I am here to say that no you aren’t talking to nobody and people are reading this comment, and I personally appreciate you for pointing out details that probably took a lot of work, but might also go unnoticed, have a nice day
This video is impressive at showing the difference between the two mad scientists. Mutran is more eccentric and introverted, and views science as an (horrific, for his subjects) art. Meanwhile Chirox is less odd, but more extroverted and aggressive. Chirox's personality translates into a love for more destructive Rahi (like the Visorak), compared to Mutran's stranger but less hostile monsters. But both are Makuta, so they're both majorly amoral, and their rivarly makes them surprisingly petty (in spite of their high status). Vrahno managed to convey their personality differences in under three minutes without a single spoken line, that's just genius.
Mutrans method is: “how can I I make this creature better at doing its thing?” While chirox is trying to make said creature “better” by turning it into a killing machine
This was absolutely incredible I especially loved Chirox's transition from his "default" form to his Phantoka form. That seamless shapeshifting is exactly how I imagined a Makuta to look when they change their appearance. Once again, well done!
Story here is that Mutran ,with his shadow matoran, and Chirox are waiting for their brethren to arrive. So they pass the time by experimenting their viruses on tiny Rahi. Once they see their brethren, they start to fly away to catch up. After Chirox left, Mutran wants his Shadown matoran to get the rahi that was recently mutated.
The intro, tracking the little Rahi as an introduction, really follows the same script that the Miramax films but also the Hero Factory episodes had. The atmosphere of this short is a good fusion between both of them. The music and ambience (and animation style) of Miramax but the goofy bits worked in like Hero Factory
Just a little more, and he'd have a full film in his channel split into pieces This was so clean and well-designed! The personalities were clear through non-verbals alone, which is impressive on your part as an animator.
Where can I see that? I always wondered what people ate in the Matoran Universe because food is talked about but never seen. I've actually written an entire list of Matoran cuisine that I imagined in my spare time (sad, I know), together with alcoholic beverages. I imagine Roodaka would only go to a very high end bar in Metru Nui where she has her own booth and anyone sat there has to move when she arrives. Or maybe it would be a dead end bad guy saloon on Voya Nui where they serve Vortixx Vodka which is illegal throughout most of the Universe.
Destralian wine is a claret, manufactured on the continent of Destral. It is a popular vintage and a favourite among the Makuta. Makuta Miserix had Destralian claret distilled in his personal vineyard, in the protosteel walls of his chateau in the armoured-spider infested Valley of Karnax on Destral. After Makuta Teridax had overthrown Miserix and taken over his residences, he celebrated with a two thousand year old bottle of Chateau-de-Karnax.
@@tombarter3287 nice. According to the wikia, the Vuata Maca Tree's fruits provide energy. And the video is in Vrahno's channel, though it's a non-canon gag animation test, but pretty funny nonetheless.
@@Garmagic2yFhenrakh9 Sounds like the Matoran would use Vuata Maca Juice as a kind of Red Bull. Maybe mix it with Madu Vodka! Drink it out of the shell with a little umbrella in it. They could have parties by the Great Sea like in the Caribbean.
@@Garmagic2yFhenrakh9 Vuata Maca juice was an energy drink consumed by the Matorans, often mixed with Matu Cabolo Vodka and served in a coconut shell during Matoran parties on the beaches of the Island of Mata Nui. Matoran were also known during their time in Metru Nui and on the Island of Mata Nui for their production of Matoran Ale, which was served in various establishments throughout the Universe, as Matoran were the most widely spread species within it. Metru Nui was divided into specific districts. Convi-Metru was the entertainment district to which the working class of the city were drawn during their recreational hours and contained The Bohrok's Head, a popular pub, frequented by Lady Roodaka of the Visorak Horde, in order to gain information. Convi-Metru's upper levels boasted the Metru-Nui Opera House, of which Makuta Teridax was a frequent patron. The glitterati of Metru Nui also frequented Po-Plaza, a large plaza circling the peak of the highest mountain in Po-Metru, built around the utmost tip of Metru Nui, where the Vahki were built. Huge statues and colorful banners decorated the grounds, while restaurants and shops were built into the plaza walls. Amongst the popular sites in or near Po-Plaza were the the Universal Museum, and the former Turaga Hall, before Turaga Dume, for unknown reasons, made the Coliseum his place of residence and the centre of of government for the Turaga. Po-Plaza also boasted the Enua, the most prestigious restaurant in the universe, which was co-owned by Lord Pridak of the Barraki and reserved specifically for the wealthiest and most powerful residents of the city. One would often have to make reservations a decade in advance. However, being the co-owner and prior to the war of the six kingdoms, Pridak was allowed in whenever he wanted and had a specific booth reserved for himself. Anyone eating and/or drinking at and/or had reservations at the times he visited, were forced automatically to leave.
