Another of Henry's lines that suggests he may have been in a suit and seen Charlie die while serving cake to the children: "I couldn't save you then, so let me save you now"
Eh I don't think that at all implies that he saw her get killed. Why would he stay in suit and keep performing instead of rushing to where she was? At face value, and how the line is meant to be interpreted, it's just a Father lamenting the fact that he was unaware of her being locked out and not knowing something was wrong until it was too late.
@grizzlygamingzz8145 another reason is that he said "I *COULDN'T* save you" along with him slowing down, if he didn't know then why would he slow down?
@@muffinchubby2352 i mean then he would’ve said he should’ve saved her and not that he couldn’t save her. If Henry just watched that would be some major gaslighting in his speech to the protagonist and his actual daughter, it’s very unlikely due to Henry being depicted as a savior of sorts putting them to rest, and having his last moments be an act of deception would be extremely disgusting to his character.
@Brazmix if you saw your child outside in the rain crying while doing something, obviously you would stop what your doing, it’s a normal human reaction, let alone a parent reaction
Best theory I’ve seen in forever. Fits together unsatisfying details, makes sense within the existing narrative and even enhances it. It even makes Midnight Motorists make sense. This is the kind of theory that warrants a GTLive reaction
@@Soracayo My idea is that, since Shadow Freddy is made of agony, he got burned away in 3's fire, which is why he's gone from 6. That also saves me the energy of trying to figure out which of the evil bunny men who look, talk, and have the memories of Afton is or isn't Afton.
The idea of Henry seeing Charlie die while wearing a spring lock suit that could be Fredbear’s and then creating the agony of shadow Freddy’s is very interesting considering that shadow Freddy’s model is actually based from golden Freddy.
Hey, that's me! I'm glad my theory gave you a new interpretation of the minigame. And thanks for defending me. I didn't saw Glycon's video, we just got to similar conclusions. Besides, your theory is interesting as well. It's narratively compelling and makes Henry a better character than we usually think he is, more present and more tragic. If we are to believe this, that minigame would be the first time Henry had a physical depiction in the whole game series.
Glad to see the person who made the post that caused Squawks to come up with this video is also a member of his community! Great minds think alike so it’s not surprising you both came to similar conclusions.
4:00 it could be one of the cloth replacement suits mentioned in Phone Guy's FNAF 3 tapes, and they didn't try to save Charlie because they couldn't leave the kids
9:33 I literally said 'holy shit' outloud, this is the best explanation I've seen for shadow freddy. 12:15 my personal theory is that, when making FNAF 2, Scott didnt have any origin or lore in mind for the shadows. They were intended to be wild cards that could be deployed later as needed. He saw how people reacted to Golden Freddy in FNAF 1, who didn't have any lore (ok it's pretty obvious GF was the fifth mci kid but you know what I mean) and was setting up something similar with the shadows. Speaking of FNAF 2 mini games, here's a question. What the hell is Foxy go go go? Think about it, every other mini game in FNAF 2 depicts things that actually happened. Charlie's death, Charlie reviving the MCI kids, the DCI. Except for Foxy go go go. It doesn't match the descriptions we have of the MCI and it can't be the DCI since, you know, Foxy's there. So what are we looking at? My guess is that it's the spirit possessing Foxy interfering with the animatronic's programming, but that's just a guess...
I just wanted to say that the Fredbear Family Diner posters have Fredbear holding ice cream cones and SpringBonnie holding a milkshake. It's not a huge thing but it could mean that people did wear the springlock suits while serving food to the guests.
Appreciate the shoutout Mr. Squawks!! I was not aware of this reddit post that supposedly "stole" my theory. I hope nobody was bashed or threatened over it. How'd you hear about this?
I was just scrolling through Reddit then shared Taro’s post on my discord to see what people thought, someone mentioned that one of the posts comment linked your video, getting me to watch it to compare.
@@siresquawks Interesting. I had no idea. Anyways I like the idea of taking that part of Henry's insanity dialogue and applying it to Cakebear. The questions is, Henry was known to wear the Fredbear costume so would that be Fredbear or Freddy. As for RWQ, if he is on Team MCI it would make sense considering he fears Shadow Freddy, but why would Hide and Seek and FNAF AR portray him as evil? Thoughts?
@@glycon6828you're collecting dark remnant when you're attacked in ar, that's a pretty bad thing and while it isn't justifying murder non evil animatronics kill you for far less in this series
Something to add on to Henry’s neglect of Fazbear Entertainment (Which he probably owned some capacity before his death considering Pizza sim) and trauma from seeing Charlie’s death, Samurai Freddy, the whole idea of the shorts is that today is the day that Freddy will try to stop Foxy, only to fail miserably and pretty much have to try again, I feel this is Henry trying again and again to try to stop William only for him to stop himself before he does anything. I think it lines up with your idea of him being unable to help Charlie on that day. Regardless Great video on the best fnaf character, Cake bear.
