    Lyrics:
    [Intro]
How does a duck know what direction south is?
And how to tell his wife from all the other ducks?
    [Pre-Chorus]
You can cut a chicken's head off
And it will keep on running and twitching
    [Chorus]
    When everything seems planned out
When everything seems nicely planned out
Well the human race come and smack your face
    [Verse 1]
How come all my body parts so nicely fit together?
All my organs doing their jobs, no help from me!
    [Pre-Chorus]
    A person pulls a spider's leg out
To watch it keep on moving and twitching
    [Chorus]
    When everything seems planned out
When everything seems nicely planned out
Well the human race come and smack your face
    [Post-Chorus]
Satan lives here: on grain and earth, rain and air
    [Verse 2]
How come I just smoke and smoke and smoke and curse every butt I spit out?
All night long I grind my teeth and I wake up when I cough
    [Pre-Chorus]
You can put me in an iron lung
And I will keep on breathing and twitching
    [Chorus]
    When everything seems planned out
When everything seems nicely planned out
Well the human race come and smack your face
You might be dead, gonna kick your head!

Don’t know how these folks never went truly big. Great playing, superior songwriting and production. Great message. Awesome album.

Чтобы добится больших успехов, нужно было продать свою душу, но Bred на это не пошёл

I thought they were big?!? Well, at least BIG to me, anyway. I've listened to them from the beginning, and coincidentally, I am a baritone/bass, and I can sing like Brad Roberts, so I love them even more. 🤣I love their esoteric/philosophical messages through the lyrics, and the music itself is phenomenal. Astounding.

bruh, i took them in so hard back in the day. i would sit and eat the new sour cream and cheddar chips and read Anne Rice all afternoon after i got off work.

It's odd how many people wouldn't listen to this album. My software manager and I loved playing this in the secure area we worked in. That was a long time ago. Perhaps 1993ish. Crash Test Dummies were so different. I feel a lot of people ignored them thinking they were super weird. Welp, they were and that's okay.

"Satan lives here" the way that line is sung just blows me away every time. What an UNBELIEVABLE album.

So, Imagine it's 1995. I was all of 18 years old .I am at a car audio shop late in the evening. A very generous installer is making my new kick panels for my 1968 mustang. He then says Do you want to hear a comp car? Of course I say yes and we proceed to a 1987 GNX. He plays this song for me. Now, I had already liked CTD and had the cd. But this experience changed my whole outlook

I like old Mustangs. When I was 18 I Drove a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro I loved how I would make it sound going down Main Street it was all downhill so I would put it in Neutral to help slow it down. It had a Hurst Shift kit in it so when I put it in Neutral it would go like poppity pop pop that was a Machine

I bought this album the moment it came out, saw an employee at my record store putting it on the shelf.
I will still to this day randomly start singing this song.

It’s common knowledge that ducks have a mineral in their brain, magnetite, that detects the earth’s magnetic field, guiding them south. Duh
