YAML has a CTRL+ ALT + F7 (I think if not its in the Controls) command to perform a short range teleport to unstuck your mech.

Clint build is good I think maybe its just too short range for the AI maybe?
Yeah that could be it, especially when I am taking things out at long range with ppcs and what not.