I wonder if it was Henry in the Fredbeat suit, maybe due to the rain he couldn't see clearly what was going on outside. I don't know if Henry has any eye problems with some things, like reading or in some weather like rain, but even if it was heavy rain it would be hard to see clearly in it, let alone outside a window. Maybe Henry slowed down, because he was trying to make out what he was seeing and when William drove off, he thought maybe it was someone coming to pick up their kid. I know some people will say, how could you not recognize their child, but again with any kind of eye problem, rain and/or heavy rain(and the window), he might not have seen clearly what happened and just assumed it was someone picking up their kid.
And I can't imagine looking out of those suits give you real good vision, either. The eye holes are tiney- being underneath the animatronic's eyes and stuff.
5:32 Shadow Freddys pose in FNAF 2 always gave off a weird feeling of dread or helplessnesss, and now it all makes sense, this theory made Shadow Freddy one of my favorite characters.
4:35 Mm-mm. Nope. Save "him." If Charlie's *called* Charlie and *smol,* then maybe she looks like a boy that young to an employee. ALSO, Henry wears the *Fredbear* costume. This has to be somebody else. Good vid, tho! Agree on the broad strokes. ADDITIONALLY, maybe Shadow Freddy is what Charlie-Puppet saw? Like... a literally shadow of Freddy didn't do anything. Reminds me of Gunnerkrigg Court's robots - "she died and we did nothing"
I absolutely love this theory! I really appreciate how you take the time to think about the characters and their arc in the story with these theories. You do it in nearly every video, and I like it a lot. It somewhat gives me ideas for my own storytelling
do you mean the channel or the people who posted the theory? i think he's just presenting the theory to us rather than him coming up with the idea i'm confused
The only problem I have with this is buying that there is a springlock Freddy. I still think it’s more plausible that this is just an animatronic and it’s programmed to give cake to kids. Wouldn’t be the first time a robot is able to do what would be impossible tasks with our modern day technology, the FNAF universe or just Fazbear entertainment is just more technically advanced than our universe. The fact the animatronic move slower seems to be good evidence at first but in the other FNAF 2 minigames the animatronics also progressively get slower. The Puppet moves a bit slower after giving each kid a mask, and Foxy moves slower upon seeing the dead kids. I think it’s just a weird stylistic choice.
@gathaspar5295fnaf 3 says that the animatronics arent supposed to enter the safe room, and the tapes are around 1983-1985, so they can move around before fnaf 2
This theory (and the video itself) is honestly so fucking good. I used to find your videos difficult to follow and when I did understand , I often disagreed with the theory itself anyway. the way your evidence backs up a really satisfying, motivated narrative is great. It even makes me more interested in Henry as a character, after years of dismissing him as the foil to William who took up heroic space in the story the ghost kids and Michael could have made better use of.
I think this theory with Fredbear being Cakebear and it being at Fredbear's instead of Freddy's would be really good! I'd like to add a little something, Cakebear holding Pizza was used to tease FFPS, and then the next teaser for FFPS is Pizzabear holding, well, a Pizza, which would mean Cakebear and Pizzabear are the same, and in the Pizzabear minigame Shadow Freddy spontaneously appears, so the Pizzabear minigame might be the origin of Shadow Freddy or something.
Shadow Eleanor and Afton’s evil shit makes most sense to me. It explains why he looks like Golden Freddy, if you believe that Afton became evil to experiment with remmnant and bring BV back then Shadow Freddy taking Golden Freddy’s form makes sense, Afton does it for BV who possess Golden Freddy.
Oh. I thought Henry being Cakebear was given. Lmao I have been working on a comic of this. "Remember to smile, you are the face of Freddy Fazbear's" And if you cry in a Springlock suit? Don't in front of the children, Henry. That said, I don't think Shadow Freddy is any one thing, which is why it kinda sucks in the games. The shadows never had a concrete reason imo, other than maybe to show who did a bite (and that was overlooked, overturned, and sent to theory graveyard), and have become a catch all for the supernatural elements. Which if you are writing Sci-fi and supernatural... Isn't ideal. You should be trying to marry the concepts, but instead they kind 'pool' places in this franchise... I had the migraine attack of the century today so sorry for being so tardy to the party. Great video.
I don’t think he necessarily knows they’re dead. I think it’s that, to him, they’re not there anymore, and he doesn’t know why, and it’s causing him to have some sort of logic error
I remember that Game Theory, a long time ago in one of the first theories, thought that Shadow Freddy and Shadow Bonnie were actually the spirits of the employees that died during the initial Spring Lock failures, which lead to the discontinuation of the Spring Lock suits/ Golden Freddy and Springtrap. The reason they didn't haunt or possess the suits were because their bodies were removed from the suits before they died but they still haunt the pizzeria as phantoms because William was still wearing the Springtrap suit and Golden Freddy is being possessed by another soul. Cassidy, the one that William shouldn't have killed. But this is a great theory I haven't heard before. Something that would give Shadow Freddy some more depth.
