not sure we’ll ever see dekalog and flubber in the same top 4 again
truly worth stanning
Seriously astonished at the incredible audacity
Nope, won't happen. So wild.
Or separately, tbh
Stephanie Hsu is so real for picking Flubber. What a throwback.
Black and white movie is much better
@@fortheroyaltywhy do you say that?
It’s fascinating how different is everybody’s taste in movies
everybody so creative.
My go to genres are action, romcom and animation
@@manuelorozco7760 Recommend me some good romcoms. Career Opportunities is underrated.
@@manuelorozco7760 And action flicks.
“There’s never been a man who is more hot than Patrick Swayze” WHY DIDN’T YOU CUT TO RYAN GOSLING 😭😭😭😭
Ryan Gosling not even the best looking dude in Hollywood and he’s very good looking
him saying "Rocky?" would have been just perfect 😂
Love the emotionless drone faces of the PR people in the background
Dekalog mentioned!!
I love how bothered some of the staff for these actors look.
Staff is working 💚
Haha, was thinking the same thing!
Holy shit get Stephanie Hsu an account
Dekalog! I love Stephanie Hsu more now.
Ryan’s top 4 is being watched ASAP!!
Cocoon is an incredible movie I haven't watched since the 90's, my parents loved it, if you haven't seen it, definitely check it out.. gonna have to rewatch no retreat, no surrender now since I can't really remember it besides the fact JCVD has a small part as the villain lol.. but come on Back to the future, and Rocky!? Those should be on everyones favorite lists lol. Gonna have to watch those over again now too lol.
@@ReadyPlayerTomVR Back to the future is the only one I’ve seen 🙈 I’m really interested in cocoon but haven’t found anywhere to watch it just yet!
@@M-lu3bi YOU'VE NEVER SEEN ROCKY!?!?lol I'm jealous, would die to watch those with no knowledge.. and Cocoon is great, that is if you can find it.
You haven't seen them? Seek professional help
BTTF is amazing, Rocky is also great (not the 5th one).
The woman that said Matrix, Amelie and Y Tu mama tambien ♥ love your taste
Love Amelie!
Same! She and I have the same 2/4 favourites right off the bat (Wizard of Oz and Amélie), I got so excited! Love The Matrix (who doesn't?). Guess I will be watching Y Tu Mamá También immediately (it's been on my watchlist for quite a while now).
her name is Kelly McCormick
Classic and great choices for Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling!😉
Hannah Waddingham!🤩
I love that he said No Retreat No Surrender, usually in these top 4s people give really high brow answers, I'm always hoping someone would list some 80s action movies
Stephanie has impeccable taste, and is amazing for choosing Kieślowski's 'Dekalog' !! 10 points from me - and not just because I'm a Pole, but Kieślowski was, objectively, without any doubt, one of the greatest directors in cinema history. It's so tragic he died relatively young during heart surgery, he could have made so many more great movies; even tho he officially retired 2 years before his death, but I believe had he lived, he would have come back to the cinema and made more movies! I love all of Kieślowski's movies, but next to the Dekalog, one of my favorites is Blue from the Three Colors Trilogy.
I didn’t think I could be more in love with Stephanie Hsu than I already was, but then her first pick was Eternal Sunshine
FINALLY!! Thank you Letterboxd 😁
Winston Duke knows ball. Absolutely amazing line up from him.
Just because you said so huh?
Doesn’t have 1 classic film on there lmao
@@Njbear7453 that's a good thing
@@Njbear7453 Tf does that have to do with anything lmao, just because someone doesn't like a film made hundred years ago so they automatically got zero taste ? istg ppl need to stop living in the past and realize that everybody got different taste. Not everything has to be old to be seen as classy
LMAO Emily Blunt's real blase "That's cool" is killing me
I’m sure I agree with Ryan, Emily and Hannah that Back To The Future, Romancing The Stone and Dirty Dancing are three of the best movies of the 80’s. Other than that, Can’t wait for The Fall Guy. It’s gotta be good of a movie with the cast they assembled!
