Thanks for this video, I had removed Ram from my Desktop but couldn't install back coz I didn't know it needed that pressing 😂 Now it's up and running after a day of struggling
I successfully upgraded my HP PC from 4G to 16G RAM (from one card to two 8G cards). All went fine and PC starts and runs. Thanks for the concise and easy to follow instructions. I have a question though; the "Device specifications" part of settings shows: Installed RAM 16.0 GB (3.17 GB usable). This is the same as before the upgrade. Is this correct? Or, do I need to do somethinng else?
Hi, if you added new RAM please make sure you have it seated properly in, and they are installed in the correct configuration ( for motherboards with 4 lanes check with the motherboard manufacture). If the memory is our brand, please contact our Tech Support for more assistance: kings.tn/40uVCym
So many questions... someone told me the new ram has to be compatible with the 2 existing sticks, but how do you know... he also said it might need to be added in pairs, but wasn't sure...
Laptop and PC manufacturers often include standard low-capacity memory modules to reduce cost. Two options: Remove and replace these existing smaller capacity modules, or fill unoccupied memory slots. If you need to check what we have available for you please check our site here: kings.tn/49Jv8uZ
I put my new 16 gb ram stick in, and nothing happens. It powers up no problem, but there’s no signal. When I switch it for the old stick it boots up just fine? My garbage can is about to be running at 120 fps pretty quick here.
Please verify that the memory is seated properly and the BIOS is updated. If the memory you are installing is our Kingston memory, please reach out to our Tech Support here: kings.tn/3BXi4XO
I turned it on and everything sounded normal but I got a black screen. I previously had 2 8 gb sticks and I added 2 of the exact same 8 gb sticks and I don’t know what’s going on but I’m thinking faulty sticks. Anyone have ideas?

I figured it out. It was very simple. All I had to do was plug into the GPU directly not the motherboard 🤦♂️
Do things i had in pc delete or they are still in pc after i change ram?
No.
RAM has nothing to do with storage
Great video
