My girlfriend grew up with this game, and as someone who grew up with the show (in Dutch lmao), it was very easy for her to convince me to buy this game second hand recently and omg I love this game to death, one of my most played games recently!
Played that with my older siblings a lot growing up, that was our all time favorite game as well! Now were all adults and when i sent them this video, we got really nostalgic, so maybe its time for a game evening again, thank you for reawaking that in us. We live far apart so any promt to see each other is a blessing
7:07 the nice thing for us in Germany was that the voice acting was actually pretty nice. The bad thing for us was that next to no one here knew of Inazuma eleven. Though I will never forget Arion‘s voice in Strikers, which was actually nice to listen to, only to be hit over the head by his voice in GO that sounds exactly like what I imagine sleepparalysis Demons to sound like. This game was also the only time (at least as far as I am aware) that you could recruit the royal redux versions of King and Samford, so that was also really neat. The Voiceline of the royal redux Stonewall and Samford saying „Kaiserpinguin 3“ (Emperor Penguing No. 3), is also stuck in my had as the coolest thing in this game. The tree minigame induced more rage in me than I care to admit though, even with a friend, it was somehow really hard to always get the volleys, cause the headers give next to no points and when you had to do it with the the CPU, well you better hope you can do it all alone, cause these CPUs were wildly inconsistent as to wether they would kick a ball out of the air, or let it drop and ruin your combo that you had built up to almost 25-30. The only time you actually want to use a header is right at the start, where you let the ball drop once and the use a header at the highest point, as it gives you the most points at the start for some reason. It‘s nice that the new Inazuma game is going more into the direction of these games again, especially since nowadays it actually has a chance to be (for Inazuma at least) a huge success internationally with the rise in popularity of Anime in general, especially over the past 5 years. Thanks for the throwback.
I Found the Game in my Library Games section and after that I put everyone on in my Circle on It that’s why I was Lucky to know people who appreciate here in Germany inazuma eleven
I'm from Germany too and I think part of why people didn't know is that the first season of the anime was the only part of it that got a dub and I don't think it ran more than once on TV either but I might be wrong about that.
Me being an Inazuma fan from the US, none of the games except the first DS game are localized. So that means i had to do some internet stuffs and Strikers was the first game i played, so much fun.
It's such a shame so little was localized, cause I feel this franchise could do really well in the US if the marketing was better. Cool you could still play them and have so much fun with them tho :D
Even though I have seen the anime before I never knew there was games about it until recently. Although I haven’t been able to play quite yet, from this review and from what I have seen it looks super cool and underrated which sucks to see as well. As a huge inszuma and soccer/football fan hopefully it gets the recognition later someday. Thanks for making this awesome video!
The thing I love the most is hearing the technique names in Spanish they're so epic! It's a shame this game is kinda limited in content but it's still awesome, and the matches with friends are so much fun

i always loved how this game did special moves a bit diffrently then the ds games. not only do you get a pretty cool effect as it travles towards the goal when you shood. but i love how in here you shood. the ball travles. and then you get to choose a goal keeper move in response. this saves so much tp unlike in the ds games. where you have to assume every shot is a special move cause you choose it at the same time as the person shooting the ball. and if it was a normal shot. then you waisted a lot of TP trying to catch it. os i prefeur it way more in the strikers games. so i can use a special move accordingly to the special shot instead of guessing.
I play its updated version (Go Strikers 2013), the voice acting is better there since I play the Japanese version and I don't even understand Japanese, I just know how to play it by memorising how to navigate, where to find the settings I want to change and know what this button do. The updated version includes more playable characters and more teams but not Go Galaxy and the fact that they didn't bother making a minor update to add Galaxy characters is disappointing.

you should talk about Inazuma Eleven GO strikers 2013 and GO Strikers Xtreme 2013 (which is a fanmade game). Those are the only Inazuma games that had a World Cup

Playing this in the japanese version and going through the effort to get the updated versions kinda made the english version finally releasing years later kinda painful to go back to. Still love the game and of course bought it to support the release. But damn, going from Keshin Armed + Miximax back to the original game felt kinda weird (and the level 5 english dub is horrendous, worse than the american english dub we got for the show). Voice hisatsu is huge though, and actually being able to read without having to learn kanji to understand minigames etc was fun even though I already knew how it all worked hahaha. Kinda wished we got the full series, or just jumped straight to GO Strikers. Imo it was a mistake not to just go straight to Strikers Xtreme by the time this dropped in the English version. Glad we got victory road at the same time as Japan, it feels very different, and the minigames in strikers are so worth it. My brother and I grinded the club stuff together because it made grinding much faster, and the tire pull and bus minigames can be done with 2 controllers each to max out up to 4 characters bonds at once. (the level 5 dubs legitimately sound like they only have 3 voice actors, its worth fans homebrewing their wiis to play Xtreme (or really at this point go strikers) to here the JP dub and not have this problem, if you've played english strikers you'll at least know what most of the menus do from memory)

