@InfiniteXSeeker I told trueunderdog that sweet baby Inc does work with netherrealm because warner brothers is one of there clients warner brothers owns mortal kombat not ed boon he hasn't owned since mk9 but since he probably didn't see the name netherrealm studios on there maybe he thought sweet baby Inc did other stuff with wb that wasn't mortal kombat related but I'm sure sweet baby Inc had something to do with some of the changes in mk1

I mean like... tbh iron man in the mcu does the same shit. He can clearly speak through his mask but opens the mask up a lot during most of his dialog.
Also like yall keep referring to the whole "Wakanda" look. I feel as though Mortal Kombat has been taking a page from Marvel for a little while. Like Mk11 felt alot like Endgame with the whole time travel thing, and ending in a huge war with one of the main characters unlocking the powers of the electric god.
But yeah the whole thing with Sektor and Cyrax nobody likes the race swap and everyone knows its obviously them pushing their wokeness in the game (i mean they literally have a transgender apart of the team, ofc they'll add more LGBTQ+ stuff in the games) but them opening the mask to show its a black girl i dont think is them just doing that to show its a black woman.
They already have Tanya and Jackie as a black women and you can argue if Sheeva was a human shed be black too.
I think its them just trying to follow what Marvel is doing like they kinda been doing already. But honestly why should we care if she takes off the mask alot or not she's already not a he nothing we can do about that.
Plus like i said earlier they have LGBTQ+ people working in these games, they arent gonna listen to the fans they care way more about trying to be inclusive and less offensive to... ig their own staff members cause tbh the fans of Mortal Kombat does not care at all for that, but they will continue to make changes you hate to this franchise you love. Doesnt matter if they are working with SweetBabyInk or not. All you can do is stop spending money on the game and affect their profits.

I grew up with 1-4 and a little of Armageddon and 9 10 and 11 are good games, but Mk1 is not fun to look at or play.

It’s not just “a different timeline”, it’s a timeline remade by Liu Kang. None of this stuff makes sense to be in his timeline. Ed Boon also hates how MK used to be and now it’s turning into this woke slop.
I’m not on either side. I try to enjoy the game despite how incredibly lackey it is in content. Regarding the lore, I can get upset as much as I want, at the end of the day it’s not my franchise. When I become a billionaire and buy the rights to the franchise I can do and undo all I want. In the meantime I can enjoy what I like or just drop the game if it becomes unbearable. I’m not gonna sit there and sprinkle and splash tears all over the place over a game.