For some reason Makuta Krika's jump at 1:18 makes me scared, like they’re such a grotesque makuta, and the way they leap is almost.. Unsettling.. And that’s EXACTLY why I love it
I love the attention to detail here. From how you portrayed the personalities of the Makuta in the first scene (Chirox wants to squash a bug, Mutran stops him to he can experiment on it), to how Krika doesn't fly but rather "jumps" using his mask power. Those little details I just love.
The way it all moves is fantastic! It’s fluent and has that look to it that really makes you nostalgic for the old movies Excellent work, can’t wait to see more!
This really highlights the differences in Rahi creation methods between Mutran and Chirox. While Mutran prefers to be more subtle with his creations and ensure they have a purpose beyond brutish methods, Chirox basically just creates creatures that have no other purpose than to be creatures of destruction. So while Mutran's modifications are so subtle that even the Rahi can't tell the difference, Chirox just turns it into a wannabe killing machine.
Eljay Johnsen ok I might have to get the smaller sets first because I am running low on money. The 2008 sets do look amazing so yeah definitely gonna spend my money on the 2008 sets.

Good idea, I already ordered Vamprah and Bitil. The only problems are the brittle 2008 joints tho. But I'll be using them for MOCs anyway so it doesn't matter for me, I can simply use other joints...
Holy crap this is incredible! Just the way each Makuta flies is so well done. I’d love to see close ups on some of the other models as well as an Icarax model sometime just to round out the group,
This left me breathless. The amount of character shown even without the use of dialogue is incredible. It's ALWAYS a blessing to have more great content by you. Thank you so much for your hard work and contributions to this fandom. You keep our dreams alive, friend.
Am I the only one liking the concept of Makuta being a separate species? They are all so badass and set such an amazing mood for the ”final battle”. I mean they are literally like demigods (or more fittingly - fallen archangels) of the Bionicle world
The concept is fine, it's the execution I didn't like because I though having so many Makuta, most of whom got nerfed to give the heroes a fighting chance, lessened their impact. I'd rather have had a small number of Makuta as larger sets with more "dignified" characterizations, and the evil Phantoka and Mistika could have been special servants.
I got goosebumps from how cool that shape-shifting sequence was. The wordless characterization of Chirox and Mutran's rivalry was fantastic too. Everything about this is just so well done :D
it's bloody wich craft how you can make them so expressive and talkative in spite of the barely humanoid faces and the complete absence of voices what so ever! and still, I can tell what their feeling, the gist of what they are saying and even get a small idea of their personalities! HOLY SHIT WHAT DEALS WITH THE DEVIL HAVE YOU MADE!? HOW MANY LIVES HAVE YOU SACRIFICED!? TO. GET. THIS. GODS, DAMNED. GOOD!?!?! (Seriously there has to be some black magic to make this, The models, The animation, it's so bloody amazing.) I've seen professional products that are nowhere near the quality of your stuff. It should be a Fucking Crime to be as underrated as you are when you're this GOOD!!! you are so god damn amazing that whenever I get a notification from you I'm reminded that life ain't so shit after all.
Dude. So good. Genuinely funny parts while at the aame time showcasing their menacing nature. They all seem very prideful, which might be stereotypical for villains, but if you remember who and what they are meant to be it makes sense. I used to think that Chirox was just the "black" color set, but in this he is so much more, a villain and a rival, not lesser than Mutron despite Muteon being a titan set. Love it all.