Well Emily Blunt has great taste
Patrick Swayze needed to be in more movies. He's SO enjoyable of an actor.
boy, it might seems crazy what imma bout to say
"...pure Letterboxd fodder" - he's not wrong! 😍🔥
Emily's list was really good
She has a taste for the classics.
@@petergivenbless900She’s also not pretentious with her choices. Most of the time actors and directors choose films that are basically Oscar bait films. Emily had some fun with it
@@dawsynasay4841My man Liking Good movies is not pretentious just because dawsyn asay who watches 1 Film per week doesnt get them, while their whole job is linked With films.
You could not follow up the Dekalog with a better pick than FLUBBER
Was pleasantly surprised with Dekalog choice!
Two of the episodes were also expanded into feature films; 'A Short Film About Love' and 'A Short Film About Killing'... but I'm sure you already knew that.
Man some of those Dekalog episodes are just overwhelming in their power, especially the two that were expanded and made into movies.
Ryan gosling and Emily - the fall guy movie. 👍❤️💥🤠🤩
Epic action romance comedy entertainment
not me imagining being in one of these like im gonna be a famous actor one day 😂
I felt these were much more honest answers than what we usually get for this question. So many celebrities tend to give these artsy, prestige answers, when you know their fav film is really Terminator 2.
I think it's all based on their approach to acting, their upbringing, what they value in a film
Stunt Rock mentioned, hell yeah. Just as Grant Page passed away this week too.
Dekalog is crazyyyy lmao that makes me love stephanie sm more
ETERNAL SUNSHINE
I love that one of these interviewees gives us Dekalog and Flubber in the same lineup, lol
Seeing the support cast made me even more interested in the movie.
Finally boys, our favorite four just dropped.
Anyone who picks Back To The Future is a legend
Cannot agree more !!
My all time fav. Can’t beat it
I’ve seen it 4-5 times. The sequels can’t top the original
Now I know why I love David Leitch films…
The editing was a mess in this video. Too many fast cuts between different people.
Yeah definitely a little distracting. I usually don’t mind the cuts, I think it was because there were SO many people in this one.
yeahh, agreed. keep it to one person at a time, so hard to keep track of the movies
Gosling picking No Retreat, No Surrender makes him a real one.
I’m really interested in what Ryan would have said if he’d had been asked during the Barbie press😂
Lol this!
I rewatched Crazy Stupid Love and La La Land to prepare myself for Barbie
@@manuelorozco7760 Tsk tsk, should've seen the Nice Guys. That's better even better comedy than Crazy Stupid Love in my opinion.
@@elijahalbiston To each their own
Big ups to Stephanie Hsu for Eternal Sunshine and Decalogue. Wow. Did not at all expect that Kieslowski work to be among the picks.
David Leitch is so real for picking Happy Gilmore that is a mainstay in my four faves
Is that the Mayhem Like Me guy?? Such a fitting cast member in a movie about stunt performers 😂
Ryan has to be trolling us: "Cocoon"??!
No retreat no surrender is the greatest movie of all time. Awesome and inspiring soundtrack too!!
Stunt Rock! R.I.P. Grant Page.
Gosling's got some elite picks.
2001. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
2001. Donnie Darko
1996. Trainspotting
2003. Kill Bill vol.1
Escape from New York (1982)
The Untouchables (1987)
Eyes Wide Shut (1999)
Triangle (2009)
That was fun.
OH. MY. GOD. FIRST TIME SOMEONE ACTUALLY HAS MY NO. 1 MOVIE O.A.T. - THE LAST SAMURAI - AS THEIR FAVORITE.
finally someone mentioned y tu mamá también!!!
