I have the 406V which is basically this exact same unit just in vertical orientation, and I am loving it! Runs so smoothly and the joysticks make ALL the difference. I'm a vertical player for sure but if you like the horizontal orientation definitely get this one, it checks most of the boxes unless you're trying to play more intense emulation (in which case, RP5).
I just bought the 406v upgrading from a 405v. I love the form factor and definitely prefer vertical over horizontal. It packs a punch for a small device!
at $129 the 406v was good enough value and i regret not getting it,but its back up to $170 so i backed off, im gonna continue to use my s24 until the retroid pocket 5 goes down to $150 or if i can find a 406v or h at $100.
I think this is the one for me. I will wait for some reviews, specially for those joysticks hoping that they are exactly the same as the RG406V and possibly the triggers being analog. At first I was thinking on getting a Retroid Pocket 5 but the final price ,at least here in Mexico, is quite high. Around $100 behind of what I could pay for an LCD Steam Deck.
I've been waiting for this. And then they blew it by putting the d-pad on the bottom. I guess I'll be moving on from Anbernic, as they just refuse to get it perfect.
Is this TechCravers? Also careful, people will smash you for comparing these ALL IN ONE HANDHELDS to Phone/Controller combos LOL. The internet used to be for Porn but now it's for people to bash other people because they don't have to see anyone face to face 🤣

I appreciate your pronunciation of ‘Aitch’.
Loved the comment about "impending Nintendo lawsuit!!"

That's one way of putting it! (Also, this is not TechCravers, *this* is HyperPlayRPG...)
Just a shame Retroids software is terrible 😔