seems pretty compelling but there some sus thingies cuz of how old parts of the lore are: -during take cake, there wasn't any danger of going outside that any theorist could theorize at the time since we didnt know about spring locks or how they were dangerous in the rain, or that it was raining during the day charlie died -it could be risky but cake bear could potentially attempt to open or unlock the exit to try to let Charlie in so they wouldnt have to go out in the rain, but as to why cakebear didnt do this, honestly no idea this makes no sense under any interpretation really -it sort of appears the animatronics are able to pass around cake like things, like the drawing of bonnie passing out a cupcake on plate to a kid in a fnaf 3 drawing, the puppet in the logbook despite not being worn as a suit, and potentially could be something any animatronic in general could do which would explain why the random assortment of animatronics in the fnaf 3 minigames are passing cake -the save him point seems pretty compelling because someone is being told to save charlie, but its pretty strange since in save them, the puppet was the one who spelled out those characters and giving the order so timeline wise for the puppet to also be around during charlie's death telling freddy or someone in freddy to save him would be pretty strange and would either imply it is the puppet saying that in the present to Jeremy in the memory controlling cakebear, or that it was the puppet animatronic and animatronics had really smart safety understandings since i dont think someone could fit in the puppet -as well to add onto its more likely that save him is the puppet in the present speaking to jeremy instead of cakebear talking to himself, the characters save him are spelled out once the minigame begins before cakebear has any reasonable suspicion that charlie is going to die by purple guy, which was probably an unplanned in the moment murder, a more better word to use would've been "help him" (like the puppet saying "help them" in give gifts give life since the kids were already dead and not in need of saving) since at a glance Charlie's condition being locked outside didnt look dire -shadow freddy makes a pretty plausable mm footprints candidate except for the part where it appears he lured the runaway kid to freddy's which shadow freddy likely wouldn't have learned or absorbed agony from or whatever until after the mci, so even if sf was created on that night, it would be very strange for him to act the way he does before the mci or in a way similar to the mci before it happened it does appear henry had a lot of knowledge about what happened, but idk if he was in cake bear or not, if he was, it was probably a really really late scott-retcon since almost all of henry's existence and the evidence regarding the conditions of the take cake minigame like rain were all introduced pretty late into the continuity during fnaf 6
If i remember correctly the Fnaf 3 tapes said the springlock suits were replaced with cheaper suits once incidents occurred, so "Spring Freddy" can definitely be one of those.
i still think in the idea that freddy in this minigame is just a normal freddy animatronic, fnaf 3 tapes says that the animatronics arent programed to enter the safe room, how they can move to the safe room? and the fnaf 3 tapes are around 1983-1985, so i think thats freddy with endo 02 giving cake to children, he's programed to do that, and the into the pit game poster, explicity shows a freddy with a cake
Shadow Freddy being Afton's wickedness makes sense, but I don't know about Shadow Freddy and Nightmare being one in the same I still think the connections between Nightmare and Nightmarionne might be evidence that Nightmare/Nightmarionne are the embodiments of death itself, taking different forms
I really love this theory. I'd never considered why cakebear slows down in that minigame, but it makes so much sense and is VERY narratively satisfying. The next question this begs though is.. What made Shadow Bonnie? I mean, if Shadow Freddy has such a deep origin, then surely the same must be true for Shadow Bonnie, right? Where my mind immediately goes is the crying child's death. That would line up with this theory's explanation on the form that the shadow entities take (taking after Afton in the golden rabbit suit), and it would be a little poetic for both shadows to be born from a father losing their child.
I feel like shadow freddy is Henry's guilt and sadness visualized and shadow bonnie is afton's hatred or misdeeds visualized. Maybe thats why its shadow freddy and shadow bonnie specifically. And yes in fnaf 2 shadow bonnie does have the toy version but thats probably just because scott hadnt made spring bonnie yet as an animatronic. That would also make more sense as to why shadow bonnie is afraid of shadow freddy. Its just kinda weird that the only two shadow animatronics are based on freddy and bonnie the two original animatronics that Afton and Henry both used to wear. They both have bad emotions related to the suits. That could have sparked its own kind of thing to create it. Idk just a random thought.
Even if it has nothing to do with Shadow Freddy or Henry, I like the theory of the cake bear witnessing something and being either powerless or too distracted on its own. I never thought about the slow down as the Freddy's reaction, but more as emphasis to make us focus on the crime. But what if it was both? 😮 The rest of the theory is nice as well. I like how you've tied it together and the further characterization Henry desperately needs. But that one part in particular is so solid. It feels right.
This is a great theory, finally giving an explanation for Shadow Freddy, but I have an issue with Henry being in the suit. In the original FNAF 2 minigame, Freddy/Fredbear noticeably slows down at the same time as William appears and murders Charlie. This moment isn't in slow motion in order to increase the impact of the moment since the other children continue moving at the same speed. I'm pretty sure that this was supposed to imply that the person in the suit saw Charlie's death, but this can't work if Henry was in the suit. Henry would've likely tried to stop Afton a lot earlier into the timeline if he saw him kill Charlie, yet it takes until FFPS for Henry to act. Claiming the person in the suit is Henry would go against Henry's defined character in the game. More than likely, the person in the suit was a regular employee who watched the incident but couldn't do anything because of the rain. I do still like this theory, but it cannot work in its current form when the details of the minigame go against it.
The animatronics were able to move around autonomously for a good while now, at least since the 2nd game. We just never saw it in-game outside of the obvious "they're attacking you, better stop them" moments. They were always implied to have personalities, even if they were programmed in.
