Thank you so much for making this video and providing part numbers and so on. I definitely need to do this on my '99 Tahoe. Just today I had to really step on the brakes to make it stop. Crazy thing is, it currently has Power Stop front rotors and pads. Again, thank you big time!
Wires by the booster look like they go into the factory harness for a 7 way trailer plug in the back. One is constant power one is brake signal for a brake controller
Ran into this comment on accident, have a 7 way I'm having problems with, no second battery In the truck, gonna need to get a second one I guess, where does the second battery get it'd power from?
I used an 04 Escalade Turbo boost master cylinder (Bore ID of 1.40") I found a 2002 truck Turbo boost with a 1.45" diameter but didn't try it. Seems like the Turbo boost has the large diameter piston. My truck had a weird vibration that felt like warped rotors, but new rotors didn't fix it. It's 90% better with the new master cyl. I'm going to bleed the ABS next, I didn't know there was a bleeder on the ABS, it's under a plastic cap on the top right.
The AGS BLF-26C adapter is not the Correct one, yes the thread conversion is correct but pay attention to detail, the male side is 3/16 inverted flare the female side is also 31/16 inverted flare bubble on the inside an is far to small to correctly mate to a 9/16-18 1/4 inverted flare line it will all screw together but the 1/4 line will not work on a 3/16" flare! I have done ton's of these swaps, an i just cut the flared end of the brake line off replace the fitting with a 1/2-20 fitting for 1/4" line an buy the inverted flare tool an do this job correctly!
Hey bro I’ve got a 97 truck, that I want to do this too. How do you like it now? Did it make a huge difference? The problem on my truck is the brake pedal is really high.....Thanks for taking the time to do this video for us!!!!!!!!!
Hi, is there Noticeable difference with MC upgrade, with and with out towing? I have the same truck and planning on doing MC, and MAYBE k3500 calipers.
I recently bypassed the abs module on my 1999 tahoe obs. If you need any ideas let me know. Thanks for the video. I’ll be swapping to the nbs master shortly
I did this on mine and oh yeah big difference, the key is to bleed the master before installing. Everytime i see someone do it on the car the results are not that good. I used the seringe method and than used the old school screwdriver method to confirm no air was present and yeah the seringe got it all out in just a few pumps.
Im also looking into this, they say the NBS master cylinder won't fit into the obs hydroboost unit and it needs machined? Has anyone self with this yet or made it work?

Great tutorial, plus the best wrencher’s soundtrack out there.

I always solved the spongy brakes on an OBS with baer calipers and stainless steel braided brake lines. (They are very long and squishy! ;))

Cool Cat 2007 yea it was a huge difference in my truck. I may have had some air in it too. But it stops great now and has a nice firm pedal

Did u end up doing the mc? I did the calipers already. Cant get the pedal to firm up. Even baught an abs bleeder.

I would be interested in knowing what fittings you used for deleting the abs. If you have part numbers that would be great.
Is this the same brake MC work on a 1990 k2500 light duty?
Good video. One question. Why does EVERYONE start their video wITH "WHATS UP/GOING ON GUYS?'
It was the thing to do back in the day. I’m not a fan either now
Any difference in pedal feel? How’s the brakes now?

I watched the entire video to hear if was any improvement
No. The bats were way to short and steep in an angle. Had to lengthen them dramatically
I have a GMC K2500 Suburban 8600 GVW, 7.4L Gas, Hydroboost. What is the correct upgrade Master for my truck?
I've got the same question. What did you do?
@@jw65587 I haven't done mine as I haven't found anyone that can tell me the correct one to order.

I hope this works on my straight axle Chevy Tahoe
Did it help?
But... how does it work????????
will this work for the 95?
Yes
it was a direct fit any mods?
I did the same thing bro forgot to put it on first lol
Why in the HELL would you EVER consider deleting an ABS module? That's dumb as shit.
