- Continental Express Embraer E-145 departing Detroit Metro Airport when is was swarming with NWA red tails - Clip includes engine start-up, taxi and a dusk takeoff from 21R. This flight was delayed over 3 hours due to high winds at EWR
FYI - Continental will be moving to the North Terminal later this month
This is a cool video. I love the engine start-ups which occur after pushback. Great turbine sounds along with the magnificent takeoff, which is always the best part of any flight for me!
I love Northwest Airlines. They were the best. Great view of the other aircraft and the best was the takeoff
Wow, so great to see all those red tails on taxi! gotta love the engine sounds
all those NW planes! Its like looking into a totally different world. Those were such peaceful time! :'(
This is an excellent video! I like the view of all of the planes in the background whether taxiing around or parked at the terminal buildings. I also like the view of all the runway lights and the general dusk scene. That shot right before the video ended above the clouds was even more awesome! I should add that the takeoff itself was awesome. Great job!
Wow, look at all the bowling shoed colored Northwest old paint. I miss Northwest, I want it back. Grew up with Northwest Orient. I miss it so much. Northwest was Aviation's heart I think. Too good of an Airline to be brought down :(
Continental and Northwest in one video! So sad to see those two airlines gone
Awesome video !
WOW!! Awesome Video. SUper Good Quality>
@smlessnau this was in the evening, about 7:30... we were delayed 4 hours bc of winds at EWR

WOW great video, airports in the USA are very big.
Awesome seeing a KLM 747 parked at DTW
@keeganjordan Thank you :)
nice vid!! the plane looks beat up though.....
You didnt have any problems recording did you? and nice video by the way :D
I miss NWA but why did continental leave from the mcNamara terminal?
erj's V1 speeds are so high, they gotta speed up so fast before they start to rotate
Why fly anything other than Delta (at the time NWA) out of Detroit? (; unless of course, you're part of their allegiant team.
Look at all those delta planes.... lol