@@siresquawks well, its specifically in regards to the "its kinda funky that cakebear is walking around actually giving cake to kids" bit. If its programmed behavior, then it wouldn't be funky at all. Especially given that every game since seems to have the implication that they can have the capacity to do similar things. There was no indication that such a thing wouldn't be part of their personality or routine programming, so pointing out how odd it seemed in hindsight doesn't take into consideration that there was a trend from that point onwards. Seems safer to assume that the animatronic was behaving as it was intended, tho Will has shown himself to be a man of opportunity, and attacking while it was in the middle of a stringent behavioral routine and shadow fredbear forming afterwards is somewhat feasible. It'd be somewhat of a reminiscent situation to the puppet's inception, without a direct possession taking place
@@Wizardjones69 to my understanding, none of them really have aside from the springlock suits themselves. That's why the* others get destroyed in the minigames by Afton, they're taken by surprise when he jumps out at them. And to my knowledge, they expressly stated that nobody should bring the animatronics or customers to the back, meaning somebody has at some point. Clearly we know kids were brought back there by Will, but any instance of the animatronics being so would have had to do with direct intervention of somebody or something.
@@ashemabahumat4173 its not said that the animatronics arent supposed to be put in a safe room, its said that they arent programmed, so most likely they can walk around even before fnaf 2 in 1987
GOD PEOPLE FINALLY SPEAK UP FOR SHADOW ANIMATRONICS AND I APPRECIATE THAT!! I found them interesting since fnaf 2 and all this time we barely could tie together their story, but I think at this point they have a pretty complete lore figured out by community. I adore this theory and the shadow stand too, it finally gives an explanation to these silly little shadow guys
has anyone ever considered that maybe henry was involved with william as a partner in crime before he killed his daughter? Is this a possibility? just spitballing like shadow freddy being a shadowy version of the person wearing the freddy costume and shadow bonnie for spring bonnie
I like this, but I'm still on the "runaway is Cassidy and the crying child is shadow freddy" train. Henry being the person in the suit during the save him mini game though is perfect.
wait...this kinda eats hold on like you have "evil" bonnie with william and "good" bonnie with RXQ then you have "good" freddy with henry and "evil" freddy with Shadow freddy symmetry and character foils and stuff like that
This might be a little random commenting on your latest video days later, but I know you had said in one of your game theory reactions that MatPat constantly switches between puppet stuff and William stuff, well in his newest GT live, in his reaction to into the pit, he claims puppet Dies after MCI
I was never fond of the Agony theories regarding the Shadow animatronics since, well, Agony and Remnant weren't even a thing in the lore of FNaF back in 2014 and 2015. When the series was gonna end for the first time, the first three games were all we got, and we really had little to no answers on these dudes. Taking things into context, while I was watching your video, it's a really good theory btw, I couldn't help but wonder... why were the kids crying so much at the last moments of Take Cake to the Children? Why was Freddy/Fredbear slowing down? I agree that he was probably a guy wearing a springlock suit... but what if, alongside the death of a kid, were also witnessing a springlock failure? Probably not, but still an interesting option to consider.
I did always wonder why the Freddy/Fredbear seemed so concerned with saving the kid. I mean, why would it be coded to recognise the threat of death and be conflicted about either saving a life or giving cake.
Personally I think shadow Freddy is CC. It’s the simplest explanation in my head since he never was stuffed inside of Fredbear by Charlie so his ghostly apparition takes the form of his killer, that being a shadowy version of Fredbear. It would also make sense, considering the fact he is doing what William wants since he really doesn’t have any ill will towards his father. Plus it reiterates the bear on a leash imagery in the family photo in fnaf 6. Not to mention it would make sense that CC would be standing outside Micheal’s room in midnight motorist. It being a manifestation of Henry’s agony doesn’t make sense if Henry apposes William imo. Keep trying, we’ll get it eventually, throwing the dart enough will eventually practice you into getting the bullseye.
