I've always thought the Lovecraftian Old Gods were a much more compelling and threatening opponent than the Burning Legion. Heck, their followers even have better music to listen to.
I know I answer a comment from 4 years ago but I just wanted to say yes they are a bigger threat since the burning crusade have been created to fight them actually
@@Fenronin Not just the Old Gods, but the Void Lords as well. Ironically enough, though, their methods of combatting the old gods and the void lords means destroying all of the sleeping titans, which in a sense is actually what the Void Lords wanted all this time.
Well the Legion was always a bit lame apart from the Nathrezim.
Sargeras should’ve stayed dead lorewise and left Archimonde and Kil’jaeden in charge since it would’ve made them a lot more interesting, along with Archimondes demise at the end of the Third War.
But since that isn’t the case I must say that the Twilights Hammer was a lot more compelling as villains because they infiltrated both the Alliance and Horde leadership and spread their influence through religious means, making them a very dangerous opponent!
It’s a shame that they failed with the Archbishop Benedictus storyline or the lack of in-game content about his betrayal and the huge impact he had on the alliance military and civilian population.
Void lords (old gods) have been alwqys the biggest threat in WoW universe. We've just kicked Blizz version of Thanos who wanted to fight them
Makes sense really, Burning Legion is just an army that was created by a former titan general driven mad FROM contact with the void/old gods. If he made the Legion just to combat THEM, then how horrific must THEY be...?
That said I'm not sure the storylines have done them justice...

They are chanting the names of elder beings. Not sure what the first names are, but the last two ones definitely “Cthulhu” and “Dagon”. Anyone else recognise the rest?

I love the use of this song in the Home Sweet Andorhal Machinma. the rogue is walking toward the three Human Soldiers and he vanishes and it keeps getting louder and loud then he appears behind one of the Soldiers and shouts SAY GOOD NIGHT and the music is screaming in the background haha its so cool!

I quit wow for many reasons ( guild wars 2 looks better than this game in my opinion) but one thing i will always miss from wow, is the music, my god the music is epic, and i love this one the most cause it so evil and fits 100% right for the twilight,