Nice pacing and editing too I think it's funny how the characters are all middle schoolers, but in german I found the voice acting really fitting because they do not sound like little kids. Also Inazuma Eleven in general has one of the best soundtracks EVER. Inazuma Eleven GO Strikers 2013 has a dedicated fanbase and they made a mod for the game, called Xtreme, that improves it in every aspect possible. It also comes with a fanmade translation since the game is only available in Japanese i think. It can be played via emulation or through a modded Wii. I recommend every fan of the series to check it out.

Not only does this game have 2 sequels but fans have made a further mod that balances the game, adds new characters who were cut from the original and makes most characters better in some way making nearly anyone useable

@@gamefishbram the rom isn’t all that taxing on PCs my computer runs off of a potato practically and can still run a modded version of strikers with custom textures so! I think you should be good. They are super fun especially with miximax and keshins! There should be loads of tutorials on RUclips too!
I played that game quite a bit, and even with the nostalgia factor, I don't remember the game that good honestly. It had little content compared to the DS games, and the gameplay was cool but felt monotonous after some time. This is all my opinion though.
I also had really much fun playing Inazuma Eleven Strikers and in German the voice acting was luckily not as bad only some were unusual but not really annoying
Honestly they should have just continued with this instead of what we have now with Victory Road. This was just a simple football game with great speed and just fun overall. Imagine playing this online against someone else. That would be so much fun. Shame we get this whole Victory Road which looks so stupid. Some tweaks with removing the level system and add individual TP to a move. That would have been so good
I used to watch the anime back in the day, but never got to actually buying the ds games because I had an r4 and my mom couldn't bother lol However, I did manage to get a Strikers copy back in the day, and the 60 or so hours I played it were very sweet and memorable Recently replayed it with some friends in preparation for victory road, still a pretty fun game all things considered haha
Yeahhh I know right, still holds up great today! I'd definetly check out firestorm or blizzard for the DS as well if you can, that's the only one I played on DS but it's awesome :D

I agree with the voice acting point. I'm so accustomed to the Dutch voices from the anime (which are absolutely phenomenal), but the english voices do not fit the characters at all and sound pretty annoying at times
Yeah definitely the normally Dutch voice acting isn't all that amazing compared to English, but its MILES better with Inazuma Eleven. I mean most voices are ok in English but especially characters like Erik are just abysmal 😭
Yeah it's either tp draining (which is still difficult cause Silvis recharges crazy fast) or giving a player with a strong fire move an A kick stat, but otherwise you're out of luck
Not just this game though, the whole Inazuma Eleven franchise is just criminally underrated, even here in europe where we have most of the games (looking at you Galaxy) not a lot of people know about this series, which is a shame becuse it's so fun! Ps: Don't bash the dub XD, I grew up saying the names of the characters and moves in english so hearing the japanese original names really doesn't make sense to me
You couldn't be more right! The franchise deserves more love as a whole. Hahaha my bad. I mean the dub is pretty decent for most characters, but those guys at the end have a very masculine voice in Japanese and in Dutch they also sound like grown men. So to me it feels so dumb they sound like little children in the English dub 😂
I know the Inazuma Eleven fandom didn't like it,because there wasn't a story at all etc... Valid reasons don't get me wrong. But ino,this game was pure fire. I loved it so much and I had so much fun with it It was my very first IE game and despite the gameplay not being the typical one,I think it's still the best version At least for my tastes. So I agree,it deserves better,but I wouldn't go very far. The metascore was 59,but I would give it between a 60 and a 70-75
Yeah I'd agree, this is just a very fun spin off game. I'd personally rank it at like a 75, but than increase the metascore of the DS games to somewhere between 80 and 85

Personally, I never liked this game. The DS and 3DS entries are just so good that this one is just a disappointment. I just really enjoyed the RPG style with the stylus letting you move the characters. None of the console games do it like this and just play more like standard football games. (Which isn't Inazuma 11 to me).
Yeah i get that, if you're expecting a game like on the DS this one isn't your cup of tea. I only played the DS games after this one but I enjoy both very much :D

Great to hear! For most of my videos I use obs or the built in recorder on ps5, but i recente bought an elgato so i've still got to figure out whether or not i want to use that trough obs or not lol

@@gamefishbram the rom isn’t all that taxing on PCs my computer runs off of a potato practically and can still run a modded version of strikers with custom textures so! I think you should be good. They are super fun especially with miximax and keshins! There should be loads of tutorials on RUclips too!

