My list of movies about family, for the whole family, would be Visitor Q by Takashi Miike, Miss Violence by Alexandros Avranas, Eraserhead by David Lynch, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre by Tobe Hooper. Movies about the power of love and family unity.
Aww! Swiss Family Robinson is such a sweet pick... 🥰 I'm giggling though 'cause Ant Timpson's Top 4 are so specifically a British kid's family film picks. Watership Down and Bugsy Malone are classic family film staples for a lot of Brits, meanwhile most Americans never see or hear about either one until they're older. It's just such an interesting phenomenon to me (especially since Bugsy Malone is an American film but, never became popular actually in America).
Every time I watch random videos about people talking about movies. I get humbled when someone talks about completely news movies that I’ve never heard about, like the Ant Timpson’s picks. That shows how little I know about movies and I’ve seen ton of them
Chris has such good taste batman mask of the phantasm is a masterpiece I hope his movie is good though because lots of people are hating on it who have seen it
@@medou2161 That makes it even worse lol. Really disrespectful to ask Chris a question that was related to a completely different movie when he had his own movie premiering at the festival
@@ckf36 If that's disrespectful than I don't know what respect is. Think about that for a second. Seriously. This is just a fun question from a social media, not the press conference at Cannes
Elijah is a real man of the people. Most actors just throw movies from the 40's and 50's. They are great, but cinema still exists after those 20 years, guys.
The Goonies knowing Sean Astin is in it, aww Also Watership Down is good but definitely not something a very young kid should watch, it exists in that vaunted pre-teen post-adolescence kids audience.
I'm 30 years old and saw Cars for the first time a month ago. I hated the first hour. It was boring, and i disliked the main character so much. But the movie really did a 180 on me, and the second half was really really really great!
stuckmann made one movie nobody has seen and he's being lumped in with longtime filmmakers. letterboxd is really dropping any kind of standards now lmao
Seeing Stuckmann here is trippy. Awesome
Frodo chooses The Goonies for his Sam. 😊
"Oh Sam".
"The Zone of Interest for family films" is a brilliant description of Watership Down.
So happy for Chris. He never let his past tell him who he should be.
What's his past?

Chris Stuckmann's so real for Cars!
Man Chris Stuckmann getting his picture out is getting me teary eyed
Me too!
Elijah rules so hard.
Sooo great to see Stuckman being a film director, finally!! Aint seen the film yet, but am dying to see it.
"Watership Down is The Zone of Interest of Family films" is the most accurate way I've seen someone describe that movie, lmao
So proud of Chris Stuckmann. Talk about an inspiration. 👏👏👏
In what way?
@sabrinashelton1997 You okay?
@@BloodeeJacob What are you talking about?
@sabrinashelton1997 you commented on multiple things questioning anything remotely positive about Stuckmann lol
@@BloodeeJacob Bruh, I don't even know the dude. That's why I'm asking. What are you, his boyfriend?
04:00 I watched Goodfellas with my mum's husband when I was like 9 or 10 and realized Joe Pesci there too as the "Home Alone Guy"
One of the best of these that I've seen. What a great breadth of films among them, and all bangers!

So many Stuckman Stans.

The British: pick films that traumatize children for life.
thanks for changing the editing
Good for Chris!
Asked the guy at the ticket booth for the free poster Letterboxd members were supposed to get. He had no clue what I was talking about.
