Worked for me. Thanks! Be sure to go into phone settings and select the "Action Cam" in WiFi settings. I had to reconnect each time since my phone was connecting back to my local WiFi.

Action cam WiFi won’t come up for my phone ?.. only my house network?
Question do you know if they allow you to record when it's sideways I mean widescreen mode? I bought another action camera that will not allow me to record widescreen-mode on my phone. Again this is when you are recording from your phone through Wi-Fi.
When you rotate your smartphone the video goes full screen and gives you three easy buttons to record video, take a picture, or do slow motion video. WiFi isn't very fast so when you're doing 4k it will buffer a lot especially if you're not right next to the phone.
I appreciate your quick response I had EKEN H9R action camera and it gave me fits when recording on full-screen mode. It's for a night vision setup replacing the lens with one without an IR filter using an IR flashlight. Everything was working correctly except that it would not let me record when viewing full-screen mode. Another issue is I could not use any other software as far as phone app with it only the one in the manual ask for. Another question I have is does it pick up enough light at night? And can it use other software/app for phone Wi-Fi connection ? for Now I use IOS phone and android tablet.
It doesn't seem to work too well in the dark. I don't know of it works with other apps.

I can't get the audio to come through when recording through xdv but the audio works when recording using just the camera. Any idea how to get the audio to work when recording through xdv?? Thank you!
Theoretically it should record the audio but it just won't come thru the app. Check the setting to make sure the app is telling the camera to record audio. It's been a while since I used it so I don't recall the details of the app
@@beefywheel1 Thanks for the quick reply! I had the issue on an iPhone 7s due to some connection issue within settings, but it now works on my preferred device, pixel 2 after disabling wifi mode so I'm good to go now! Thanks again! :)

Have you figured out how to get the media off the Action Cam and on to your computer? Help!!!
You can connect to the app and download but to takes forever. You can connect the camera directly to your computer and download very fast. You can connect the camera to your phone with the proper cable and download. Or you can take out the SD card and insert into computer or phone and download that way. That's my preferred method is directly off SD Card.
@@beefywheel1 Thanks Matthew, I tried the SD card on my Mac and says it's not compatible. I have downloaded all media using the app and can see the info but want to get it off the phone and onto my machine, therein lies my dilemma. Been scratching my head on that one. I can share media but only ONE at a time. Nevertheless, thanks for your advice. I will continue to try different things.
Sorry can't help with Mac. You could try uploading to the cloud then download to your Mac.
There's an option for it
either plug in the usb charger into the camera then into the pc and then your pc should recognise it but if that dosent work than take out the sd card put it into your pc but if you dont have a micro sd card slot but an sd card slot then you can get an adapter for it and hopefully it works

Keeps saying TF insufficient... Formatted in camera, still get the error. Attempting to connect to computer using USB, cannot find device.

What I noticed is that you have to open the app on your phone, then power up the camera and go to wifi.
Yep exactly. Connect to Wifi first then you can connect the camera to the app
Really? It seemed like it was backwards. It seemed like he needed to have the Wi-Fi going off of the camera, and then he had to open the app and then it was scanned and searched and then find it. It looked like when he did it the other way around it didn't find the action cam SSID. Did you notice how he had to go out of the app and then back in again because there was no scan function?
I don't get this thing it keeps saying wifi connection overtime..it is saying IAM connected to action cam but no internet...idk
My Pixel 2 XL doesn't like connecting to the action camera as long as Mobile Data is enabled. If you disable mobile data, then it should connect via wifi. Smartphones being too smart.

Yes you can plus it in using typical micro USB, same cable as most older smartphones.
It could work for vlogging, the audio isn't great so you might want to record audio separately.

Turn on Wifi on cam, connect your android, open app, connect to camera
Works for you great, I get wifi connection overtime comment.

try restarting the app and turning the camera off and back of again but if thta still dosent work restart your phone and take out the camera battery hope this helps
