I use a bit of old glove to jam bits into my wrench, stops them falling into the engine bay never to be seen again.

The back slot is for vehicles with air purification systems. If the recirc button says auto or manual it has the big filter, other wise the others take the thinner filter that goes in the front slot.

Thank you for the video. Not sure why I had such a struggle, I had to hold the bottom bracket and push upward to get the bolts to line up, I think maybe I didnt push the filter up far enough. BTW, how do you like your S90? I just cant wrap my head around the 4 cylinder engine.
About the S90, I am completely shocked at the power availability and the good gas mileage. We are so happy that we are going to replace our '09 V8 XC90 with a 2022 XC90 next year.
@@A_Renaissance_Man nooooo, don't sell the V8 XC90!! ;) Wow, that is interesting to hear it has power, I guess I need to accept the fact that Volvo is slowly going to electric vehicles.
I used a 1/4 drive t25 with a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter, used hand to loosen and tighten.