1:18 I love how when they all fly by, Krika just jumps and seems to be rapidly descending compared to the rest since he is the only one with no flight capability. 😂
I like how Antroz just comes up behind Mutran and Chirox as if to say, "Oi, you two done goofing around?" And then the rest of the Karda Nui Makuta just fly past (or, in Krika's case, he's bouncing from floating-island to floating-island)
I always imagined a movie for 2008 would have Mutran dictating a report to Vican for Teridax where he exposits the progress of the Karda Nui campaign and then moves on to the scientific potential of the mutagenic swamp water, saying the random mutations it produces provides an unlimited amount of genetic material to work with, when in reality Mutran is eating half of the subjects. It goes wrong when he tries to examine the Klakk, and he orders Vican to take it outside and kill it.
The best part about this whole video is the fact that not one word is spoken, yet we understand everything the Makuta do. An outstanding demonstration of "Show don't tell." Phenomenal!
I don't even know what to say, Thank you for existing man. This is amazing and you've been an inspiration for YEARS now. Congrats dude!! So glad to see they gave you that silver play button!! The animation is absolutely stunning, what a lovely tribute to that year of Bionicle.
You should feel insanely proud of yourself, this is amazing to look at. I feel this quality exceeds the original 3 in terms of looks, with it only being edged out by TLR in sake of piece accuracy. I love the small touched like Chirox having his talons together until he goes to take flight. Without dialogue, they show so much personality and emotion, it's amazing. I can't wait to see you do more!
Every time I watch this animation I find another cool detail. From Mutran using his mask to silence the creature, the slight differences between Mutran and Chirox's masks... those are the main ones I noticed.
Aw man! You can absolutely feel Mutran's character here! Love the classic Chirox rivalry. "Not Very.... Subtle, is it?" This was just charming, funny, and excellent. Also love the quick not-too-close look at Best Makuta McBugface. I don't know if you plan to do the Gali scene ever, but Krika's one of my favourite characters to ever be 90% implied.
This is honestly has such a Bionicle movie vibes, that it's just so unreal. My own criticism would be the vial Mutran uses. Not a big thing, just a minor detail suggestion. Perhaps using a canister like.the the one the Toa Mata used, but smaller with a little window that shows the liquid. It's a small detail, bit it would definitely add some really nice polish to the whole thing. Other than that though, this is just so beautifully animated. How despite no words, there's a lot of character being shown, and honestly man, fantastic work.
I officially grant you permission to be in charge of a film about 2008 bionicle that is considered canon. This honestly This honestly looks like an official movie, style and quality I love it!
Congrats on your 100K subs! Your animation skills have been improving so much, there is so much life and character communicated non-verbally in all of the characters. Incredible job! I'd love to know more about your animation process as well as music and sound
This was amazing! The characterization is spot on, and the way they move feels exactly how they would in canon, right down to the use of their mask powers (such as Krika and Mutran). And it looks gorgeous! That part with light framing them from the front in particular looks beautifully done!
Congratulations on the 100k subs, may you have many more in the future ... At the end of the animation he should have said: "This is how BIONICLE Mistika and Phantoka starts".
This is just me but when i watch the part at 2:00 i can't help but imagine him saying something along the lines of "One small final step for the plan... and one giant leap for makuta-kind!" in the magnificently maniacal voice of Tim Curry.
Having recently gotten Mutran, I can confirm that his wings are that unimpressive. Also great Animation, it's interesting to see the rahi creation/mutation process on screen.
I love the subtle reference of Chirox makes the Rahi "bigger and with more teeth". That's really nice reference to the novels! Everything else about this is fantastic
If I had a critique to make it's that Gorast, Bitil, and Krika's buglike appearances were from the pit mutagen down in the swamp, and in theory they probably looked more along the lines of the Phantoka Makuta beforehand. That said, I understand not wanting to make completely new character models, especially when we don't actually have a canonical basis for their pre-mutation designs. That aside, this is absolutely incredible. I love the little back-and-forth between Chirox and Mutran that characterizes them perfectly without any dialogue, and the long shot of all the others flying past feels incredibly cinematic and menacing. The little joke about Mutran's tiny little wings was a nice bit to end on. Brilliant work as always, and I can't wait to see what this is all leading up to!
