Good info. Do you think if you had covered the cracked area with sand after you caulked, it would of camouflage the crack a bit.

Great question, I actually tried that on a few of the cracks. It looked great for awhile but the next time I pressure washed the sand washed off. So perhaps if there was a way to imbed the sand better, or a better color for the sealer. But sand on top seemed to be just a temporary improvement.

Thank you for your video. How did this second sealer do after a heavy rain?

So far it seems very good, no splitting from the side and color seems to be blending in we’ll enough, but of course still a visible crack repaired. Also no settling after it hardened (about an hour).

I have the DAP 3.0 for a crack in a concrete that's under a covered car port. It doesn't get any direct rain other than some blow in. Not even enough to puddle up. Do you think the 3.0 will work for this?

Yes, and after almost a year I’m still happy with the way the self-leveling filled to a smooth top. I have had a few short sections come loose, but it was an easy, cut out loose section and refill. Good luck!

Hello. Can you please tell me what blade you used on your grinder to cut the concrete? Link? Also, do you still like this DAP product? I think SIKA is very good product too, maybe better/best?
I learned a trick to hide the ugly looking caulk lines. After you apply the caulk, whichever brand, after a few minutes or so, you get some dry, fine sand and sprinkle it all over the caulk. Wait a little then blow (leaf blower) off sand. The next day, you can do a hard sweep on it to remove rest of sand. The caulk permanently and amazingly grips/holds the sand on it when it sets, and it really blends well with older concrete. It’s much less visible and looks good. Looks 1000% better than plain caulk, AND a bonus…provides grip/traction (from the sand). One more thing, if your crack is DEEP, then full with “backer rod” or just plain sand, then caulk. It will save you money by using much less caulk. Thanks.

Mike I was using a DeWalt type 27 wheel. I don’t have better markings to share, it says “for concrete masonry grinding” on the label. A very fine print N427360 if that means anything. I just grabbed it off the shelf at Home Depot some many months back. It does seem to work ok.
Yes, I am still happy with this DAP and the SIKA. As long as it’s self leveling.
I have had some peel and come loose at the ends, but I just did a reapply for that section.
I tried sand, it looked the wrong color so for me that wasn’t an improvement. But it came out anyway after a month of rains and traffic so didn’t matter. I do wish it was a darker shade.
