yes indeed ........can often happen that the son that has an interest in farming is not the one that the father would prefer to farm ...............this relationship is strained from the onset ............makes life harder for both father and son ...............
I adapted an old Major so that the steering could be reversed very easily and used it as a 'challenge' at our local rally. Easy………. until you stopped thinking for a second - then you’d turn the wrong way! Lot of laughter and it proved a lot easier for the inexperienced drivers because they hadn’t got the natural ability!
😂😂😂 never seen that before, opposite steering , haha, try reversing and with a trailer on the back, or even a forage harvester and a trailer, reversing back off the silage row, to drop the trailer , for a pick up... Yes, I know it's old school I am thinking of.... 🤔😂
Good video to watch you and your dad have a good working relationship and get on well enjoyed the gearbox challenge I think you inadvertently gave us a mini yard tour as well👍🏻
Nightmare when you get mixed up in the pipes for anything, replaced pipes on a loader for our David brown last year and still not sure how but got them mixed up so now up is down and down is up (vs what the decals say for example) only gets tricky when we stick on the platform we built for hedge cutting!
Love those huge floaters on the ford looks awesome! You and your dad seem to be great pals, that is very cool to see. Happy birthday to him if I heard that right!
New subscriber👍 can’t stop watching your vids now, watching you and your dad working together is great. That was very funny getting the pipes the wrong way round especially on camera. Keep up the brilliant vids!
I love listening to the experienced guys farming, soooo knowledgable and enthusiastic about the stuff. Lol, spanner into the oil, not a good idea, like you say Nick, at least it won't rust 😂🤘. Massive tyres on the TW , what's the reason behind that?
Thanks for watching! We use the big terra tyres as it spreads the weight of the tractor so we can use it when conditions aren’t 100% in field, they are great and don’t leave a mark 👍👍
I use to drive a tw-25 easiest way to use these boxes is use clutch to start of and then just rev match to change gear no clutch.you get no crunch then
Oh the agony🤣😢👎 that poor gear box. When was the last time that box oil was changed? And perhaps you should consider a different oil grade? A little more practice with double- clutching technique for the both of you. Love you both anyway🇬🇧✌️. 😷🇺🇸.
😂 😂 😂 don't think I've ever laughed so much at a vid! I was always double clutching in the mogs as the syncros were a bit naff! When I do my powers steering vid (spoiler alert!😂) you'll see why I wish I had a standard tractor 😂😣😢. The opposite steering is as bad as when I put the trac in reverse drive... gear are the same way but wrong 😂😣
@@NicksFarm 😂 I'm not looking forward to it! My hands are to big for the space under the cab 😣. Ha yeah it is, you push away still for higher gears but where first should be, it's 7th...7th is actually first!?!
So I have one of these, my steering line also burst, my lines look way different under the front tho. I have these hollow hexagonal shaft extension tubes that bring the pivot out closer to the front of the tractor. And I'm excited that y'all mentioned ATF as well for the steering, because I'm searching online and finding stupid things people have recommended, even found one that recommended mineral oil 😂.
But can you solve this in 15 minutes ....? I obtain 14 kg of Tea by mixing grade A Tea worth £24 per kg with grade B Tea worth £19 per kg. I sell the mixture at £23 per kg , making a profit of £26 in total. How many kgs of grade A Tea was sold ?
father and son you guys are like brothers, and i can see the love
Those old gear boxes sort the men from the boys!
Excellent advice
Take the key out 👌👌
Its nice to see great connect with your dad awesome man
Great banter between you and your Dad. Great to see you working on the old iron!
A very good theft deterrent with the back to front steering lol.
Brilliant! Jack Whitehall eat your heart out! Thanks you two!
My favorite tractors!!
FORD IS GOLD 💪👌 SIMPLY THE BEST 👌❤️👍
I love tw 20 and 25 cos they are tanks and they will do anything you ask them accept shift gears
Rev match and experience you can eliminate crunching all the time
Great to see father and son with a great realantship

