  • A women's centre in West Belfast is giving families longer term support services amid the cost of living crisis.
The team at Footprints Women's Centre support around 120 families per year, with around 60% of those being lone parents in receipt of benefits, 20% being seniors and, increasingly, 20% being working families.
The centre has been operating since 1991 and offers a range of wraparound services including support groups, advice, and training opportunities. In 2017, they set up a social supermarket in response to increasing food poverty, offering food in a supermarket setting at a much lower price than traditional supermarkets.