12:06 you said that "he didnt have all the peices in place" and that reminded me of fnaf world and fnaf 3, where seemingly the goal of fnaf world is for this spirit or whoever it is to put the peices in place for the fnaf 3 security gaurd to find. I know its debated wether the protagonist of fnaf 3 is henry or michael, but assuming that its henry for the sake of my argument, it would be the perfect time for henry to figure out everything. Through the peices he puts together in the fnaf 3 hidden minigames, the old phone calls, and the presence and behavior of springtrap, henry figures out that not only is william the killer, but also that william is springtrap, as well as the other information that can be gained through that game (i forget off the top of my head). Plus henry coming to this revelation on night 5 would line up perfectly with him setting fire to the building, as maybe he thought it would get rid of afton, for whatever reason. Idk, i may be completely wrong, or what im saying is common knowledge, but whatever the case i only just realized this as a maybe likely answer for why he waited so long lol
So i had in mind that maybe if shadow freddy is Henry's agony then possibly it tried to kill Michael as revenge for Charlie's death and maybe also gets used by Willaim to torture Michael in the fnaf 4 room if it did want to kill Michael, maybe even explaining why nightmare is transparent, because they aren't real. Or Michael gets nightmares of seeing shadow freddy and because if withered golden freddy is shadow freddy then it would be the same suit cc dies in and then sees it in the same way nightmare fredbear looks like because its literally the same thing. Though it wouldn't make sense for shadow freddy to go to Willaims house if Henry didn't know it was Willain who killed Charlie. I also thought maybe that shadow freddy missing an ear in 2 but having it in the minigames suggested that the suit Henry would be using in this theory would have been withered golden freddy as shadow freddys design is the same but then i remembered that if this was 1983 why would the withered golden freddy suit even be here (fnaf 0) if its the same suit cc possesses at fredbears. But now that im thinking of it again maybe if Jrs is a closed down fredbears, then the fredbear suit would be at the fnaf 0 location in like a storage room or something. One last off topic theory i thought of was maybe Willaim remodeled the withereds to then become the fnaf 1 animatronics which would explain why no one questioned the bodies in the suits while remaking them because it would have been Willaim, and maybe Willaim tries to turn withered golden freddy into fredbear again but ends up failing which then could be a way to explain canon fredbears design looking like og golden freddy but still coming from withered golden freddy, the bow and top hat have color now because Willaim tried to make it look like fredbear by replacing the black ones with the purple ones, later turning black by agony or something idk. Maybe he even tried to put some eyes in it but they just turned black and white, which could explain why golden freddy has pupils but withered golden freddy doesn't. And it would make more sense for the design change then them just randomly remodeling fredbear for fnaf 2 only to bring him back to his og design in fnaf 1. Or y'know, its just supernatural crap lmao. If you read this long comment, thank you. Pretty great video too btw. 👍
I know the midnight motorist theories have been beaten to death at this point but I was curious if you could make a video about the theory of orange guy being the father of a mci victim and the footprints in the back being from William. I'm seeing this theory everywhere so I'm curious of your take on it
I like the theory, but I gotta let this one sit and think about what kind of consequences this has further down the line. Because here's the thing right, Charlie as far as we know is one of if not the first victims of Afton. So that HAS to happen prior to MCI (sure if MCI is same day, whatever then, but if not, then MCI happens long after). At that point, if Henry SAW who killed his daughter, don't you think William would have been kicked out of the company by the time of the MCI? Unless you think that did happen, in which case I suppose that means that SL's preparations happened BEFORE MCI? But then how would Afton even know about the possession of the puppet unless he's gotten first-hand experience? And if Henry did NOT see his daughter's murder directly, but only the event happening, why wouldn't it still end with his daughter in his hands? why would he not get out of the suit immediately and run outside to embrace her dead body and cry a river of tears? Why does Henry specifically say "...No one was there to lift you into their arms..." instead of JUST saying "I couldn't save you then, so let me save you now"? Because that second sentence lines up damn near perfectly. I do think that shadow freddy DID see Charlie getting murdered, I am just not convinced it's Henry in the suit. The brown suit thing helps to convey this message, but there's enough there (also from later games, which we now know that the later games are supposed to help clear things up about the past which might have been inaccurate) that makes me doubt whether Henry actually witnessed his daughter's death. Henry's line of "a wound first inflicted upon me" can still work perfectly fine without the idea that he SAW his daughter die. And moreover, the agony and pain Henry felt, I feel like it's a stretch to say that that HAPPENED in the costume. Because if it did not, then why is that agony linked to a similar figure? instead, I propose that someone else saw what happened that night, and Afton noticed them. They would later kill that person or do away with them, and that is why Afton doesn't actually get sent to prison for Charlie's death.
This is my personal little twist on the shadows. Nobody take it, cause I was gonna use it for a potential fan game at some point. I think It’d be cool if the shadows were Williams agony, and the puppet took small bits of his soul, and gave life to them through the Freddy and Bonnie animatronics. Williams pain and suffering caused the animatronics to turn dark, void of any emotion other than agony. The puppet does this to keep him suffering during his 30 year rest. I think she could do this, because we see the puppet give life to the children in the fnaf 2 mini games. Or maybe it could be Cassidy, trying to torture him. Either way, that’s my take.
Man, there is a flood bail family diner poster that has Fred bear being the exact color of orange Freddy meaning the mini game takes place at Fred family diner also meaning that it’s an older suit
WHAT IF, hear me out, Cakebear IS a spring-freddy type suit, BUT, its one of the extra Fredbear suits, but with the yellow fabric and purple accessories replaced with brown-ish orange and black accessories, as to not remind people of The Incident. as well as to save on costs and stuff, and Cakebear would be retired after the Sister Location Failure.
