Hey evan, so I have good news for you! Since people wreck ISes all the time, they do the same with SC300's too. So, if you get an SC300 sump/galley, you'll be all good to go. Both supra, soarer, and SC300 are all rear sump JZ cars

The 7M-GE's are much more reliable than the 7M-GTE's and had much less issues with the headgaskets. Probably only due to not being boosted. Also, glad you came to your senses and bought a MK3. Welcome to the family.

To find parts, check toyota. They started making parts for A70 Supras again. And the 7M isnt a bad motor. Just retorque the heads and get ARP bolts and its fine. Good luck with yours man. I get back to the states hopefully i start my content of the 7m rebuild.

The oil gauges in these cars have a shitty response time. . I thought I had an issue til I held it at a certain RPM and the gauge slower but surely started to climb . Everyone I know with these cars has the same issue . Regardless a JZ swap is a great idea . I’ll let you figure all the headaches out before I swap mine 😁

Evan shank has the best channel to watch , different varieties of build cars to watch. Unlike other "popular" car channels they only focus on Nissan cars or just one particular car brand and after a while it gets boring and old...💯💯💯

I'm so excited I love 2jz's as well. I have to say though that u love is300's. I would rather have a built 2jz in one of those then a Supra. I have owned one for a couple of years now but unfortunately I keep running out money when trying to build it and prices keep going up. But I did by it as a memorial to my nephew so I can't give up on it.

Can actually build up 7M-GTE’s pretty well now. More parts for JZ’s of course but shocking solid support for the 7M’s now.
After i do my 2j swap on my mk3, i plan to reuse the 7m and build it. I've always loved the deep sound they make.
@@doomkid02 tbh if my 7M-GTE ever goes I’ll probably rebuild it and swap an R154 transmission in place of my current W58 and see how much power I can make with a built 7M.

One thing you forgot to mention is the vvti ge head is the best flowing jz head there is, so with a stock jz bottom end, it would make a bit more power than a standard jz! Also Honestly, once you did a head gasket and studs(torqued properly) 7m’s are quite stout. Like 500-600 stock bottom end, so damn near as strong as the 2j. They do sound pretty sick too. And they’re still cheap af🤫
Tractor Supply sells bolts by weight, just fill the bag and it's way cheaper than the expensive individual ones

@Evan Shanks I've got a 2000 sc300 which is rear sump, that has the 2j. The motor itself needs some work ie: water pump and a couple connectors.
After the wheel reveal, I was hoping for some Sea Shanty 2.

Ya know, I was thinking that Evan use the GE from his Mk4 to put in the Mk3 when it comes time for the Mk4 to get that GTE swap
Same in reality that would be better because he can push out 2 types of content and since we all wanted the mk4 to have that motor he has taking up space in the pole barn why not use it finally and not blown a motor and just swap saves money.
That and the MK4 motor has the better non-vvti rods as the GE vvti can't take much more then 350hp reliability
i don't have any ideas for comments but i shall let you know you have the best content i have seen so far on youtube.
