PNG is usually a format used for imagens on the internet and so is JPEG, which means that it compresses the images so that they dont occupy much space, if you want an image to have as much resolution and quality as possible you should always export with formats like TIFF and PDF! TIFF as far as i know is not a "printable" format so i recomend using PDF...ofc this is just what ive learnt in my not so long life as a graphic designer. I almost never use PNG unless my background needs to be transparent, in which case yes you should use PNG. Also idk if you know this or not but make sure your image is in CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) which the mode we always use for files that are going to be printed. Printers usually have this color mode which means that when you export your file in CMYK and print it the colors are going to be more accurate because it matches the printers colors. Dont know if i explain that clearly but i think you get it xD To see if your file is in CMYK go to Image > Mode > CMYK Color Hope i was useful, great video as always ;)
I had a job as graphic designer and used Photoshop. I have since had four strokes and have been relearning Photoshop. Your video is a Godsend for me! Your step by step teaches how and I remember how to use some of the same things you have used.
Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU!!! I tried your technique on a doodle squiggle I had made and OMG it worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you :)
Hey PBB...... I'm new to all this bullet journal stuff and have been watching numerous videos and want to start my own...... unfortunately I've bought the wrong gsm book for my watercolour paintings as it's only 120gms and I'm used to 280gsm and up....... anyway I like this idea of painting and scanning and printing you have done as never even thought about doing anything like this...... I have been looking for 3 days now and still cant find clear matt sticky paper.... not sure if its cause I'm in the uk as all I keep finding is either white matt or clear glossy...... please could I have a link to where you buy yours from please....... as you have defo given me lots of ideas to do...... hopefully this bullet journaling will get me my confidence back and depression and anxiety under control as i spend a lot of time in my house due to health reasons and i feel like I'm going a little mad with the lack of motivation or confidence in my work or myself to do anything as i just throw everything away....... i love your work as I've binged you all this week as like i said I'm new...... only found out about bullet journaling end of last month....... anyway thank you and keep it up..... oh and merry christmas PBB xx
Maybe you can try to fix that dark spot with lasso tool and filling it in with content aware. Choosing the area and pressing delete usually works too. Sometimes that messes with the texture so using frequency separation might work a little bit more realistically since it keeps the texture. It's a tiny bit more work but it's worth it haha. Maybe this helps.
