I was playing with this trick and something occured to me. Some people do not identify the court cards with value 10 Instead they use the 11, 12 and 13 values for jack, queen and king. A way to get around this is simply subtract 1, 2 or 3 from ten. For ex if they choose a jack you count from 9 to 0, if it is queen you start from 8, and if it is a king you start from 7. This way when you tell them to add values from card they won t find weird that a court card is a 10...
Fantastic trick my friend you are the man Mr divine I really love your channel you have such great content as I've told you before your card tricks are super thanks for sharing catch you on your next one thumbs up your friend Billy Simmons
I was just getting ready to ask "what if it was a picture card?" So glad you covered that scenario. ONE MORE amazing trick for my reportoire... thank u Sean. You are on fire lately...
I just got this deck at target bro!! I love the back design but the faces are a lil much. Also just got the Hudsons along with them. Love the video and these cards. Thanks Sean!!
What i love about this is that it doesn't feel like a math trick at all nor an automatic one... Sometimes math tricks might seem tedious or just not magical... But the spin on this one is very good!!
This is SO good Sean! I have your book but this is one trick I never sat down and learned. Now, I will have to crack open your book again and learn some new material! #Roadto5K!
Cool trick reminds mi of the 13 card trick by Gaff Academy but the card starts on the bottom then you deal 13 cards to the table they select 3 of them 13 goes to the bottom turn over there 3 & count to 13 for each card jacks=11 queens=12 kings=13 aces=1 but you made it a diff trick ty
Will this principle work if they pick the Queen and we start counting backward from 8 (J:counting backward from 9, K:counting backward from 7)? If it works than we can count the Queen as 12 cards!
Amazing trick, but I’m confused. When you count backwards from ten and you say corresponding card, how do you know what that card is? For example you said the 6 was your corresponding card, but how did you know that it was that one and not any of the others. I don’t understand where the corresponding card comes from in the math equation.
Thanks Brian! So, when you're counting backwards and you deal a card that has the same value on the number you've counted, that will be the card. In the case in my performance, I was on the count of 6, and I also dealt the 6 of diamonds at the same time. That's what I mean by corresponding. Hope that helps!
Killer effect Sean, very well put together. I like mathematics-based card tricks that have that random feel and natural flow.
I've got your book and never rated this trick --- seeing your performance and explanation made me think again ---can't wait for the new book

That's limiting. Any math trick can look magical in the hands of a great magician.
This is a wonderful variation on a classic love it, well done.👍👏👍👏👍😊🤜🤛👍👍👍👏👏
Great tutorial, Sean! Very clever method!

Wow never thought of using that in that way. Very nice thanks for tutorial
Great trick and the method is awesome !
What an awesome twist on an old principle. We now have a real kicker of an ending! Thanks for sharing Sean.
Love this. Great principle
You could repeat this by noting the 18th card dealt face up. Great trick Sean.
Thats a great card trick. Thanks Sean 👍
Very nice Routine. Love it 😊
Dude i dont feel like we tell you we love you enough lol… fuckin awesome 👊🏼😎

I must be missing something. I have followed the explanation several times now, to the letter, and it simply does not work. 😢
