Beautiful girls! What a love gift to your daughters. Sewing has become a lost art. My mother owned a fabric store for 40 years and taught me how to sew. Then for 36 years I taught boys and girls how to sew as a high school home economics teacher. Now, retired, I machine embroider , quilt, create gifts, and make all kinds of things for the home. Your example will encourage your girls to learn to sew and then maybe they willpass that on to their own children. Your videos are inspiring and sweet to watch. Thank you for sharing!
As I approach the age of 80 you remind me of my mom who made clothes for her 3 sons on a treadle (foot powered) singer sewing machine. She also made each of us a quilt using a frame hung from the ceiling in the den. She made a lasting impression on everyone she met and I ended up with the machine because, to me, it represented the love she had for her sons and contained her spirit. She was raised in the mountains of north Georgia with 7 siblings. She would have made a good Amish mother.
I have sewed for over 50 years. We had 3 daughters. So fun to make their dresses through the years. You are a beautiful sewer! Fitting is an art in itself. The dresses fit well. 3 dresses in 10 hours = good sewer🙂
Wonderful! My girls and I wear dresses all the time. We sew our own, and we sew lots of the younger boys’ shirts. It’s fulfilling to sew for my family. You and your girls are so sweet!
You are so right about the fulfilling part. When my three children were young I made all of their clothes, and loved doing it. My daughter now makes clothes for herself.
So nice! Reminds me of my mom sewing for us. She did such a good job. Her dresses always fit her better than a store bought dress. I don't remember her having more than 1 store bought dress between 1960 and maybe 1974. She made a patchwork quilt out of the scraps. It is one of my favorite treasures. God called her home at age 92 last January. 🇨🇦
Loved the dresses! I think they turned out wonderfully....and what fun it was to wear them! Your daughters are so sweet and you are a great Mom! We look forward to your videos. God bless everyone!!
The dresses are all adorable! Sewing is a lost art. My mom taught me to sew 55 years ago, and I am so glad she did! I am still using the same sewing machine I started with, and it has seen many dresses, curtains, slipcovers, and at least 100 costumes over the years. I hope you will share this art with your girls so that they can learn as well. So enjoy your videos!
Wow what a style show!!!!!!! Three beautiful dresses with three beautiful women wearing them!!!!!!!!!! Good job Priscilla!!!! The snaps look and worked great!!!
How sweet and I think the dresses look lovely. Very feminine and cute. l love each one of them. I love to sew and have done it since I was about ten years old. We visited our friends farm and their mother had a treadle machine that fascinated my sister and I and I have been sewing ever since. I have done weddings and church vestments and home décor for years but now I just do simple things or embroidery at my daughters shop and my own large embroidery multi needle machine. It is so relaxing and fulfilling. I enjoy it. At the moment I am making 26 flannel sets of pillowcases for all my children and grandchildren. It's simple fun and nice and snuggly warm for these winter months. I always look for a good sale and that makes it even more fun! LOL Thank you for sharing Priscilla and I love your dress with the belting around the center look. It is very becoming to you and the girls look just precious and are! Sweet sweet children. Great job and I love the selections of fabric you made. Keep sewing, it comes back easily and you have a knack for so many things.........I truly enjoy all your video's! I find them very calming and relaxing! Blessings to you and the family!
You did a wonderful job, Priscilla! They turned out gorgeous, as the three lovely ladies wearing them! I've been sewing for about 36 years now either for my siblings or for our 4 daughters. It's so hard to find modest dresses and skirts, and so I am always sewing for our girls. God bless!
You all look so beautiful in you new dresses! My Mother use to sew a lot for me. I did in school some and made a few things starting right before my Mom passed away. I was going to show her one dress but decided to wait till I got it finished. I lost her just days before and never got to show her. It was very comforting to me during that time afterward. I could just hear her telling me what to do.
Oh my goodness, what a beautiful wonderful faithful family. Your girls are beautiful just like their mama. Chloe is a star. Both are so beautiful. I love Avalon‘s name. And your sewing is absolutely incredible💜
I’ve been sewing for a very long time making my clothes and my daughter’s clothes. The dresses turn out beautiful!! Your daughters are precious!! God bless!!!!
Good job on the sewing the dresses, I know I sew and have been sewing for 60 years. The girls really appreciate how hard you work to make their pretty dresses, custom made for them. When i was a little girls we would go shopping for fabrics and then we would find styles we liked and my mother would take the fabric and a picture of the style of dresses we wanted and take them to a lady that would make our dresses. We loved our dresses because they were custom made for us end were so pretty. I made my god daughter her school uniforms 20 years ago because the store brought uniforms would fall apart after a few wearing. Some mother's would inquire about her uniforms all the time where to buy them. The uniforms were donated to the school after they didn't fit her anymore. So be proud of your self for making your girls special dresses, not everyone can sew or wants to learn to sew. 🤗😊👍👭💕
I remember when my mother used to sew my dresses for school. They had full skirts and puff sleeves, and they made me feel so special. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video and your adorable daughters. 🧵
Such pretty dresses! I am 62 and my mom made almost all of my clothes growing up. She even made all my formal dresses for school. I loved going to the fabric store and picking out patterns and material. My daughter was blessed with the dress making skills as well. She has made lots of dresses for my granddaughter. You are very talented!
