
If they were going with the spencer twin idea they should have decided that in season 1 and built up clues and reveals on top of it. That's usually how other shows work. The PLL team surely decided it at the last minute. There had been many clues hinting at Ali having a twin but not spencer. This didn't make sense at all. The problem was that they kept making random scenes like Jenna meeting Sharna, or the whole Bethany young idea (what was the point in that, anyway?), or Sydney and Jenna, etc. that we now know had nothing to do with who A or AD was. I enjoyed individual episodes, but overall as a story it has failed and I'm glad it's over.

Everyone seems so upset with this reveal because they feel like after 7 years the reveal should've been a more "shocking" one or a character that was more of a main character like a liar or one of the guys but I think what everyone's forgetting is that A.D. Didn't even really exist until after Charlotte died so it really wouldn't make sense for one of the liars to be A.D maybe one of the guys but, if it were one of them what would they get out of torturing the girls they love just because of charlottes death? The whole twin thing actually makes sense bc of her relationship with charlotte and plus if one of the lairs or guys had been A.D. Then the rest of them would probably be really mad at that person and in my opinion that would be worse ending the show that way then with the twin thing
a better storyline would have been charlottes lover getting revenge on the girls rather than another hastings/dilaurentis/drake child... how do you keep up with this family tree?
the answers have their own plot holes... i mean for starters, if it was all about revenge for charlottes death, why would AD not kill mona as soon as they found out what she did? AD said she sent wren to kill mona and mona made a deal with wren. but AD would have known mona was still alive... id rather be mad at caleb or ezra or whoever than marlene stealing a fan theory from 2014.

Also with the whole Mona thing they didn't really explain that but maybe she just had a plan to kill her later or something and never got to it? They probably just didn't add all that stuff in for time reasons. And as for charlottes lover the only person I could really see that being is like Wren or something as he was really the only male character left that wasn't to old or already in a relationship in the last episode but then you would still have ppl complaining bc he really hasn't been around this season except for that one scene
Nayeli Flores exactly, Charlotte's murder triggered AD, who wasn't relevant prior; Allison's disappearance triggered Charlotte aka Big A who took the moniker from Mona aka Original A. This was a resolution of a storyline after Charlotte's murder.

Now I'm going to rewatch the series from the beginning and stop at season 6 episode 10, with Cece as A. And the liars going off to college and thinking its over. Its not like we got all our questions answered afterwards. I just want to forget this A.D happened.
And no i am not one of those who always got disappointed of every A reveal. I loved the original A and loved even Cece being A reveal even more. There were so many clues, but this A.D being Spencer's twin. Just no, and yes i love Spencer.
I feel like the A.D. Should be more connected to Alison not Spencer. She's the reason everything started in the first place... I'd love for example to see Alison's twin as A.D. who might also be Bethany Young or someone from the DiLaurentis family
