In this video I demonstrate how to reload the string in the Black and Decker weed whacker and refill the replacement line in the EGO weed eater. I also point out and demonstrate numerous features on each. In this weed eater review, I compare and contrast the two and teach about the power load feature of the newer model of the EGO string trimmer. looks like the b&d has a similar afs to the gh3000 that I have. It's been nothing but a headache since I bought it with the feed system constantly malfunctioning and refusing to work, and the replacement heads seem prone to breakage. I'd avoid the b&d afs at all costs.
I bought a new B&D shortly after this video. It’s simple and lightweight and works like a champ! I like it a lot and I’m going to get rid of my EGO one.
On the new 2023 black and decker how does the string come out when it gets short? You must bump the bottom or string will come out on its own? Thanks. I have an older one that had a button on top to get more string out. Please advise
From what I understand on model 522, the string comes out on its own. You don’t have to push a button or bump the bottom or anything.
You do not hit the trimmer head on the black and decker in has a button to get the line out
Hi there, the one I used in this video was a bump feed version. I bought a newer one and it has the button though. There is even another version that feeds new string automatically!
