Thank you mate, appreciate the kind words. On holiday just now but I'm half way through working on wwf games for snes so keep your eyes peeled for that, hopefully you'll enjoy that one too man 👍
The black box wrestling game for nes was the best wrestling game hands down. No one will ever forget star man. Oh and happy new year man hope this channel gets the attention it deserves.
@@jonbourgoin182 if that's what your after then you are in luck, those videos should hopefully come soon. There's just a few more ports for some of these games I need to cover again for the likes of spectrum, commodore etc. Once they are out of the way I'll definitely be checking out both the snes and mega drive versions of wwf games released for them. So two videos, one covering the snes wwf games and another covering megadrive wwf games 😊
Have you played these games yourself? What did you think of them? If you enjoyed this video please consider giving the video a like, comment and subscribe , cheers!
Great review, King of The Ring is the only WWF game that i find playable these days. KOTR is the blueprint for WWF Super WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and RAW for the Genesis and SNES
Thanks mate, glad to hear you enjoyed. If you have plenty spare time on your hand I've loads of wrestling game reviews on my channel, wwe smackdown shut your mouth coming next Friday 👍
WWF wrestlemania challenge, loved beefcakes music and would tag him in just to listen to it. Completed it with my cousin at the time. Was a tough last match but we did it!
The first game i got in my life as a kid after my family got NES was the original WrestleMania. Don't remember if we ever beat it back then but i know i wasn't good at it. Played it later on in life along with the sequels and none of them are much worthwhile these days. Only thing cool now is the box cover art for collecting.
4:50 I never understood how the older wrestling games dealt with championship belts. Like this for example. You play through the game and beat it, just to be shown a picture of the belt.... Like how the hell hard would it have been to just show your character in the ring holding up or wearing the belt... Or the games where the character makes their entrance & they're supposedly the champion but not wearing the belt.. idk, it just always honestly ruined the game for me & I feel like it wouldn't have taken much extra work to put the belt/belts in the games.
Tecmo World Wrestling is the best wrestling game on the nes.. The only problem is the lack of a vs mode.. A vs mode woulda really made Tecmo World Wrestling great..
Great video. I have played all the NES WWF games and honestly, WWF wrestlemania Challenge is the best one. You have some wrestlers that have their actual moves in there. You can tag your buddy in a two player game. WWF wrestlemania is trash, WWF steel cage challenge is trash and WWF king of the ring is a dumpster fire with flaming ticks with rabies lol.
@@RobClooney Rick rude has the rude awakening, beefcake has the sleeper, you hold the button down, warrior has the gorilla press slam, Randy has the flying elbow drop and I think that's it.
I spent way too much time with warzone and attitude for PS1 back in the day. The FMVs of the wrestlers challenging you are pretty great. Look up WWF warzone Ahmed Johnson FMVs they are too funny 🙂
This may sound weird but I've got a sega related video coming up soon, will be on the Game gear though. Master System and megadrive videos to follow after that
Glad to see the algorithm picked you up! Great content!!!
Thanks very much, plenty more still to come. Next up is wrestlemania 2000 for n64
These videos deserve way more attention than they get. Good quality production my dude.

Never played that. I'm hoping to do some kind of spin series one day so may cover it then. Appreciate the kind words too boss!
Loving the videos m8! 1st time on the channel and gutted, I haven't seen them sooner. Subscribed now anyway 👍 Boss Man, you Knob Jockey had me lol 😆
Thanks mate, glad to hear you enjoyed, plenty more wrestling video game content to come aswell.
@@the16bitprick36 looking forward 👍
I remember playing WWF Wrestlemania and thinking it was great. I really was a dumb kid. Lol. Great video!
Sure it was for the time but with such a large variety of wrestling games to choose from these days, it wouldnt be one i'd go back to in a hurry.
I have played all except for King of the Ring for NES. Steel Cage Challenge was the one I owned and enjoyed.
Hell yeah man good to see a new vid from you, I love wrestling game reviews.
Hope you enjoyed this one then mate, good to hear from you too
@@the16bitprick36 are you ever going to review the Mega Drive/SNES wrestling games?

4:30 Was that a sound bite from Preston Lacey chasing Weeman on Jackass? 🤣🤣🤣
Good ear, yes it was 😂😂 always been one of my favourite bits from jackass. That and dave England shitting in a display toilet in a hardware store 😂😂

I thought I remember doing a rude awakening with Rick Rude back in the day

Right. Challenge is my favorite of this bunch too. And while he said these games don't feature finishers, that's not true of Challenge.

Good video
But these games were bad
Its almost the game as the game bot version for KOTR with two more wrestlers..
Both as horrendous as each other.
I actually liked warzone and attitude on the ps1.
I don't mind the simulation side it brings but I find they get boring really quickly and the "story mode" for attitude is an absolute grind
@@the16bitprick36 I really liked the character creation and move modifier could really make some mental wrestlers

If you ever wanna do a video on the ps2 games, you know where to find me 😎
Definitely, I'll get to them eventually, a few more from the 8 & 16bit era I need to get through first
Are you not a fan of Sega I don't think I've seen a Sega video on the channel

How do you miss someone as big as Andre the giant. It's like the game is taunting you.
