LYRV Review - Jomise Model F2S 4K Dash Cam with 2nd Rear View 1080P Camera

- In this video, I review a second dashcam from a company called Jomise. See my recent review of the Jomise K7 dashcam here -www.loveyourrv.com/jomise-k7-...
This time it's the Jomise model F2S, which includes two cameras. One is a 4K dashcam for the front windshield, and the second a 1080P HD camera for the rear window view.
Disclaimer: The Jomise F2S dashcam review sample was provided to me free of charge. However, I'm not affiliated with Jomise, nor was I monetarily compensated for the review. - Ray

Jomise F2S Feature List:
Two cameras - 4K front and 1080P rear
GPS tracking
WiFI Connection
Parking Monitor
G Force Crash Sensor
Speed Warning
Sony Starvis Lens
3-inch Display Screen
Likes:
It is reasonably priced at about $100
It comes with front and rear cameras
Low power use 6W and easy to install
Packed with features
GPS works well
WiFi app to view and setup
Dislikes:
I’m not too fond of the stick-on mounting system
Can’t power the dashcam when off the mount
4K front camera footage - found the focus soft on distant things
The rear camera footage a little too bright and lacks color
Lucky Cam app not great, just OK
Buttons for camera settings not very intuitive to use
GPS Map Tracker software gave a warning not to run (Windows 10)
Overall it seems like a decent enough dashcam given the price, the second camera, and all the features. Hopefully, it will work well long term. I'll be back with an update once I've used it for a few months.

