It's difficult to suggest a topic to branch out into but I can definitely see food reviews mesh nicely with the current format. Car reviews. I just think there would be a lot of things to talk about in your style. Also, someone else posted about helping people with pairings. I think that could be fun for a few episodes if you focused on more interesting pairings... What is the best hooch to smuggle into a cafeteria? What is the worst option for drinking with a fancy meal? Regional dishes or specialties that you've never tried and figure out what would go best with them.

I always found the "lore" bits we got really entertaining. I wouldn't mind seeing a treatment for sitcom, maybe an animation with PV3 as the protaganist. Could make use of flashbacks to PV3's memory, with commentary from PV3 with "What he thought he saw..." but the visual scene we see is the harsh truth. I'd watch the shit out of that.

I would really enjoy more reviews of middle to upper quality, hard alcohol. I think that's what the majority of people drink. It can relate to the population. Wines tend to come and go and are not exactly the same brand or quality year after year. I'm a little bias though. I was a bartender for 10 years and a drunk for going on 32 years now (alcoholics have to go to class).

  • @NorthernWhisper

Happy New Year! I love your sense of humor. In addition to being surprised by what you come up with, I would really appreciate a series on wines - the why, what, where, who and when (or something like that). What I mean is something that can teach me about your field of expertise. I imagine something that blends real teaching with your own brand of lols. What grapes are there and what distinguishes them. What aspects of the wine making process impact the final product to a significant degree. What makes a good wine good and a bad wine bad, aside from just subjective preferences? What am I paying extra for in an expensive wine except for the gold foil lettering on the label? Things like that... I hope you have a wonderful start of 2024! All the best. /John (p.s the stash looks great on you! d.s)

I agree with Dr8 that if you do what you think is fun, we will all still enjoy watching. Still, if you are looking for ideas, maybe you could work in some educational topics that tap your expertise as well as entertainment talents. Just some ideas: A wine tasting on how wines go bad: over heated; over cold; open too long, corked, extra bubbles, just overaged, etc.; Maybe a gin tour - what types of gins are there and which are good for mixing v. more straight up? What is amaro and how many styles are there? What did they do (in the US) during prohibition to drinks in terms of adulteration/dilution etc. that was dangerous? Why is it so dangerous to distill your own alcohol at home? For what they are worth. I'll follow no matter what!
