This guy's method definitely worked for me but you need the specific update he has in the description abs use it to trick the latest app into bypassing the paywall. Use the latest version up until it asks for payment, then delete the app and sideload the older version he has in the description, that will bypass the paywall and transfer the data

This guy is a GENIUS. I couldn't find even a single solution which was free but this one's got to be it.
First 3 times, I failed. Hence, I'm gonna share some tips with the help of which you guys would be able to do it at one go:
1. Battery of both phones must be charged to 100%. This would eliminate the risk of phones dying midway during transfer.
USB Debugging MUST be ON in the android device and 'Find My IPhone' and 'Passcode' set to OFF in the IPhone.
2. Download the app ONLY from the link given in the description.
3. Don't add/ verify the number on the IPhone until the parsing is done.
4. Add the number to your IPhone and verify it when the app asks you i.e. just after parsing completes and before the transfer.
DON'T DO ANYTHING FURTHER. Neither SKIP nor RESTORE the data on the IPhone. Just EXIT the app after the number has been verified.
5. Start the transfer and wait PATIENTLY because it gets stuck at various points like 50% and 80%.
6. Wait until the IPhone reboots and then allow whatsapp the permission to access contacts and you're good to go.
*Tip #4 is the most important.
**I deleted useless videos and photos from whatsapp to decrease the backup size. (Don't know if this actually works but nonetheless I did it)

IMPORTANT NOTE:
It worked so perfectly on the second attempt. Things to be careful about:
1. Make sure both phones are 100% charged. VVV Important as battery may drain out in the middle of transfer.
2. Don’t add your number on the iPhone before data transfer. Follow the video EXACTLY.
3. Be patient if you have large data. Took 45 minutes for me. It looked like it got stuck at 5% then at 20%, then at 80% and so on but just be patient.
4. Be sure to download the older version of the wustapper app from the link in the video description. Other wise you can only download / transfer 50 messages for free. NO NEED TO PAY FOR THE APP.
That’s it. Happy transferring and huge thanks to the channel for support.

This technique is a lifesaver. I don't know why people are not aware of this. Sometimes somewhere u will get some error during the process but if u really want your bach up transferred then follow them and do not give up, it works like magic and better those paid app promotional videos, which do not work also.

Hello, I had to take a minute to thank you SO MUCH for this vidéo! You litteraly saved my life (an my WhatsApp history). I got discouraged at first as it failed the first time as my Android was lacking storage space. But once, after freeing some space if works perfectly!