The Pit Mutagen can’t affect Makuta the same way it does other beings. The Makuta aren’t biomechanical, they’re Antidermis gas within shells. The Makuta Mistika assumed their insectoid forms to adapt to the Swamp, the Mutagen only locked their bodies in those forms, likely by bonding their Antidermis to it permanently. The only real physical mutation was Gorast, whose stinger became functional & necessary to her survival. But aside from that minor alteration, the three of them weren’t physically mutated into alternate forms. So this animation is entirely accurate.
This is incredible! That shot where they all fly off in the distance in particular was just badass! I get major Miramax movie vibes from this. I was always sad this storyline never had a dedicated movie.
Omg! This is amazing! The way you animated Antroz's wings makes him look so dope. Everyone in this very well animated. I also love the detail of showing Krika's mask glow, indecating its mask power being activated.
Amazing job! One of the best animations I have ever seen! What do you acctually use for animations? I'm just asking because I want to make animations like this in the future too! (Sorry for my grammar I'm German!)
omg! this gives off the goosebumps! look forward to the next animation! hope its going to be the toa's arrival and congrats on 100k subs! really liked how you used the happy lekoro theme song at the end
The QUALITY in here is just amazing. I am impressed to see the detail of the eyes! If Lego ever wants to come back to classic Bionicles to make a movie/series, they should hire you.
Absolutely love this, their personalities come through really well despite not talking. The animation is so slick too, only criticism I have is that Krika, Gorast and Bitil didn't look like that when they arrived in Karda Nui. They only look like that after the swamp mutates them I believe. Other than that, loved the whole thing.
Incorrect actually, though a common misconception. The Swamp didn’t mutate the Makuta’s actual bodies themselves, since Makuta are simply Antidermis within mechanical shells. Rather, the Mistika Makuta assumed insectoid forms to adapt to the terrain, but ended up locked in these forms when the Pit Mutagen disabled some of their Kraata powers.
It's a small world indeed, who would have thought that you would be the same person that edited that creep in my soul sea monster video. I glade I saw this channel again. Bravo, a thousand times.

He's actually 12 animators in a very large coat.
If you gave him money and time he could probably beat Pixar’s animation
This should be given a Oscar.
This is legen.... Wait for it
DARY!!
May I ask where your profile picture is from? I've seen it in an Eltorro64rus video.
The way Chirox's chest spikes and other bits transform when he spreads his wings is such an interesting and subtle detail.
Mutrans method is: “how can I I make this creature better at doing its thing?”
While chirox is trying to make said creature “better” by turning it into a killing machine
This was absolutely incredible
I especially loved Chirox's transition from his "default" form to his Phantoka form. That seamless shapeshifting is exactly how I imagined a Makuta to look when they change their appearance.
Once again, well done!
0:33 you can see Antroz flying in the background
Story here is that Mutran ,with his shadow matoran, and Chirox are waiting for their brethren to arrive. So they pass the time by experimenting their viruses on tiny Rahi. Once they see their brethren, they start to fly away to catch up. After Chirox left, Mutran wants his Shadown matoran to get the rahi that was recently mutated.
Oh, thanks!
Tbh I had no idea why Vican just yeeted himself down the pit.
Just a little more, and he'd have a full film in his channel split into pieces
This was so clean and well-designed! The personalities were clear through non-verbals alone, which is impressive on your part as an animator.
Seriously, the scene of the Makuta flying is glorious! I love how much you've improved since Roodaka in a Bar
Love Mutran's body language, really captures his character
For some reason Makuta Krika's jump at 1:18 makes me scared, like they’re such a grotesque makuta, and the way they leap is almost.. Unsettling.. And that’s EXACTLY why I love it
I love the attention to detail here. From how you portrayed the personalities of the Makuta in the first scene (Chirox wants to squash a bug, Mutran stops him to he can experiment on it), to how Krika doesn't fly but rather "jumps" using his mask power. Those little details I just love.
Also, they wings.
The taking off and flying animations were GORGEOUS
Poor Krika has to jump
I love that you showed the masks glowing when used. Such an amazing animation short!

I love how Krika moves in this, i always imagined he'd fly sort of like the rakshie but this looks a lot better
He's falling with style.