Speaking of a springlock brown Freddy suit I had an idea that cakebear could be a Freddy from Fredbear's? because in ruin there are posters of Fredbears with Freddy on them so Cakebear could have been the first Freddy. The problem is that in fnaf 3 tapes there are 2 springlock suits mentioned but tbh if there are 2 versions of fredbear (fnaf 2 gf and ucn) and 2 of springbonnie (springtrap and scraptrap) so even if cakebear isnt a spring freddy than either way there are more than 2 springlock suits
I think it’s good but a bit clunky Like why wouldn’t Henry just sit back and WATCH HIS DAUGHTER DIE and choose work and not turn William in Unless he didn’t see William commit the crime which would mean that IMMEDIATELY after the Puppet shuts down he finds them and Shadow Freddy is instantly created and zaps to the house to take CC or Micheal to the grave site before William comes back Like It’s possible considering that if he saw Charlie he took the suit of and found her once it was to late But I’m skeptical
So where would shadow Bonnie’s origins be? Would it be the MCI? DCI? Also ik u probably ever won’t but whenever u feel like u can confidently say, “yes this timeline I’ve made lines up with every detail I can find and also goes with characters motives from multiple sources”, please just do a full timeline video from your take on the origins till you get to UCN, and after that you could start making theories on the new era because i think it’s safe to say the security breach era is over with help wanted two, I would love to see your take on that! Love the videos as always please keep posting daddy squawk 😘🤣🤣
ive noticed that theory cannibalism is a sort of creeping force that can never be avoided no matter how much one resists it something notable but of questionable importance is that shadow freddy in both main game appearances only appears when animatronics are absent (besides fully empty shells i guess), again no idea if that means anything though
i think the suit being brown could be that scott didnt actually make fredbear golden yet or purposfully chosen to be an orange, and the same orange as freddy, to obfuscate it being golden. The second one would be likely to not confuse people with the character being golden freddy by making it yellow, and gold can still be shown as an orangish color.
Why didn't Henry just open the door and let Charlie come in herself? Is he stupid? In all seriousness though, I really like this theory. As with all your theories it has evidence *and* a strong narrative. I'm hesitant to adopt it as my interpret but it's a very close contender.
He's probably stupid considering my man made a fucking death trap that literally made it so he couldn't step outside at all or he instantly died, also it's probably that he was busy with the other kids who we clearly see are assholes from the Security Puppet mini-game, no way brother wasn't fighting for his life to give that cake away before the kids triggered the springlocks for the bit
So, with this theory, wouldn't that mean Micheal could've possibly seen Charlotte's body? I mean, it would make sense that Shadow Freddy, if it's Henry Emily's guilt, he would want someone to find/report Charlotte's death... Hopefully that makes sense lol
but I must admit that if in the games Henry was also wearing the Fredbear suit like in the books then Shadow Freddy being a dark version of Fredbear which was Henry's character and helping Spring Bonnie is cool because now Fredbear (Shadow Freddy) is helping Springbonnie just how Henry "helped" William in some things. Its like story repeating itself
It could be employees sense of guilt that they think they are the accomplice of the killer cause they didn’t do anything when the kid died. So it’s manifested in the spirit or emotion that helps the killer in “Follow me”. (I don’t think they died in the suit because why didn’t they just became like functional material animatronic like Springtrap instead they are literal ghosts)
would this then mean the creation of Lefty (another black bear) would be inspired by Shadow freddy. This time not as Henry's guilt of leaving Charlie, but as a way to bring her back in a way
Another of Henry's lines that suggests he may have been in a suit and seen Charlie die while serving cake to the children: "I couldn't save you then, so let me save you now"
Eh I don't think that at all implies that he saw her get killed. Why would he stay in suit and keep performing instead of rushing to where she was? At face value, and how the line is meant to be interpreted, it's just a Father lamenting the fact that he was unaware of her being locked out and not knowing something was wrong until it was too late.

@@muffinchubby2352 i mean then he would’ve said he should’ve saved her and not that he couldn’t save her. @Brazmix if you saw your child outside in the rain crying while doing something, obviously you would stop what your doing, it’s a normal human reaction, let alone a parent reaction

I adore the idea of Shadow Freddy being a sort of indicator for Afton's presence. It's like Fnaf's version of music stings in slasher movies.
It also kinda explains why Shadow Bonnie hangs around in more recent games but Shadow Freddy doesn't. Afton is dead.
@@Soracayo My idea is that, since Shadow Freddy is made of agony, he got burned away in 3's fire, which is why he's gone from 6. That also saves me the energy of trying to figure out which of the evil bunny men who look, talk, and have the memories of Afton is or isn't Afton.

2:40 that makes a SHOCKING amount of sense.
4:00 it could be one of the cloth replacement suits mentioned in Phone Guy's FNAF 3 tapes, and they didn't try to save Charlie because they couldn't leave the kids
Do they ever SAY it was made of cloth?
Holy SHIT
A poster from into the pit game shows freddy serving pizza
Appreciate the shoutout Mr. Squawks!! I was not aware of this reddit post that supposedly "stole" my theory. I hope nobody was bashed or threatened over it. How'd you hear about this?

I don’t remember if in the novels Charlie mentions anything about him wearing glasses but he does in the encyclopedia’s illustration so it’s possible
And I can't imagine looking out of those suits give you real good vision, either. The eye holes are tiney- being underneath the animatronic's eyes and stuff.
That's a really good idea
5:32 Shadow Freddys pose in FNAF 2 always gave off a weird feeling of dread or helplessnesss, and now it all makes sense, this theory made Shadow Freddy one of my favorite characters.
4:35 Mm-mm. Nope. Save "him."
If Charlie's *called* Charlie and *smol,* then maybe she looks like a boy that young to an employee.

