    Super glues and epoxies from Bob Smith Industries are first rate. They have super thin, gap filling, extra thick and even low fuming types.
    These are often found, rebranded in hardware and hobby stores. Locally, I buy the Farr's super glue... . It's obviously Bob Smith Industries.
    Great info as always.

      @@FloorsbySouthernboys I'd love to see more tips on how you make and cut the miters and return pieces on the open stair treads themselves

    Thank you for the video. As for the miter saw cut capacity for taller plank, couldn't you just do bevel cut instead with the plank laid flat, or is there a reason you would only do miter cut?

    Hey man how has it been . Do you recommend putting glue down commercial carpet over lvt. If so is there a specific kind of glue to use?

    • @FloorsbySouthernboys
      @FloorsbySouthernboys  2 года назад +1

      No I would recommend that but if it is glue down LVT and you don’t want to remove it you will be OK doing so, a person is always best to get down to the bare floor when installing anything new, but if you choose to a regular carpet adhesive will work just let it flash before you put the carpet into the glue, meaning let the glue get a really thin dry skin on top of it then place the carpet in it

    Great video. Can you also teach to finish the end of the tread (on the open side stair)? In the sample stair you are using, I see you have a quarter round that goes around but then I see the tread piece is not flash with the quarter round.

    So how much would you charge per step if I were to take this method

    • @FloorsbySouthernboys
      @FloorsbySouthernboys  3 месяца назад +1

      $200 per step. If the riser needs to be built out, it would be 225 per step.

      If they’re meeting evenly you definitely want to go with the flat T strip, you can glue it, shoot it, or use the piece they send with it but I tend to just glue and shoot it. If they aren’t meeting evenly you want a reducer.
