As someone with a lot of early SPORT mags, it's hard to believe that Musial got a 9.8, they're just so condition sensitive. That Musial is gorgeous and he was SUCH a class act. Had he played in NY he'd be a household name.
Any subscription in good condition pre 1993 is rare and valuable and it’s the only way to take our hobby to the next level - I know most agree and thanks for reading
As God is my witness, I sold a flawless copy of that Koufax issue back around 2003. I remember looking at it, hating to give it up only cuz it was perfect and a pretty cover , but I just wasn't into the nat'l league or pitchers. I'll always wonder if that copy was mine at one time.
That #1 is not anti-climactic. Owning something no one else will ever own is priceless. I get people want the 1st Jordan or Lebron but give me the unique piece every time. I think as time goes on, collectors will want that 1/1 slab just like sports cards and not necessarily the more common slab. Keep up the good work. Love your videos.