My guess is that it could be a miscolored fredbear

The into the pit minigame shows a freddy poster holding a cake, so its kinda obvius
Yknow what, im just gonna roll with this, it makes too much sense to ignore and doesn't have any flaws to my immediate knowledge
He might have wondered if his eyes were playing tricks on him
Oh. I thought Henry being Cakebear was given. Lmao I have been working on a comic of this.
"Remember to smile, you are the face of Freddy Fazbear's"
And if you cry in a Springlock suit? Don't in front of the children, Henry.
That said, I don't think Shadow Freddy is any one thing, which is why it kinda sucks in the games. The shadows never had a concrete reason imo, other than maybe to show who did a bite (and that was overlooked, overturned, and sent to theory graveyard), and have become a catch all for the supernatural elements. Which if you are writing Sci-fi and supernatural... Isn't ideal. You should be trying to marry the concepts, but instead they kind 'pool' places in this franchise...

Another Masterpiece by Sire Squawks.
This is such a good theory. It connects plot points that dont make much sense, and gives answers to questions weve been asking for a while.
This also supports the theory of the runaway being CC bring lured by shadow Freddy to go see Charlie’s corpse
Not much more than it does all other shadow runaway theories
@@siresquawks
Ok
seems pretty compelling but there some sus thingies cuz of how old parts of the lore are:
-during take cake, there wasn't any danger of going outside that any theorist could theorize at the time since we didnt know about spring locks or how they were dangerous in the rain, or that it was raining during the day charlie died
-it could be risky but cake bear could potentially attempt to open or unlock the exit to try to let Charlie in so they wouldnt have to go out in the rain, but as to why cakebear didnt do this, honestly no idea this makes no sense under any interpretation really
-it sort of appears the animatronics are able to pass around cake like things, like the drawing of bonnie passing out a cupcake on plate to a kid in a fnaf 3 drawing, the puppet in the logbook despite not being worn as a suit, and potentially could be something any animatronic in general could do which would explain why the random assortment of animatronics in the fnaf 3 minigames are passing cake
-the save him point seems pretty compelling because someone is being told to save charlie, but its pretty strange since in save them, the puppet was the one who spelled out those characters and giving the order so timeline wise for the puppet to also be around during charlie's death telling freddy or someone in freddy to save him would be pretty strange and would either imply it is the puppet saying that in the present to Jeremy in the memory controlling cakebear, or that it was the puppet animatronic and animatronics had really smart safety understandings since i dont think someone could fit in the puppet
-as well to add onto its more likely that save him is the puppet in the present speaking to jeremy instead of cakebear talking to himself, the characters save him are spelled out once the minigame begins before cakebear has any reasonable suspicion that charlie is going to die by purple guy, which was probably an unplanned in the moment murder, a more better word to use would've been "help him" (like the puppet saying "help them" in give gifts give life since the kids were already dead and not in need of saving) since at a glance Charlie's condition being locked outside didnt look dire
-shadow freddy makes a pretty plausable mm footprints candidate except for the part where it appears he lured the runaway kid to freddy's which shadow freddy likely wouldn't have learned or absorbed agony from or whatever until after the mci, so even if sf was created on that night, it would be very strange for him to act the way he does before the mci or in a way similar to the mci before it happened
it does appear henry had a lot of knowledge about what happened, but idk if he was in cake bear or not, if he was, it was probably a really really late scott-retcon since almost all of henry's existence and the evidence regarding the conditions of the take cake minigame like rain were all introduced pretty late into the continuity during fnaf 6
If i remember correctly the Fnaf 3 tapes said the springlock suits were replaced with cheaper suits once incidents occurred, so "Spring Freddy" can definitely be one of those.
7:30 i personally believe that fnaf 4 is cc's coma but yeah, fredbear being dangerous was william's fault
This NEEDS to be shown to matpat ASAP!!!!!!
i still think in the idea that freddy in this minigame is just a normal freddy animatronic, fnaf 3 tapes says that the animatronics arent programed to enter the safe room, how they can move to the safe room? and the fnaf 3 tapes are around 1983-1985, so i think thats freddy with endo 02 giving cake to children, he's programed to do that, and the into the pit game poster, explicity shows a freddy with a cake
Shadow Freddy being Afton's wickedness makes sense, but I don't know about Shadow Freddy and Nightmare being one in the same
I still think the connections between Nightmare and Nightmarionne might be evidence that Nightmare/Nightmarionne are the embodiments of death itself, taking different forms
Nightmare has a file name called “Shadow Freddy” for FNaF 4
The rest of the theory is nice as well. I like how you've tied it together and the further characterization Henry desperately needs. But that one part in particular is so solid. It feels right.
I love background Fran Bow music for FNaF theory video!
I personally think shadow Freddy is a hallucination in fnaf 3's Minigame along with the phantom animatronics, it kinda makes sense.
I love your theory vids, theyre never overly long and focus on your points. this one be a slam dunk and I may addopt it to my headcanon
What if springlock Freddy is the suit Michael gets stuffed into in the FNAF 1 game over screen?
That’s an interesting concept
Or freddy is just doing his animatronic work, most likely not a suit
You gotta remember that when William is depicted as purple, he's in the shadows. Henry probably didn't recognize him.
