Thank you for this story and for always showing such sensitivities to your listeners. You both have such a gift and are a blessing to us all. You are the favorite part of my day.

I love how he felt peace when he made the decision to stay. I feel like the power of the Living Word in this young man's journey, and I'm amazed at how illustrative the story is for me personally. I believe that I can resolve to love the Lord's will more and more, and to partake of those blessings through the process of yielding. This example swallows up the emphasis of the pain that would otherwise be found in not feeling connected to the a loving family (at home, on earth, at church, etc). I love this so much.

8:01 You may be speaking of a physical religious mission, as one with lifelong MDD I see it also as an analogy to our "mortality mission" and trying to stay around. 👍 Such mental problems like I deal with cause a "depression fog" that clouds things and even warps small mistakes/embarrassments/shortcomings into looking & feeling like they're much MUCH bigger & important than they really are. Making goals and commitments to keep going a little more, then later again a little more past that, can feel a lot like this story. ❤️
