Damn dude, I bought one of these covers because of your video and I literally missed the part about going over the thicker spots in each loop instead of skipping. Got a small gap on one of my humps because I skipped a loop all the way around but I'm the only one who will ever know it's there and the wheel feels AMAZING. Just wanted to stop back by and say thanks!
I didn’t skip a single loop. I guess that’s why I needed like 4 hours than the 2 hours in the manual. Mine isn’t perfect either, but it sits well and feels good.
Looking good brother! Did the wheel on my 340i with LJ’s video a few months ago. You just motivated me to do the one in my B8.5 S4 tonight! Thanks for the. Tips broski! 👍😎
Sick man I just got a performance exhaust can’t wait to put it on got a performance selector lever coming in on Saturday then I’m going to get electronic steering wheel #Bmw turbo Gang
Dude this is a great video and you've inspired me to do this mod. Was wondering... If you started over, would you use the double sided tape? ...do you recommend removing the trim pieces so you get a more flush and "tucked" fit? ...and how is the quality of the alcantara?
Hey! I personally don’t think there’s a need for the double sided tape and if you pull the trim you might be better off however the trim does not come out very easy. You have to remember Alcantara is a brand nobody really gets that stuff outside of car manufacturers it is actually backordered for quite a while this is very similar called micro suede which is basically Alcantara and quality is good
I do not have a heated steering wheel but I can tell you that this cover will not keep heat from coming through it so yes it will work on your heated steering wheel
Hey I just did this on my wheel, got done a few minutes ago. However down at the M emblem how did you tuck it in? Mine looks awful but I want to avoid removing the airbag/wheel if possible...
Hey i have a question, does the cover have an impact on steering wheel heating? Because I now have steering wheel heating and i would like to have such a cover i’m only wondering if my steering wheel heating is still going to work properly.
What’s up man this Zay with the black f30, we meet at the track, Santa's Drag Racing Toy Drive. I forgot the name of the website you suggested for the best charge pipe
I've been practicing on one of these and the double stick tape makes adjustments along the way almost impossibly. I think mewant wants the thread doubled?
On dragy I’ve done a 10.9 but that was with terrible traction. Just released a Instagram post showing how the car on a track spins all 4 tires through 3 gears
@@fullmetaljacktt they get traction problems, hp does not mean they are 10’s cars hellcats running 11.5-12.5 at track because no traction and even with tire they don’t do well at 4200ish lbs

Awesome 😎
Very intuitive. Especially on the part where it’s every loop and where to skip a loop. I figured it out the hard way.
Thanks
Man cars really make us do some crazy stuff. I can tell you aren't the sewing type but this mod has you looking like a seamstress 😂😂 . I'm next
Haha very true

Great video. I'd rather pay the money for it to be 100% than save the money and be 90% happy
No such thing as 100% and your talking 1000 vs 60 but sure do you
WOW that was awesome! Looks like factory fresh new steering wheel.
Thank you!
Don’t be soo hard on yourself bro that steering wheel came out spectacular I’m planing on doing it for my S4 and A6
Thanks bro! Good luck on yours
Nice, It looked intimidating, but now I dare Thanks man !!
Thanks bro!
Awesome video definitely inspired me to do mine
Thank you! Do it!
I’ll make a video on it

The feel of it man I love. Thicker more grippy ties in the car well. Yours looks bad ass

very good job, thanks for sharing

Great job, bro. I’m thinking of getting it for my SLK.
Thanks, you should
you did a great job bro, are you kidding me haha

Looks good man! Look forward to seeing it in person!
Thanks!
I am planning to wrap my steering wheel soon and your video helps a lot! Thanks bro👍🏻 Did you re stitch some area?
No just did it once
I love your garage. As a fellow M-Power guy. I really admire your space.

Hey man love the content. I have a g30 540 do not want to spend 700-1000 on a new wheel. How did this hold up?
Holds up well, I’d say 2 years for sure
Very Good JOB

double side tape could ruin your actual leather when u try to remove it...........
Looks great buddy
Thanks man!
I see you did not use the adhesive. I was thinking of not running it to preserve the leather on the bottom. Does it move around without it?
I did not use it, it can move a bit if you force it
@@BOO5Tchannel i don’t mind if moving a little but would you say it’s excessive? if you were so to do it again would you use the adhesive?
No it’s not bad at all, I would not use the tape it will ruin your stock wheel leather

Won’t wrinkle if you do it correctly, it’s not too hard
Does the Alcantara feel as good as an original bmw Alcantara steering wheel?
Yes I think so I had oem alcantara in the car and it’s basically same thing
Considering this for a Mustang. Any reason not to go Alcantara all around?
Alcantara in my opinion does not hold up well on steering wheel
@@BOO5Tchannel Interesting, thank you.

I don’t use the tape ever, I have not had any issues with the tread either but doubled should be stronger
Bro you did a good job bro!! Can you do my mine? 👍😎
What knot do you use at the end of each section?
Simple knot
Where’s those paddles from man!
Many companies sell them such as Kies Motorsport
Do you have this for genesis sedan 2015
I don’t sell these it was an installation video I made on my car, check amazon
How is it holding up quality wise?
When I had it was good car is now with new owner
Why did you remove the wheel…. Surely it would be better keeping it in the car??
Most definitely not you have to manipulate the wheel a lot to get it right, i would be surprised to see you do this on the car
you run the 1/4 yet?