I like how you gave Bitil layered wings, changing the 'Bitil wing' pieces to a shell.
Just like a beetle.
For the longest time I thought bitil was a bee I didn't know that he was a beetle
The way it all moves is fantastic! It’s fluent and has that look to it that really makes you nostalgic for the old movies
Excellent work, can’t wait to see more!
Even if your Bionicle videos aren't the most popular, they're the ones that made me subscribe in the first place. Your animations are great.
So, we’re all agreeing that 1:13-1:22 is the best shot of the video, yeah?
Totally, it's really kino.
A huge congratulations! 100k is well deserved, and your animations are fantastic. It's always a better day when you publish one. Thank you so much!
Hey Eljay should I get 2008 sets?
@@imbored394 Sure, there are quite a few good ones.
Eljay Johnsen ok I might have to get the smaller sets first because I am running low on money. The 2008 sets do look amazing so yeah definitely gonna spend my money on the 2008 sets.
Thanks for the compliments and for your support!
Saw this on Reddit and as soon as I clicked the link, I knew it was you Vrahno.
Holy hell, this is absolutely bloody fantastic. I'm at a loss for words. This is truly incredible work. Mindblowing. You need to form your own production studio man. This kind of stuff will create a long life for you. Well deserved 100,000 subscribers. Keep it up.
EDIT: This makes me want to buy Mutran now. Should have gotten him when I had the chance back in 2008!
Good idea, I already ordered Vamprah and Bitil. The only problems are the brittle 2008 joints tho.
But I'll be using them for MOCs anyway so it doesn't matter for me, I can simply use other joints...
I was able to get Chirox not too long ago.
Hello TheShadowedOne or should i said A Dark Hunter that has a tail as his third leg.
@@greatmiru2064 Curse you Teridax! And that's a stigma! It's a third leg! Not a tail! LOL.
@@TheShadowedOne1 YOU thought you are second to no one? YOU you second to ME!
Unrelated, but I _just_ realized now that until the last leg of the story, BIONICLE was basically “Osmosis Jones” as a science fantasy epic.
THAT WAS SICK!!! I’m bummed we never got any stuff like this back in the day from Lego.
Giving each of the Makuta so much personnality without having them speak is a really nice touch. Kudos to you! ;)
Holy crap this is incredible! Just the way each Makuta flies is so well done. I’d love to see close ups on some of the other models as well as an Icarax model sometime just to round out the group,
Congratulations man. Alot of character and emotion conveyed in this short clip, absolutely fantastic
This left me breathless. The amount of character shown even without the use of dialogue is incredible. It's ALWAYS a blessing to have more great content by you. Thank you so much for your hard work and contributions to this fandom. You keep our dreams alive, friend.
The Brotherhood being like: "I'll show *you* a breakthrough of genetic modification!"
That's a cool interpretation on the Makuta ability of creating (or in this case altering) rahi!
it's bloody wich craft how you can make them so expressive and talkative
in spite of the barely humanoid faces and the complete absence of voices what so ever!
and still, I can tell what their feeling, the gist of what they are saying and even get a small idea of their personalities!
HOLY SHIT WHAT DEALS WITH THE DEVIL HAVE YOU MADE!?
HOW MANY LIVES HAVE YOU SACRIFICED!?
TO. GET. THIS. GODS, DAMNED. GOOD!?!?!
(Seriously there has to be some black magic to make this, The models, The animation, it's so bloody amazing.)
I've seen professional products that are nowhere near the quality of your stuff.
It should be a Fucking Crime to be as underrated as you are when you're this GOOD!!!
you are so god damn amazing that whenever I get a notification from you
I'm reminded that life ain't so shit after all.
Dude.
I love this interpretaiton of how Krika "flies." Really gives him a sense of strength and power!
These were some of my favorite bionicles from my early childhood! So cool to see them here and animated so well!!!
1:18 I love how when they all fly by, Krika just jumps and seems to be rapidly descending compared to the rest since he is the only one with no flight capability. 😂
You did a really good job of making them imposing and threatening.
