I just upgraded from 5800x3d to 7800x3d I seen a slight improvement in warzone I run 3440x1440 with 4080 gpu. But I did see some bigger in other games like Forza and Hogwartz Legacy
@@pyurologie it was probably due to my ram being clocked at 7400 cl34 with tuned secondaries & an fclk 2133 I have a 7800x3d by the way. I went back & redid my ram settings so i have to benchmark the game again. Only problem is, I did a fresh install with a custom os. but not to worry it took me about 3 days to get everything back up & running + new ram settings. now I have 6400 cl28-37-37-30-67 1.485v Vddg iod - 940 vddg ccd - 920 LLC - low Fclk - 2133 Vsoc - 1.210 = 1.255v - 1.258v my settings are now solid & I don’t have a latency penalty anymore. I’ll get back to you when I benchmark the game
Still wondering should i ditch my 7950x which i have since launch and get 7800x3D since i mostly play warzone and in warzone even tuned to the max it's kinda weaker than zen 3 3D cpu. I have friends at retail, they can give me 7800x3D for a test run while i would try to get rid of 7950x. Do you think it's worth it or should i wait for new gen ?
I haven't tested against the 7950X in warzone actually. Warzone doesn't benefit as immensely as other games from the X3D, I suspect the 7950X should be pretty powerful. I'll do a comparison soon
@@pyurologie My sweetspot settings for 7950x was turning off HT, undervolt negative curve -25 and 6000mhz cl 30 + buildzoid timings. Only thing which is annoying, is that cstate limiter, no matter what 7950x won't go past 5.5ghz on all core. Even though cstate limiter didn't exist with release bios of the board i have. It could go all core 5.7-5.8ghz, Dunno why AMD uses that cstate limiters...
Some people say your performance cores -1 and some say threads so 8+8 = 16. Try both depending on what you have. I keep 7 for my 7800x3d and it works as good as it can.
Ironically the performance has dropped a bit since launch. I used to get 280-300fps on warzone urzikstan with 7800x3d (5ghz pbo)/4090 oc'd and tuned with 6400 cl30. Now i get 230-260fps on avg. Zombies is even worse in a lot of areas too sadly.
Atm im using 7800x3d + 6700XT i felt amd is better than nvidia at this game because amd dont need physically scheduler and you can play more high fps with cheap gpu
i want to get a good pc for gta 6, i have a 5500 and an rtx 3060 12GB (16 nram), and i want to upgrade to AM5 and i dont know if it will be need because i could just upgrade the cpu instead of the whole system, do i actually need to go to AM5?

When 4090 is working 98-99%, I don't see tearing, it's all smooth :D I don't know if limiting FPS (lower than monitor's refresh rate) can improve input lag and heat & you feel smooth(er)
I run a I7 12700KF with a 4080 ddr4 but I'm looking to upgrade to a 7800x3d and ddr5 so I can run 4k. Can't wait to upgrade. Great vid bro

For what ever reason I have 54% bottle neck on the cpu
& 56% on the gpu in 1080p same set up as you

They are doing always ryzen 3600 + 3060ti i was playing warzone 150/200 fps 2/3 years ago after patchs my cpu fucked up

I don't know about GTA6 requirements yet, but with a 3060 I think you should be good with an AM4 X3D like 5700X3D to get good 1080 performance

they're about the same in gaming, not much difference when tuned up. 7950X3D uses more power

Good observation! yeah on a second look, there is a big difference in the 1%s in the benchmarks. At those numbers, they both felt butter smooth though
