The only thing I'm not so sure about is you having not included the thornax launcher.
I think it's a nod to the movie, where Ackar never used the Launcher and had the small shield during the Arena Fight with Strakk
I think that something that makes Ackar feel "worn" in comparison to the others is that he's basically a toa Ignika with a few parts to make him fit in with the glatorian, the design isn't as Flashy or "super star" like with Gresh and Malum with their elemental Claws or Kiina with her mata ray head or Vastus with his snake shoulders. Ackar feels like a dated design and whether that was intentional or not it fits right with his character
As someone who loved Nova Orbis while it was around it was really cool to hear a bit about how things were going to go. I completely get why it had to be put to rest though, nothing should have to come at the cost of anyone’s mental health. Especially if it was meant to be fun
I feel like Ackars helmet was desing as his helmet first, but was used for Berix first.
I think this might be one of your best Glatorian, after Strax or Stronius

i have been loving seeing ur full collection of modded glatorian. i got into bionicle in 2008 i think, so it was no wonder ive loved these characters in particular. i recently did revamps of vorox and makuta gorast so i can make them kiss :3 and im really looking forwards to your version of Mata Nui!! keep up the good stuff :)
Akar reminds me of g1 ironhide, g1 movie kup, beast wars dinobot and other old soldier type characters who feel like they no longer have anything left to offer others until someone like mata nui for example giving said old soldiers one last hurrah. Old soldiers, i salute you all. Amen to that.
I just waited to comment and tell you how enjoyable your videos are. There's clearly so much heart that goes into what you make (the videos, the mocs, the lego history etc). Your way of expressing your intentions behind your desigm choices for your mocs combined with the way you pose the figures in your videos have given me a lot of inspiration for my own mocing.
I was into bionicle as a kid and your video on the 2015 sets got me into buying that line and getting back into it
The car puns will be strong with this episode I can feel it!
Interesting bit of Nova Orbis trivia, somehow didn't catch that. And yeah, I read the rest of the comment section. Letting it go is completely understandable. It was a fun ride, at least.

What’s funny is that in the next year in the star’s wave tahu got a better version of the flame sword. So ackar has basically no unique molds.
My favorite character from the legend reborn is Ackar. This mod is amazing just like your other mods.
Great mod! Those grey pins attaching the small spikes onto Ackar’s chest could be replaced with those new red ones which have friction to match the colour scheme more
Im very glad you kept the grey hand pieces. Many others would just have replaced them with the red pieces. However one thing that bothers me is that his head seems to be way smaller in relation to his body
Yeah, I've noticed that too.
@@NickonPlanetRippleit's probably a side effect of it being originally an Agori helmet. I feel it's not as noticeable when he's among other glatorians though. I'm not sure why or how, but the proportion seems better.

I really like what you gave the old Warrior, especially the backstory of this MOC entirely! Your'e Vastus Mod at 3:45 too, if we may get to see him soon. And don't suppose we could get a video entirely focused on the Chronicler's Company as Toa too sometime as well, no? Just a thought...

You don't have to do this but remember my suggestion about exo fore mocs. I have some ideas
:Updated versions of the first wave battle machines (along with the other ones
: your version of the unmade final boss of the final wave
Like I said you don't have to do any of this but I would be nice if you did.

I love Ackar, but I can definitely see why long-time collectors would be disappointed. I find his more elementary build to be exactly what makes him stand out among the other Glatorians.

Funnily enough, even his build was old school, as a basic Inika, compared to more recent canister sets.
Kinda fitting imho. It was just refreshing getting a simple Inika build with those bright Tahu colors for once.
You can get orange transparent hands if you want
I wonder if there's a way to make those spiked upper arms work on this Mod. Idk why I liked the double spikes but I still do

Having the weirdest mandela effect-type situation right now. I swear I had an orange skrall armor piece from the furno bike when I was a kid but looking it up on bricklink it was never in that set?
The orange Skrall/Vorox armor piece was in the Gali Uniter set. The dark red version was in XPlode (Hero Factory Wave 1)

Ackar is pretty cool, but I don't think I like the shoulder armor and I think that he is a bit too orange, but still I think that it's a good moc

I'm afraid not. The pressure was affecting my health and I had to cut it out. It just isn't possible for one person to complete all the projects I start. Something had to give.

Hey, so. Do you think they used the older, more worn-out build method because Ackar himself is an older, more worn-out character?
Hard to say. Typically the sets are designed, then a story and character are written around them.
@@NickonPlanetRipple Good point, I did forget about that. Perhaps the reverse was true (the writers noticed the discrepancy and worked it into the character) or perhaps it's just one of those times where something meaningful emerges quite by accident.

Hey Nick! Now I know this is kind of personal but as a soon to be high school graduate who aspires to become a LEGO content creator on RUclips I was wondering how you make a living? I of course know that you can’t make much from RUclips as unfortunate as it is (and believe me you deserve more recognition) but I am also aware of your Planet Ripple series which I’m such makes much more income.
I was wondering if you have been juggling these two things with a third source of income as well? I ask this because I plan to become a professional plumber and start my LEGO RUclips channel on the side with the hope that I will become successful enough to retire from plumbing eventually and take all my energy towards RUclips.
If you have any thoughts or suggestions it would mean so much to me! I love you and your fantastic content. Always will.
