The day we got the news she went missing... i felt like my world began to spiral..... and when they found her.... everything just broke, a couple days later my friend Silas had drowned in a river too.... they had known one another, we rode the same bus, all three of us... and they always were so nice to me..... i loved them very deeply, i wish we had let her stay with us, i still kinda blame myself for not pleading hard enough for her to live with us.... she didnt want to go to Fayetteville.... i miss her so damn much and here i am again, looking for more information about what happened to her, the story isnt fucking over and i refuse to accept the outcome. In so many cases we hear “the police said they couldn’t file a missing persons report for 24-48 hrs” or “police said since they were over 18 they’re considered a runaway, not a missing person” everyone please know, there is NO LAW that stops you from filing a missing persons report, whether it be due to the age of the person or how long they’ve gone with no contact. Unfortunately it’s something that police often tell families of victims, which just infuriates me. But DO NOT allow them to tell you that. If you know in your gut something is wrong you raise fucking hell until they do their job of helping find the victim. Make it very clear that there is no law in place stopping you from filing, , whether they’re over 18 or have only been missing for 6hrs, whatever the case may be. do not leave until that report is filed and they are actively looking for your loved one

Yeah, I would definitely say this was a premeditated murder. There was something he said to the police that really stood out to me as being a lie.
So, we all remember being teenagers, and having boyfriends/girlfriends that we thought were serious or the "real thing" at that age, but as adults looking back on it we realize it wasn't lol. Now he said that he had no idea that Danielle even thought she was pregnant...so he wasn't going to "talk" to her about that... because he said she only mentioned anything about a pregnancy once they were already out there talking. Then he said that he told Danielle that IF she was pregnant he would step up to the plate and accept his responsibility...but that he still didn't want to be with Danielle. So really, what was there to talk to her about thay was so urgent it required him and a friend to sneak out of his house that late at night, go to Danielle's house and throw his wallet at her window to get her attention THEN drive her to such a secluded area?? They were already broken up at this point and he says he didn't want to get back together with her, and he knew nothing about a possible pregnancy. 😕 Seems to me there were no "loose ends" to tie up in that situation... they were teenagers who broke up and had no interest in getting back together. The reason why I mentioned at the beginning about us all remembering being teenagers is just to think back to that time. You know that at that age, if you and a boy broke up (im talking to the women here lol), and he didn't want to be with you anymore, he isn't going to feel the need to come pick you up late at night to take you to a secluded area just to make sure you knew he was done with the relationship...especially since they were already broken up.
Then there is the part about his friend being there when he did this. If you genuinely want to have a private conversation about your relationship, you are not going to choose the night you have a friend staying with you at your house. There would have been MULTIPLE other (and much better) situations he could have found to talk to Danielle...like at school, st her house, he could have asked her to meet him somewhere after school.. and in the day time, not when you have to sneak out at night. And he would do it alone.
He knew exactly what was going to happen to Danielle that night. He knew when he left his house that if he could get Danielle to leave her house and go with him to "talk", she wouldn't be leaving their "conversation" alive!
He choose the night his friend was over because he knew he would obviously need help to physically move her body from the crime scene and to dispose of her body!
If he didn't plan this before he even left his house, he wouldn't have scheduled messages to be sent to his cell phone in advance... a time that just to happened to be when he would have been out at the river with Danielle? And for ANY teenager to leave the room they are in without having their cellphone attached to them, LET ALONE LEAVE THE HO8SE WITHOUT THEIR CELLPHONE?!
    Nope...NOT GONNA HAPPEN!
I have a 14 years old daughter and I can guarantee you that you will NOT see her without her cell phone!

I believe you may have left out a bit of the story... If I remember correctly from hearing about this story back then, he choked her and THOUGHT she was dead. He left her there and went home and got the concrete block and rope. She wasn't dead, but incapacitated, and woke up after they had left. She then managed to write the word "help". When they got back to retrieve her body, he realised she was still alive, put the sock in her mouth and strangled her again. The sock was to make sure. They then brought her to the river and dumped her body.

I went to school with jemichael from middle school to high school at cape fear. I’ll never forget going into 2nd period math class senior year and seing our teacher upset. Jemichael was in that class with me but that was the day he was arrested so he wasn’t there. Before that you would have never thought he killed anybody...he acted completely normal .

I'm a little confused, did Danielle tell him that she was pregnant when he showed up to her house or before? Because then if he just found out right then at the creek, he would need another motive because he obviously planned out this murder beforehand.

We were stationed at ft Bragg during this time and it really affected the community. They had search parties for her and he was actually apart of the search parties which was insane. He is really hated and the poor kids from south view really had a hard time coping with her death.