Beautiful. You are all so lovely. Your dresses are perfect because you made them. Your daughters will cherish forever. Thank you for sharing your lives with all of us.
Priscilla, you did a beautiful job sewing those dresses!! I , myself love that you are teaching your daughters to be modest! It sure is a breath of fresh air to see such lovely dresses, and they are not showing everything. Modesty is beautiful in itself!
The dresses you made are so pretty.I think you did a great job on them and the girls seemed to love them and you could tell the were so proud of you making them a wonderful dress. Loved seeing you all dressed up together . Hope you all have a wonderful day .
Priscilla, you did an awesome job sewing the three pretty dresses. You probably won't find clothing in a store that is better made, and certainly not sewn with the love and attention you put into these outfits. Green is a gr8 color on all three of you. My very favorite part of the video is at the end when y'all dance around the room, twirling, smiling and obviously filled with joy.
The dresses looked so beautiful on all of you!! The girls seemed to love it and that's what is important. Your dress looked so elegant on you, Priscilla!! That is a great pattern for you, I think. Great job!! My mother was a wonderful seamstress and made my clothes even into adulthood and made so much of my two girls clothing when they were young. She was so talented!! She made both my and my sister's wedding dresses. She could also do just about anything!! A very hard worker. Loved seeing you three have fun together! Love and Blessing!!
You did a great job on the dresses. I just made my granddaughter a skirt. She was wanting a skirt for church that was below her knee and was having trouble finding one. I use to sew a lot but got away from it. You and your daughters are beautiful. Blessings from Ohio.
Thank you Priscilla for showing us those dresses! They turned out very nice. What a blessing to have such sweet girls to sew for. I used to do a lot of sewing when I was younger, but not so much in recent years. I did break out the sewing machine with the pandemic and have been making masks for the family. They are a necessary accessory these days. :)
Just so beautiful! Amazed at your talent. How do the Amish sew? Sewing machines also? Love all your videos and get so excited to see them pop up. Thank you. Your family is so gorgeous and the dresses are absolutely beautiful.
I used to sew with my mama. After raising seven boys well I didn’t have much time for sewing. But here I am at 57 fixing to sew my dresses. Modesty has always been important and with summer coming it’s the perfect timing. Thank you for the lovely video.
You are correct about solid colors. I think you can dress them up or dress them down. Make you accessories as fancy or as plain as you want. Your dresses are very well made. Very cute. The girlies are darling. 👍Good job
Your daughters are beautiful, just like you and so are those dresses!! I wish I had half the talent you have in thr sewing arena. I only dabble with sewing from time to time. Now you've inspired me to dust off my sewing machine and create something beautiful.
Your girls are so beautiful ❤️ and so are the dresses. You did a very good job Priscilla 👍.Your's look so perfect on you.😊.Thanks for sharing and may God continue to Bless you and your beautiful family.🥰❤️❤️❤️🙏
Thanks for sharing your sewing project. You did a great job! My grandma and my mom sewed alot of my clothes. I remember seeing them hammer those snaps on lots things.
That was one of the sweetest videos ever! The girls were proud to show off mamas hard work! Avalon is growing up to be a beautiful young lady, and Chloe definitely glows when she is the star😉.Reminds me of when I used to sew for my girls! Big hugs,MeMe from Mo!
this reminds me of my mother making me a dress from the lining of a coat. In the days when coats were long and the linings were like a heavy taffeta. The fabric was brown, the style was a half circle skirt and sleeves, trimmed with 'rick-rack' braid in bright yellow, above the hems of the skirt and sleeves. It was my favourite dress. The 'rick-rack' braid was not lace but like a firm ribbon in a rounded zig zag shape. Thank you for this lovely video, and the lovely memories, it was like yesterday and I'm 76 years next time around. God bless you and your family.
Oh you girls are so cute in your new dresses. We are always hardest on ourselves when we create something. The great thing is that you can make your girls dresses of good quality, unlike the thin material in so many garments today! Thank you for sharing with us your family and talent. Blessings to all.
They are absolutely lovely dont apologize ...I do love that you are encouraging young ladies to try even if you think you can't! A great teacher and a wonderful Mom!
You are truly blessed to have such a talent. I wish i could sew. Or even knew someone else who would sew and make dresses for me. Im a senior citizen. Priscilla you're a wonderful wife and mother.
So beautiful!! I made so many things for myself and my little ones. Your dresses are beautiful. I used those snaps back in the 70's. Excellent work you done to teach your daughters.
Love winter sewing! Haven't used the grommet snaps much for years! Used them for vest outfits i sewed when my boys were babies! Enjoyed the dress up! From the start when i first watched your channel I have enjoyed to hear you talking Priscilla...your voice and manner are very much like a cousin i always love to be with! God bless you with His direction as you mother your children!
