I was there and I remember that youth conference in Arkadelphia Arkansas. But I was only 13 years old and so the way I participated was being in the van when my dad, the stake president, went to the airport to pick up John Bytheway, Brad Wilcox and a lady named Vivian I believe. I was really quiet and shy, but enjoyed the feeling of the spirit that was in the car. And they made some of the funniest church jokes I’ve ever heard like the Book of Mormon falling from the overhead cabins instead of oxygen in case of an emergency. And that the quad set of scriptures makes a good footrest on the plane. My sister had a cassette tape of John telling the Arkadelphia story. Loved hearing about our stake!
I moved to Arkansas less than five years ago and I loved hearing this story! It's beside the point, but I am the early morning seminary teacher in my ward and I can testify that we have the most amazing youth in the church! I love living here! I hope Eric and Aaron listened to this!