10.The Dark Knight, Iron Man and Guardians of the Galaxy 1
9.Carpenter’s Halloween and The Thing
8.The Terminator (1 and 2)
7.Princess Mononoke, Porco Rosso and Ponyo
6.Blade Runner (1 and 2)
5.Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction
4.Wall-E, Ratatouille, Soul, The Incredibles and Luca
3.2001: A Space Odyssey, Full Metal Jacket and The Shining
2.The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
1.Jurassic Park
"Hold on to that Vision in your eye" Ryan ❤ great pick. No Retreat No Surrender
Kudos to them for naming films people have actually seen/heard of.
No one said Kinji Fukasaku's Fall Guy (1982), very surprising, it is amazing
Separate every actors picks from this video
Why? Who cares
@@RyanDudziak Because it's irritating af especially with the fast cuts to keep track of each individual pick.
@@gaylord_focker they'll probably upload individual actors as shorts tbh
yeah the editing was whack on this one for some reason, especially with no names being captioned like they usually are
hard to follow! agreed!
Emily❤
Winston duke with 90s movies and the last samurai
Stephanie Hsu is literally me what the…!
Dekalog mentioned!
2:06 In a loving tribute to the Albino Woman from Harmony Korine's Gummo (1997)
Hannah Waddingham with a W list
I don't know whether it was totally accidental or purposeful on Drew Pearce's part but I just found out that the lead actor of Stunt Rock passed away yesterday... 😨
I'm still waiting for anyone to mention Crimes and Misdemeanors:(
Stuntrock!!!
We got four favourites 🔥🙌
dekalog and flubber is the best thing i have ever seen
Marry me Emily Blunt
Never Retreat Never Surrender is horrible and I love it
Pls stick to one person at a time or at least make the cuts slower. I want to get a sense of the type of films these people like without having to furiously take notes in between edits
DEKALOG MENTIONED!
Beautiful Mind and Matrix!! That's what I'm talking about!
Stephanie Hsu is so cute 💜💜
Ryan Gosling ''I wanted to be like Bruce Lee.'' I mean, well, who wouldn't?
Funny how my top 4 has 2 Ryan gosling movies
Not a superstar and probably my opinion doesn´t metter much, but my four fav of all time is
RAN by akira kurosawa, 1985 .
VERTIGO by A. hitchcock 1958.
APOCALYPSE NOW by coppola 1979.
SCHINDLER'S LIST by Steven spielberg 1993.
I'd kill for one of those red crew jackets.
Ryan Gosling has W taste
I’ll echo another user’s comment that was deleted… you need to edit these better. Mixing different people’s picks then skipping immediately to the next is nonsensical. What a mess of an edit…
What about Ryan Goslings 4th favorite?
Hsu and Dekalog. My type of gal.
Emily Blunt was the best
Finally!
Stephanie Hsu based picks
ENTER THE DRAGON MENTIONED 🐉
Mrs Doubtfire would be on my list!
Me too! I love it!
Awesome
they keep choosing these old movies that no one watches anymore, and they never named Carpenter's THE THING
same, Stephanie, same. 1:59
BTTF and No Retreat No Surrender👍🏼
LoA!!!
You missed Ryan's 4th pick!
They didn't, it just happened very quick lol 2:22
Oh my bad haha. I knew it was going to be Rocky!
Which is the second movie which Drew Pearce mentioned?
A Man and a Woman, he said the French title Un Homme et un Femme
Bruce Lee was to Ryan Gosling what Ryan Gosling is to most men of this generation
bruce lee is to myself what ryan gosling is to most men of this generation (i’m also a big gosling fan)
The Stuntman, starring Peter O'Toole, is NOT "a wonderful movie, start to finish." It's really dull. Don't believe the hype. Rewatch Lawrence of Arabia instead. Emily knows what's up.
😂😂😂
👏👏
STEPHANIE HSU AND I HAVE THE SAME TOP 4 BASICALLY
So two months of press. I hate when they make us wait like this.
"Gone with the Wind"....😳
Did you leave ATJ out of it completely?....why?
Ryan and I might be the same... on the inside...
