I’m a new M3LR owner (July’23) that also purchased Enhanced Autopilot. We recently completed a 1,390 mile return trip the day after the FSD Update was installed. I used FSD 99% of our drive home and continue to use it every day. I’m a rather senior new owner (mid-70’s) and completely disagree with your opinion on the Updated FSD. I’m also a person who understands the Responsibilities of driving a car…any car!! Originally I never even considered FSD, but we’re so impressed with its capabilities that we just took advantage of the $$ reduction and paid for this incredible Upgrade. Just my opinion.
We have a M3P on order. We will test FSD, but it’ll mainly be my wife’s car. Her trip to work is typically back roads. Our demo drive experience was FSD maintained about 10 mph below speed limit on curvy roads. With that being said, if I was driving it to my work I would have no concerns with FSD being able to handle that drive in its entirety. I think FSD usefulness is based on every day driving requirements. $100 per month is a much more palatable price for something that allows minimal input when dealing with traffic.
Can you believe it that I have saved $1800 not buying gas since January 2024 - in California where gas is $5.40 a gallon now - this explains why 1.3 million electric vehicles are registered in California as of 2023 and was 903,000 at end of 2022. - Cali is electrified leader of the United States 🇺🇸
I take delivery of my new Model 3 next month here in the UK. I am paying around $7.20 per US gallon at the moment to run my gas guzzling BMW. I don't do a huge mileage, but still hope to save around £1,800 in fuel costs per year, so about $2,300 year. Which will be more than welcome.
Ok being the electrified leader isn't a brag. California purposefully makes their gas higher (notice it is cheaper to live in many other states) to push people toward electric. This is a fellow CA resident with a Tesla. I love my Tesla and got it because I support Elon Musk and the car is cool and upgrades (so never really gets old) which is amazing. Will stick to Teslas
@@joshuamarziale i like the tech that the tesla offers and the software updates. I don't like the lower range than advertised and how this can be reduced eas -ily with elevation, speed, and wind conditions - i am lucky to get 220 miles range on a model y lr that is advertised as 300 mile range
When, set to on, if you press the horn, Dashcam saves a recording of the most recent ten minutes of footage. But the car is still recording. Touch the horn again, 5 minutes later, if you want to save that footage. Its beauty is saving whatever led up to the honk, whether you, in the heat of the moment, remember to, or not.
omg had my Y for 2 weeks and did not know I could keep the rear door from opening higher. It kept slamming into my garage door. Going to change that now!
Do you know is this new spring update with the new UI going to still have the cards where the music is like it currently does? Switching between mileage and tire pressure , I really love this and hope Tesla doesn't remove it. I remember when Tesla removed it there was a lot of pushback and they brought it back. Hopefully they won't mess with it
Great video! I only disagree on one point. I very much prefer a single pull to engage both Traffic-Aware Cruise Control (TACC) and Autosteer. When I change lanes, I want to take full control of the car rather than partially disengaging the autopilot by losing Autosteer but keeping TACC, as happens with a double pull. I trust myself to handle potentially chaotic situations better.
new MYLR owner, what's the function in the app you mentioned to precondition? I have been using the cabin overheat protection since I live in Arizona, even in the garage it easily gets over 100deg in summer!
thanks for the refresher. I noticed in the locks setting part you have ur watch set up as a key. Which app are you using to set up your apple watch as a key?
Stats app though i don’t recommend it. Dude that released it kept raising the price (i paid $50) and said he’d never do a subscription, then did a subscription. Then released a bunch of paid only features and still hasn’t had updated the ui which is still my biggest problem. I never use it anymore, only have it setup as a backup. Plus elon has said okay to a tesla official watch app so that’s prob in the works.
If you punch up the site it's suggests may to June 2024, however that's not entirely true. It all depends on production batches. The most common and regular will get first run. The less common colors and interiors will get run later 8n a separate batch. Right now the LR m3 with white interior has a longer time. Will the map w white interior be the same...nobody knows. What is known is the white interiors get made after the black...so his car might take a bit longer.
@@JremiahJones Can you post a video on the outcome? Curious as to how aggressive Tesla will be in the trade. I have a 2021 M3P and considering the same thing.

That's crazy. Mine gets the advertised battery range minus the fact that I only charge it to 80% to extend battery longevity
In wiper service mode you can also move them out of the way, basically unlocks the motor. Super great for cleaning.

That tip about the double click for TACC is a great idea. I have the new model 3 so I will definitely change that.
I saw that red on the 3 and the Y...man that red is extremely nice!
Why charge the base model 3 to 100% 3:46
I believe because it has a different battery
Where did you get the cybertruck on your shelf in most of your videos
1:51 NAH BRO! What is this EQ preset you made? It looks like it would suck. Please change it back to default.
3:15 I wish that you could chose the steering mode based on other vehicles (Toyota vs BMW).

Can you tell me the name of the software you use? I can’t find teslafy in the App Store. Thanks
@jeremiahjones hey I see you have ambient lighting can you link which one you installed?

How do you disable upgrades?
go into the upgrades section on your app and press manage upgrades
Does the Tesla purchase with Leasing comes with coverage of the car ( like insurance ) or is just a different way of "buying" the vehicle
?

Why is my fsd still not calibrated? Driven 70 miles already
Is there a reason to setup WiFi if you have Premium Connectivity? You get updates via Premium Connectivity so I don't see the reason.
Are you trading in your M3P to Tesla or selling private?
Depends. I’ll take the trade in for convenience if it’s within a few thousand off private sale as that’ll get me $ off taxes.
