Bill another development if I move the rudder stick to the right it activated the throttle just from center to the right but I still have no throttle on the throttle stick I fly mode two throttle and rudder on the left stick Kevin
Peter you need to give me a little bit more information to be able to assist you. Are you saying that after using the model set up on your radio or in Companion there is nothing showing in the Mixes window in the model you have set up?
@@the-happy-RC-flyer Hi Bill, thanks for your kind reply. No mixing show up on the radio, using radio not companion. But I looked at your mix and “copied” the setup to my Radiomaster and I’ve got this working 👍🏻 love your tutorials, kicking me in the right direction as the beginner I am. Have a nice day, thanks 🇩🇰
Hi Bill you are probably sleeping as I write this but I have found the problem I was using a new Spektrum 4 channel receiver and the only way I could get the motor to work was to put it in chan 1. I could not do the mix as the RM16s T/X puts the motor on chan 3 and the Spektrum would just sit there and beep when plugged into 3. So I thought I would try a FrSky 6 chan RX and after hooking it up it worked fine. My electronic expertise is marginal to say the least, I just don't know why the Spektrum would not work, I do thank you for all the help without your input I would have not got this far regards Kevin California USA
I cant find a video on how to set up elevons WITH a rudder. My quasarXL has rudder. My tx does not have an option to select "flying wing" in the setup wizard.??? My channel mapping is AETR. I want to keep rudder on my left stick, and use the right stick as I do on normal configurations. I'm assuming I would use ch 5 as my second aileron, but after that I'm lost!!
A) Set up Basic Model then alter CH1 source Aileron INPUT Weight -50% CH1 additional line source Elevator INPUT Weight 50% Same again for CH2 but both weights 50% CH3 Throttle CH4 source Rudder INPUT Weight 100% Hope that helps.
Dude!! If you could slow down just a bit . It's real hard to follow along while trying to do what you are flying thru. i had to stop and backup the video a dozen times just to get thru the companion portion. i understand you have been navigating these this for a long time, but many of us haven't. Thanks for everything you do
I have a FX-79 wing with flap setup (not flown yet). Looking at it, I think an up elevator mix is needed when using the down flaps. With down flaps, I think it would send the wing in a dive unless counter balanced with some up elevator? Does this make sense?
Hi Frank, you cannot set up flaps on a wing as both Elevons going down are your elevator control. If you set up a flap mix your nose would dive when activating the flaps.
@@the-happy-RC-flyer Thanks for quick reply. But I need to be clear on setup. On my flying wing, The ailerons are set up as elevons and there are stand alone flaps separate from the elevons. Since the flaps are on the trailing edge of the wing, deploying down flaps should work the same as down elevons and cause the wing to dive. So I think some up elevon mix is required to keep wing level when using down flaps. For example, my high wing trainer plane with flaps needs some down elevator to keep the plane from climbing when flaps are deployed. (This planes flaps are in a position on its wing to cause climb rather than dive). Maybe setting flaps on flying wings to go up would be safer than down since would cause wing to climb?
@@frankroth5238 ok I have never set up an aircraft in that configuration. I have a video which shows you how to set up separate flaps which will help you with the programming. ruclips.net/video/csDYQxdJA1k/видео.html
Hi Bill I cant get my throttle to work I followed your instructions (twice) and no joy it will just beep over and over I moved the throttle to high then plugged it in but same result constant beeping. I checked the esc which is OK, when I go the the page that show the percentage of stick movement there is nothing on chan 3 all the other chan are fine showing from zero to 100% I am using the Radiomaster T/X16s bound to a Spektrum receiver (No problems with either) any ideas? thanks in advance Kevin
@@the-happy-RC-flyer Thanks for the answer Bill no I have not set up the safety throttle, what I don't understand is when I check the servo movement on the TX nothing shows up on the screen on the throttle chan and all other channels are working from zero to 100% I am sure it is a simple fix but it has got me stumped at the moment regards Kevin
Thanks Mr Clark, helped me, your videos are awesome as always...from South Africa, Durban ! 😁👍

Why not use ch1 and ch2 for the elevens?
Yes of course you can use any of the channels you wish.

Make sure your inputs are default and check your mixes. You can send me a back up of your radio and settings and I will take a look for you.
Nice video, but I cant seem to get the right aileron to go up when I bank right? Do you know how to fix that?
Happy Christmas Devin, please check your settings as per my video, is the aileron not moving at all or the incorrect direction?
Thanks for this tutorial, on my TX16s the mixing doesn’t show up at all, where does it get as on yours?

Hi Kevin, I am pleased you have sorted out your problems.
How to make Elevons settings with edge version??
The settings are the same but this video may help you.

Hi there, why channel 4 and not channel 2 for the second elevon? Thanks! (my set up is AETR)
David you can choose whichever channels for the Mixes you want as long as they are assigned to the correct Input.
anyone figured out how to put the negative symbol in front of the weight?
Just scroll left last 0
ขอบคุณครับ
You are very welcome.
how do you change it to a minus figure. damn this is a how to video
u figure it out?
wtf how did you change it to - negative
Just put a - sign in front of the weight in the mixes.
u figure out how to do it?
you need to reduce the weight to 50% on all channels