I played that game quite a bit, and even with the nostalgia factor, I don't remember the game that good honestly. It had little content compared to the DS games, and the gameplay was cool but felt monotonous after some time. This is all my opinion though.
Yeah the DS games are objectively better, but I feel this game is overlooked by many :)
You should play the 2013 version, it was in japanese but you already used to the menu anyway from this game, and more players and moves!!

I also had really much fun playing Inazuma Eleven Strikers and in German the voice acting was luckily not as bad only some were unusual but not really annoying

Honestly they should have just continued with this instead of what we have now with Victory Road. This was just a simple football game with great speed and just fun overall. Imagine playing this online against someone else. That would be so much fun. Shame we get this whole Victory Road which looks so stupid. Some tweaks with removing the level system and add individual TP to a move. That would have been so good

I used to watch the anime back in the day, but never got to actually buying the ds games because I had an r4 and my mom couldn't bother lol
However, I did manage to get a Strikers copy back in the day, and the 60 or so hours I played it were very sweet and memorable
Recently replayed it with some friends in preparation for victory road, still a pretty fun game all things considered haha
Yeahhh I know right, still holds up great today! I'd definetly check out firestorm or blizzard for the DS as well if you can, that's the only one I played on DS but it's awesome :D

I agree with the voice acting point. I'm so accustomed to the Dutch voices from the anime (which are absolutely phenomenal), but the english voices do not fit the characters at all and sound pretty annoying at times
Yeah definitely the normally Dutch voice acting isn't all that amazing compared to English, but its MILES better with Inazuma Eleven. I mean most voices are ok in English but especially characters like Erik are just abysmal 😭
Emulating this game in HD is great, plus I just beat the game and unlocked Arion, J.P, Gabi, etc, the Girls Teams is SUPER annoying though
God that last match against the Girls team is abysmal 💀
@@gamefishbram fax, I only beat it on my first try out of luck from spamming Cannon, Acuto, and Lancer shooting moves
Yeah it's either tp draining (which is still difficult cause Silvis recharges crazy fast) or giving a player with a strong fire move an A kick stat, but otherwise you're out of luck
Not just this game though, the whole Inazuma Eleven franchise is just criminally underrated, even here in europe where we have most of the games (looking at you Galaxy) not a lot of people know about this series, which is a shame becuse it's so fun!
Ps: Don't bash the dub XD, I grew up saying the names of the characters and moves in english so hearing the japanese original names really doesn't make sense to me
You couldn't be more right! The franchise deserves more love as a whole.
Hahaha my bad. I mean the dub is pretty decent for most characters, but those guys at the end have a very masculine voice in Japanese and in Dutch they also sound like grown men. So to me it feels so dumb they sound like little children in the English dub 😂

At least for my tastes. So I agree,it deserves better,but I wouldn't go very far. The metascore was 59,but I would give it between a 60 and a 70-75
Yeah I'd agree, this is just a very fun spin off game. I'd personally rank it at like a 75, but than increase the metascore of the DS games to somewhere between 80 and 85

I played Inazuma Eleven Strikers, and I say - it’s the way better than that New Inazuma Eleven game.
At least because Strikers is fun, Victory Road - not so.

I 100% get what you're saying, if you enjoy the rpg games on DS, this game definitely doesn't compare. But I personally feel this game is underrated af and there's a lot of fun to be had. And the title (tho its not one of the best Wii games, I mean Mario Galaxy is objectively leagues above this game) is just marketing 😜

Personally, I never liked this game.
The DS and 3DS entries are just so good that this one is just a disappointment.
I just really enjoyed the RPG style with the stylus letting you move the characters. None of the console games do it like this and just play more like standard football games. (Which isn't Inazuma 11 to me).
Yeah i get that, if you're expecting a game like on the DS this one isn't your cup of tea. I only played the DS games after this one but I enjoy both very much :D