I love you too!! You are all so precious! You look elegant and lovely in your special dresses!! I sew also and enjoy the creative and mental process. Keep your videos coming. I look forward to seeing you all in Montana. Love and prayers from the NewJersey shore!!❤️❤️🤗
Lovely! Great job, and I love your sweet spirit as always. Your channel really is a nice calm at the end of a day.. These are crazy times and you are just such a sweet bunch. I wish the world had a little more of your gentleness.
Thank You so Much for your video ! I used to make my Daughters and Grandaughters dresses, I was making all of my own clothes by the time I was 13. At 64 I had two surgeries for Cervical Spinal Stenosis. I have some severe problems with my fine motor skills now, I haven't tried to sew in three years and I miss it so much. Watching you inspired me to try again. You are a great seamstress and a real Joy ♥️♥️
Beautiful dresses! They are called grommet snaps and I love how they look... much nicer then a zipper. Thank you for sharing your are so talented. I stick to t-shirts and skirts.... can never got the bodice right. God Bless all of you!
I love all the dresses! I know you said they were simple but I think they turned out amazing! Great job Pricilla ❤ The girls were adorable showing off their dresses.
They look beautiful! Great job. I have seen all my life and have now inherited my mom's alteration business since her retirement. I love making items to wear, quilting, and alterations. You make me want to go sew now, lol.
You did a fine job, Priscilla! The Lord did not bless me with any girls...only little boys. But a good college friend of mine had 3 little girls and she was diagnosed with breast cancer and passed on the her eternal life with her Lord when her girls were 2, 8, and 10 years old. Her mother in law helped with her son and her grandchildren. I called her and got the girls measurements. I had the MOST fun sewing little dresses with eyelet pinafores, dresses, and little blouses and appliqued skirts. I made a total of 17 little outfits for them and mailed them. I tell you that I had SO much fun sewing them. I would be so excited designing all those outfits that I could hardly even sleep. so, I understand how much you enjoyed sewing those dresses and thank you "girls" for modeling them for us!!
Lovely! I really love to make modest dresses, too! I hope to have a daughter one day that I can sew for. But until then I enjoy sewing for my nieces, the daughters of my friends, and my sisters in law! God bless!
I really like you dresses. You are true artist. I really enjoy watching your videos. The love that flows between you and your husband is so beautiful. May God bless you always. Your children are adorable,
Wintertime is my sewing time. Before gardening. I wish I had more time for sewing. My mending pile gets big before I get to it nowdays. Raised my 4 children now schooling 2 grandchildren. Blessing to your family
I loved this video! Your colors and patterns are very nice. I sewed a lot for my 2 girls when they were very young. I had to laugh at your ironing board with the rip in the cover!!! Mine looks the same way!! You and your girls are beautiful, inside and out!
Beautiful dresses!! I too made my girls matching prairie dresses for pioneer days here when they were 9 and 4 and that was many years ago! I saved the dresses for future grands if the Lord wills...I wish I had a video tho! You are going to love watching all these videos when the children are grown!! How blessed and beautiful your family is!!
Oh, the dresses are so pretty! I would call those snaps...press studs. My late mother was a good seamstress and made most of my clothes as a young girl. It’s something I wish I had learned more from her. She was also a good cook and I certainly learned that from her.
I really like your hoop earrings, too! I've been looking for some about that size. My grandmother was a seamstress. She was 12 years old when her family immigrated to the U.S. from. England. She made all her dresses from variations of the same pattern. I remember her dress form to this day. Good memories. ❤
So nice to moms and daughters that take pride in modesty! Thank you Priscella for being such a great mom to your beautiful daughters!
Thank you Beverly!
So true.
I like to see rge girls wearing these kind of of dresses

My Mom sewed all her own clothes! She was very good at it. Thanks for bringing back good memories of her hours of sewing while I was young.
I think they turned out beautiful. Avalon looks just like her beautiful mother while chloe looks so much like her dad. Such a treat to watch.

That is so amazing and wonderful what you did for those little girls! I am sure it was one of the best presents they ever received!
Really nice! I enjoyed this very much. I used to sew and I need to get back into it. Thank you for the encouragement.
Your children are adorable,
You are an excellent seamstress. You and your daughters looked lovely in the dresses.
All the dresses are very beautiful Priscilla. You did a fantastic job 💕
Wintertime is my sewing time. Before gardening. I wish I had more time for sewing. My mending pile gets big before I get to it nowdays. Raised my 4 children now schooling 2 grandchildren. Blessing to your family
What lovely girls, and the dresses are beautiful.
The dresses are absolutely beautiful. I'm sure your girls loved the dresses.
Beautiful dresses! Love it!! It is good that you can sew!!
I loved this video! Your colors and patterns are very nice. I sewed a lot for my 2 girls when they were very young. I had to laugh at your ironing board with the rip in the cover!!! Mine looks the same way!! You and your girls are beautiful, inside and out!
The dresses are very pretty and some beautiful girls wearing them. Love 💕 this!
Beautiful dresses. The glass snaps are like Western style that I used to use on my son's shirts. I love your simple style dresses.
I really like your hoop earrings, too! I've been looking for some about that size. My grandmother was a seamstress. She was 12 years old when her family immigrated to the U.S. from. England. She made all her dresses from variations of the same pattern. I remember her dress form to this day. Good memories. ❤
