I don't know why this video doesn't have more views. Such a great advice.
Thank you so much for everything you do. I have to work on not being so hard on myself.
A really excellent talk. I think eventually everyone will come up with the strategy that works for their stage fright. With me, it was "I've done this before.I can do it again." Another strategy I think may be helpful is thinking that you are not performing for hundreds of people but for just one person since the audience is just single individuals. A big thank you, Katie.
Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts and experiences with us 😀😀.
Thanks for these tips. That biscuit lady is brimming with confidence!
Thank you so much for this wonderful advice, Katie 🥰 I've suffered from stage fright my entire life but have managed to overcome some of it and am now able to stand in front of an audience and do poetry and text recitals - for some reason my voice is completely calm (thankfully) although my legs often shake uncontrollably 🙈 What's helped me is the strong desire to share texts (often Christian ones) that touch my heart in the hope that they'll touch others in the same way....which they actually seem to do, judging by the response 🙏😅
Playing my guitar and singing in front of others is a very different story, unfortunately. I sing in a choir and as long as I can hide amongst the others I'm ok. I have confidence in my 'reading' voice but my singing voice seems to be so much more fragile. But...I will take the advice you have so generously shared and work on this going forward.
Thank you again - you seem like such a genuinely lovely human being ❤️❤️
Very encouraging! Thank you!❤
You are so encouraging and helpful blessings
Thanks for being here! I appreciate you watching 😀😀.
Stage fright tells me I don't really know the material I'm performing because I can't "switch off" my brain. I rely on body memory to push past fears.
Very true. I feel the most anxious when I’m the least prepared. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us 😀😀.