Awesome find and review Ray!
Great vid. Those advance green left turns are very common here in the Greater Vancouver area. We are also starting to see way more delayed left turns at intersections now. Where instead of having the left-turn traffic go advance of the rest of the traffic, they go after the traffic going straight from the same direction. Cheers
Hi LYRV. My guess is that the tiny lens (analog) isn’t capable of resolving much at distance. The chip might be capable of digitizing at “4K” but the image it is digitizing might be a blurred mess. Might be a classic example of “crap in - crap out” digitally. Thanks so much for these reviews to help out the community. These manufacturers understand that you have a voice, a presence with the community, and thanks for being honest with us.
I found this info = The Jomise F2S 4k has only the Sony Stavis imx335m CMOS-Sensor! This is a 5Mpx / 2592x 1944px - Sensor.
The 4K resolution is fake and the picture is only extrapolated!
Hey Ray. Of course, I suppose it's a to each his own type of deal, but, I don't really like suction cups that much. On one of my GPS's, I usually mount the gps real low near the bottom, near the dash itself, but, the suction cup on one of my GPS's would end up falling off. I had gotten myself a dash cam, well, I've been through probably 5 or 6 at this point, but, after a few times of using my dash cams, I decided to get a dash cam mirror mount. You can pretty much look up dash cam mirror mount. The one I got seems to be near universal so far. Though the last sentence I just mentioned is pretty true for most dash cams and probably other items too, and same for mirrors too. I also don't like those stupid 3M sticky tape either. Like you mention, it makes it hard to just transfer the mount over to another vehicle as well, plus, it can melt a bit in the heat and become brittle in the cold, which is another reason I got the mirror mounts, you don't have that issue of it falling off in either the heat or the cold.
I always like watching your reviews. I want to put a rear mounted camera on my little 13 ft trailer and I will rewatch your videos before I choose one. Did you check to make sure if there is a protective film on the lens? I can't remember what device I had, but it was a long time before I realized that I hadn't removed it. Thanks again for your reviews.
Good thought, yes that crossed my mind. I did remove the plastic film protector and even cleaned the lens really well with camera lens cleaner. Cheers, Ray
Great review Ray thanks. Would be curious about how much power the cameras use.
Thanks it looks like its in the 5 watt range according to my power boxes I tested it on. Which confirms what the manual states 6 watts Cheers, Ray
@@LoveYourRV Thx!
Thanks for the review Ray. Nice little camera kit for the price. You didn't mention about on board memory or how much recording you have, especially with two cameras being recorded. How long can you record and how long before it starts to overwrite data? Cheers!
Thanks, it can take up to a 128GB micro SD memory card. Time depends on the resolution that the cameras are set to and if a person is using both cameras, you don't have to plug the back camera in. But in a few informal tests I found at the highest resolution using both cams it as around 5 - 6 hours and at the lowest around 20 hours of record time before it overwrites.
@@LoveYourRV That's pretty decent Ray. Thanks!
So, do you think Akaso is providing you the best value at this time? (I am assuming of course, that you are satisfied with Akaso) Keep up the informative content from a happy subscriber.
I've been using the Akaso Trace 1 Pro for over a year and a half now it does the job pretty well, but its interesting to be able to try other brands and designs and see if anything will work better. Overall I think the Akaso has good value. Cheers, Ray
Looks like a nice set up what is the range for the Wi-Fi That's your using for your cell phone
Not very far if I'm in the RV I can barely get a connection to it with the truck parked out front and me in the back of the RV
Hi Ray. I never thought of using a rear camera to watch the truck bed for backing up the 5th wheel. But because of the size of the display I’m thinking that the user would eventually revert back the looking over your shoulder like a giraffe. What do you think?
I actually tried using a smartphone via the Wi-Fi app so the picture was larger and still clear. I showed that in the video. I assume it would also work well on an Android tablet or iPad using the same app for an even larger view. Cheers, Ray
Hi Ray. A little off topic; about 2 years ago you reviewed a Tadi Brothers camera. I purchased one and was happy with it. I sold my rv (camera went with it), and I'll be buying a new camera system. Do you know how well Tadi compares with more recent cameras you've reviewed? Thanks, John
Hello John, I can only go by the models I reviewed but found the Haloview displays had better detail and color than the Tadibrothers, and cheaper price-wise. I found the overall performance better on the Haloview.
Having said that I haven't reviewed any of the newer Tadibrothers products. Cheers, Ray
@@LoveYourRV Thanks Ray. I'll take a look at Haloview
@@jdux9089 You're welcome. Here are my Haloview videos I've done - www.loveyourrv.com/tag/Haloview/
Does the camera retain the settings when powered down. I would not like to have to go through all the setup every time I spend 2 to 14 days in a campground.
Yes, it has a built in battery so can actually work in its own for a few minutes, so it can record short clips as a parking monitor without the vehicle powering it. But even when its onboard battery is depleted it still remembers the settings. Cheers, Ray
Hello, hope you are well, can you please tell me what the blue light on the front of the dash cam does . it is located on bottom left corner ,looking at the camera from the front , thanks
I believe it its a security LED for the parking monitor function
How do you set the screen so it shows the data. Mine dosnt show any info when you look back at the footage. That we might need ahowvit involved an insurance claim
Clicked the Amazon link..... Currently unavailable We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.
Thanks for the update, it was there a couple days ago, likely they sold out and will restock. Can sometimes happen when they send a bunch out for reviews. Cheers, Ray

I will buy one with IMX415 which is 8MP

ahh, that's why the focus looked soft to me in 4K mode, they are just upscaling it. Thanks Ray
How do you get it to do mph
Change the Speed Unit setting - ruclips.net/video/kSUfyK6qiuQ/видео.html
Sorry name e brand power box thx
Qu'est-ce je gagne sur toutes ces choses
Both links are dead end
Both work for me. I click the K7 link and it shows $169 on Amazon and an offer for an additional $30 off coupon box and I click the F2S link and it works but shows Currently unavailable. Must have sold out. I imagine I'm no the only reviewer they pushed the product out too, so likely sold out the stuff Amazon ware house had in stock. Was there for sale a few days ago when I checked. Cheers, Ray
@@LoveYourRV Funny. From here the only Jomise camera shown by Amazon.ca is their model D530.
They don't seem to have much presence on .CA I see it on .UK www.amazon.co.uk/JOMISE-Recorder-Overspeed-G-Sensor-Monitoring/dp/B08MW8LM5Z Maybe being a new model they haven't rolled it out to all the Amazons.