The animatronics were able to move around autonomously for a good while now, at least since the 2nd game. We just never saw it in-game outside of the obvious "they're attacking you, better stop them" moments. They were always implied to have personalities, even if they were programmed in.
I say this. This is unrelated to the point I was making.

I think because children in this minigame want so much cake
@@Wizardjones69 ya, todos nós assumimos que sim, mas é sempre engraçado pensar em interpretações alternativas.
I been split on Shadow Freddy being CC
I'm seeing this theory everywhere so I'm curious of your take on it
It isn’t good. That’s my take.
@@siresquawksI agree I'm just seeing it everywhere in people's videos
I really like this at the very least it is very intresting
4:03 bro is wild
New thought. Coulr brown freddy be ned bear?
Or before afton annd henry merged?
Man, there is a flood bail family diner poster that has Fred bear being the exact color of orange Freddy meaning the mini game takes place at Fred family diner also meaning that it’s an older suit
Fred Bears family diner
First sentence
Huh. Nice analysis, somebody @Matpat on this
Very cool!
This is such a good cohesive theory I absolutely love it
WHAT IF, hear me out, Cakebear IS a spring-freddy type suit, BUT, its one of the extra Fredbear suits, but with the yellow fabric and purple accessories replaced with brown-ish orange and black accessories, as to not remind people of The Incident. as well as to save on costs and stuff, and Cakebear would be retired after the Sister Location Failure.
I think it’s good but a bit clunky
Like why wouldn’t Henry just sit back and WATCH HIS DAUGHTER DIE and choose work and not turn William in
Unless he didn’t see William commit the crime which would mean that IMMEDIATELY after the Puppet shuts down he finds them and Shadow Freddy is instantly created and zaps to the house to take CC or Micheal to the grave site before William comes back
Like It’s possible considering that if he saw Charlie he took the suit of and found her once it was to late
But I’m skeptical
So where would shadow Bonnie’s origins be? Would it be the MCI? DCI? Also ik u probably ever won’t but whenever u feel like u can confidently say, “yes this timeline I’ve made lines up with every detail I can find and also goes with characters motives from multiple sources”, please just do a full timeline video from your take on the origins till you get to UCN, and after that you could start making theories on the new era because i think it’s safe to say the security breach era is over with help wanted two, I would love to see your take on that! Love the videos as always please keep posting daddy squawk 😘🤣🤣
ive noticed that theory cannibalism is a sort of creeping force that can never be avoided no matter how much one resists it
something notable but of questionable importance is that shadow freddy in both main game appearances only appears when animatronics are absent (besides fully empty shells i guess), again no idea if that means anything though
i think the suit being brown could be that scott didnt actually make fredbear golden yet or purposfully chosen to be an orange, and the same orange as freddy, to obfuscate it being golden. The second one would be likely to not confuse people with the character being golden freddy by making it yellow, and gold can still be shown as an orangish color.
6:49 I don't think it does since Afton wouldn't have told him to watch Mike (who probably already ran off by this point)
Why didn't Henry just open the door and let Charlie come in herself? Is he stupid?
In all seriousness though, I really like this theory. As with all your theories it has evidence *and* a strong narrative. I'm hesitant to adopt it as my interpret but it's a very close contender.
He's probably stupid considering my man made a fucking death trap that literally made it so he couldn't step outside at all or he instantly died, also it's probably that he was busy with the other kids who we clearly see are assholes from the Security Puppet mini-game, no way brother wasn't fighting for his life to give that cake away before the kids triggered the springlocks for the bit
omg i love this! genius!!
So, with this theory, wouldn't that mean Micheal could've possibly seen Charlotte's body? I mean, it would make sense that Shadow Freddy, if it's Henry Emily's guilt, he would want someone to find/report Charlotte's death...
Hopefully that makes sense lol
This is one of the best theory’s ever!!
This is such a good theory, i cant see any problems
i love this theory more than the simple explanation of the shadow characters being springlock victims
How have I never considered this
I genuinely view this as canon now
Henry was the one in the Freddy suit 100%
That's another really good theory about Shadow Freddy
but I must admit that if in the games Henry was also wearing the Fredbear suit like in the books then Shadow Freddy being a dark version of Fredbear which was Henry's character and helping Spring Bonnie is cool because now Fredbear (Shadow Freddy) is helping Springbonnie just how Henry "helped" William in some things. Its like story repeating itself
what if micheal is the give cake freddie and it’s his regrets following him around .
what if mocheal is man who caused the war of 1728
the phantoms and shadow Freddy are Afton stands
Because the phantoms try to warn Afton something bad is gonna happen
It could be employees sense of guilt that they think they are the accomplice of the killer cause they didn’t do anything when the kid died. So it’s manifested in the spirit or emotion that helps the killer in “Follow me”. (I don’t think they died in the suit because why didn’t they just became like functional material animatronic like Springtrap instead they are literal ghosts)
Yes I realized it’s said in the video but with Henry.
This is an amazing theory I love it :)
this is such a good theory!!!
man i love scottcons
would this then mean the creation of Lefty (another black bear) would be inspired by Shadow freddy. This time not as Henry's guilt of leaving Charlie, but as a way to bring her back in a way