Loved the TW gear challenge 👍

Good evening Nick, thank you for the video! Your dad is a good sport. It's good to see you both get on so well!! Take care and stay safe 👍😎🇬🇧.
we think your dads a real laugh love him and you to nick
Really great video enjoy seeing the old kit. If you really wanted a challenge you should have tried reversing a trailer with the opposite steering 😉
Now that would be a challenge!!
😂😂😂 never seen that before, opposite steering , haha, try reversing and with a trailer on the back, or even a forage harvester and a trailer, reversing back off the silage row, to drop the trailer , for a pick up... Yes, I know it's old school I am thinking of.... 🤔😂
Great partnership with your dad making great memories to past on to your children 👍 Subscribed
Really enjoyed the interaction... Keep it up
That was funny. You two are a laugh. Not the easiest of gearboxes.
That was fun to watch! I enjoyed laughing with you and most certainly not at you.
😂😂 thanks for watching!
Good video to watch you and your dad have a good working relationship and get on well enjoyed the gearbox challenge I think you inadvertently gave us a mini yard tour as well👍🏻
That was a brilliant video, funny, putting steering pips on wrong way round good way to stitch someone up, your Dad's seems to be a real nice guy.
Great video Nick 👍🏻 Happy Birthday to your dad
Great video guys, I used to drive a TW15 and yes...I would be lying if I said I didn’t get the occasional crunch!!!

Great video, really enjoy the videos with your dad, very interactive and always a laugh
If you haven't already, treat yourself to a Ratchet Spanner set. There a god send!
No more scraped knuckles 👍
Don't think they work with pipes. Need to be open end spanner.
@@TheStevegrainger Ahh, forgot about that 😕, might be able to do one end???
still worth getting a set thou
Yes been wanting a set for a while now
@@NicksFarm put them on your Christmas list 👍
See you two guys, you just make me laugh, nice to see you both working together, well Dad working lol.
George Saunders has the same issue with his TW 25 lol. It’s just awkward to rev match at times to catch the gear. 👍🙏👍
He don't because he knows how to use these boxes
carl, George will freely admit, plus he has made the point of hi lighting in some of his content, the occasions where the box ‘sings’ to him.
Love those huge floaters on the ford looks awesome! You and your dad seem to be great pals, that is very cool to see. Happy birthday to him if I heard that right!
Thanks for watching, yes it was his birthday yesterday 👍👍
great video good laugh with your Dad love that tw 20 six cylinder sound cheers
What a team, it looked great fun.👍

That under side of the ford looks a lot similar to my 9000. I think the tw is a series newer.
Great video Nick.
Brilliant.
The old 7700 was the same gearbox always crunches lol 😂
actually it's a different gear pattern. second and third gear are swapped between a 7700 and a TW. They are both crunchy gearboxes.
Awsome video nick like you & your working together. Stay safe 🏴🏴🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍🚜🚜😷😷😷
crunchy crunchy great laugh guys
How wide is that tractor outside of the rear tires? Are those 66x43x25's on the back?
Ever had a loader on it? Looking at one with a loader but looks a big old lump😂
Anyone else wonder what they are saying? Until they show you on the video...
Also you dad is a very happy guy.
Good job on the video.
Great video as always you and your dad are funny
Thanks John
No bother
If you Can’t find it grind it dad 🤣 great video nick!
Thanks Lee 👍
Brilliant video nick absolutely hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks Mike 👍
I use to drive a tw-25 easiest way to use these boxes is use clutch to start of and then just rev match to change gear no clutch.you get no crunch then
That was so funny the wheels not right and then then the gearbox challenge
I like how the hydraulic hose are called pipes.
Nick I’m rolling over 😂 that would be funny if someone tried to steal her
😂😂 it’s surprisingly difficult to control!!
Great video nick 💪
Thanks Adam 👍
great vid . try and rev her between changes
When are you fitting the new gearbox lol
I hope you understand how much those Super-Singles are limiting its capabilities...
Clutch or no clutch?
Fantastic video Nick, the gearbox challenge hilarious, thank you, stay safe.
Thanks Kelvin 🙂
Luv your banta between you both great video 😂😂😂
Chock those wheels!! Great videos, makes me want to go back to farming.

No need to double clutch or blip on down shift?
No 👍
Your like Tom Pemberton Farm Life and the ginger warrior
Now there is a thought 🤔. A video of the dads together
You should try get a tw 30 or something

Try double clutch
Definitely a draw. Great bit of friendly farther son competition. Do think u should have left the pipes would have made every drive an occupation 😅
Haha that would be funny 😁
No change them around drive it like that will get you into problems