I like how Antroz just comes up behind Mutran and Chirox as if to say, "Oi, you two done goofing around?" And then the rest of the Karda Nui Makuta just fly past (or, in Krika's case, he's bouncing from floating-island to floating-island)
In-fucking-credible! You are one of my main inspirations for learning Blender, so that I can make CGI BIONICLE movies too!
It goes wrong when he tries to examine the Klakk, and he orders Vican to take it outside and kill it.
love the interaction with the little rahi at the beginning. despite how far they've fallen, they're still creators at heart.
The best part about this whole video is the fact that not one word is spoken, yet we understand everything the Makuta do. An outstanding demonstration of "Show don't tell." Phenomenal!
I love how they're comparing their mutations on the rahi as if they were MOCs xd
What are MOCs, please?
@@Javert2012 My Own Creation. When you create something new with LEGO
I don't even know what to say, Thank you for existing man. This is amazing and you've been an inspiration for YEARS now. Like everybody is saying, the animation is amazing, the shot of everyone flying away the way it's edited, the camera moves, the look, everything looks like a shot from a Miramax movie this is crazy. I don't have enough words to describe how amazing this is, congrats on the 100K and I hope you keep doing BIONICLE stuff !
Kudos for making lots of stuff from 2008, definitely not my final year but it's a breath of fresh air from all the 2006 and especially 2001-2003 stuff
That was STELLAR! You are truly the master of your craft, I love watching your work because it’s full of such emotion and atmosphere. It’s impossible not to get sucked into each world you showcase. Congrats and keep up the amazing work!
Congrats for hitting 100k subscribers Vrahno, what a milestone. And this animation and models just scream Bionicle, fantastic job
Congrats dude!! So glad to see they gave you that silver play button!! The animation is absolutely stunning, what a lovely tribute to that year of Bionicle.
Cool, I've always liked Mutran, so to see him get the spotlight was nice
Congrats on 100K subs. The cinematography is amazing and I'm glad you got the silver creator award.
Other makutas: Flyes gentley off.
Krika: Y E E T!
At the end of the animation he should have said: "This is how BIONICLE Mistika and Phantoka starts".
omg I love how Krika just jumps through the floating pieces of earth
This is just me but when i watch the part at 2:00 i can't help but imagine him saying something along the lines of "One small final step for the plan... and one giant leap for makuta-kind!" in the magnificently maniacal voice of Tim Curry.
this is so amazing and oldschool i think u made me back to bionicle!
Everyone: fly
Krika: boing
Wow! I love how much personality each character oozes without any dialogue.
I always thought the pit mutagen form-locked them as well as taking away some of their powers, not that it literally mutated them into bugs
First and nice job dude this is awesome and it’s boinice so I instantly like it a little bit more
Omg! This is amazing! The way you animated Antroz's wings makes him look so dope. Everyone in this very well animated.
I also love the detail of showing Krika's mask glow, indecating its mask power being activated.
Final thoughts: 1:10 = best scene. Very imposing and threatening, like all makuta are.
Meeeeeeeeaaan ! If you continue animating fragments of bionicle storie , you will make an entire film (in several years XD)
Absolutely fantastic, as always! Thank you for this!
POST MORE EVEN THO I KNOW ANIMATIONS TAKE MONTHS OR YEARS
I love the focus on Mutran and Chirox! They’re my favorite characters from 08
Honestly a bit surprised that it was Mutran who held back when mutating that rahi. Also, Vican is adorable.
If this had voice acting I could honestly mistake this for a movie that was never released. What a fantastic job.
Amazing job! One of the best animations I have ever seen!
What do you acctually use for animations? I'm just asking because I want to make animations like this in the future too!
(Sorry for my grammar I'm German!)
I think he mentioned at one point he makes them in blender. Kind of a pain to actually learn how to use it though.
I animate in Blender, but I still use an older version. I hear that the latest release, Blender 2.8 is much simpler to learn how to use.
yay congrats on 100k subs these animations are so good great job
ik right
I really like how you changed Chirox’s mask so that his and Mutran’s aren’t the same like the sets. That always bothered me to some degree
omg! this gives off the goosebumps! look forward to the next animation! hope its going to be the toa's arrival and congrats on 100k subs! really liked how you used the happy lekoro theme song at the end

PLS MAKE BIONICLE 5 MOVIE!!!
