I'm a south Indian, Hindu. But I have great respect for Mr Jinnah. I saw the biopic on this great leader. He was a man of honesty, integrity, and courage. He fought for the rights of Muslim minority. He initially wanted a united India with safeguards to protect the rights of Muslim minorities. After several failed discussions with the Congress to achieve that object, he had no option except going for partition. Had he lived for at least 10 years more, he would have made Pakistan a modern Islamic state. Unfortunately he died just in a year after independence and Pakistan is now in shambles and suffering from religious fundamentalism. He was truely a great leader and I admire him a lot.
Very much true many Indians were against partition even today but I think Partition was inevitable. M.A.Jinnah had a secular Pakistan in mind but unfortunately, he passed away very early and our country went downhill.
No religious fundamentalism anymore in Pakistan is on right track now giving equal rights to it's minorities unlike India going in the opposite direction under Modi!!!

Sure the new govt is allowing freedom of religion by opening Kartarpur corridor & Hindu temples but when recently a new one was being built in Islamabad you should have seen the anger on social media. Some idiots were like why are we building a temple when India is killing muslims & destroying Babri masjid? Smh, our people can't even differentiate between Pakistani Hindus & Indian Hindus (even then not all Hindus in India are bad). Even forced conversions still happen, there was a famous one last year. I am indian but I consider such kind of leader born in a century the way he single handedly gain freedom is unimaginable by fighting Britishers and dominant 73%hindus at same time shows his skills, truth,honesty he was a great barrister and biggest lawyer of India at that time who fought many cases and also member of Congress at one time and also in 1916 greatest symbol of Hindu Muslim unity but Congress was fooling muslim and there was Hindu domination as they were playing politics of religion like calling Nehru Panditji,Gandhi showing half clothes showing immitance of Hindu peasant and more Hindus were being promoted inspite of their work this depressed him so much that he leave Congress and went to London many leaders of muslim that's why reject Congress calling it as a Hindu party and more and more people joined Muslim league,in 1930 by request of Iqbal he came back again in India and join Muslim league to fight for muslim rights and in 1940 he proposed14 points asking special representation for muslim as they are in minority and their religion, culture,language,music,everything at stake as they being minority will be dominated by hindu majority but Congress rejected his points so after that he ask muslim majority areas to be called Pakistan and Muslim minority areas called as India.
Yes what you state is right but you forgot to mention few important fact during that period. What Jinnah really wanted was to get what they were enjoying as thier right upto 1927 since the day of Lucknow pact, 1916. But As you said, Papa Nehru report of 1928 totally disregarded such factor of unity with the excuse of religion & creed shall not be the basis of administration for a future country, it is true in every sense if we look from our current social perception but in such period of time it was immature decision as people were largely illiterate and many other factor of evil were there to feed on people emotion and sentiment. As far as i know in that 14 point Report of Jinnah, he was not even asking seperate electorate for muslim unconditionally, he wanted it to be continue untill universal adult franchise is fully implemented in British India & one day or other day adult franchise was going to be implemented when we get our freedom from British. One more contradiction i come to notice is when Ambedkar start demanding for seperae electorate for depressed class Gandhiji went for fast untill death in Yaravada jail and atladt Ambedkar succumbed to prevailung pressure of the period and to the Gandhiji request for withdrawal of demand for Seperate electorate, INC granted Indian depressed class reservation through the Poona Pact in province as well as in Central lesgislative council but when Jinnah demanded the same they didnt even listen to his words of concern for his community as if they were expendible, there were many other demand from Jinnah which were already agreed & allowed by the INC upto 1927 but Papa Nehru totally denied it through his Report. If only Gandhiji had strike such a deal with Muslim league in that period then i hope India would have never been divided and we would have been a united strong and vibrant country. It is a foolish excuse to always blame British for the hardship we went through.

I'm a south Indian, Hindu. But I have great respect for Mr Jinnah. I saw the biopic on this great leader. He was a man of honesty, integrity, and courage. He fought for the rights of Muslim minority. He initially wanted a united India with safeguards to protect the rights of Muslim minorities. After several failed discussions with the Congress to achieve that object, he had no option except going for partition. Had he lived for at least 10 years more, he would have made Pakistan a modern Islamic state. Unfortunately he died just in a year after independence and Pakistan is now in shambles and suffering from religious fundamentalism.
He was truely a great leader and I admire him a lot.
Very much true many Indians were against partition even today but I think Partition was inevitable. M.A.Jinnah had a secular Pakistan in mind but unfortunately, he passed away very early and our country went downhill.

I am indian but I consider such kind of leader born in a century the way he single handedly gain freedom is unimaginable by fighting Britishers and dominant 73%hindus at same time shows his skills, truth,honesty he was a great barrister and biggest lawyer of India at that time who fought many cases and also member of Congress at one time and also in 1916 greatest symbol of Hindu Muslim unity but Congress was fooling muslim and there was Hindu domination as they were playing politics of religion like calling Nehru Panditji,Gandhi showing half clothes showing immitance of Hindu peasant and more Hindus were being promoted inspite of their work this depressed him so much that he leave Congress and went to London many leaders of muslim that's why reject Congress calling it as a Hindu party and more and more people joined Muslim league,in 1930 by request of Iqbal he came back again in India and join Muslim league to fight for muslim rights and in 1940 he proposed14 points asking special representation for muslim as they are in minority and their religion, culture,language,music,everything at stake as they being minority will be dominated by hindu majority but Congress rejected his points so after that he ask muslim majority areas to be called Pakistan and Muslim minority areas called as India.

Yes what you state is right but you forgot to mention few important fact during that period. What Jinnah really wanted was to get what they were enjoying as thier right upto 1927 since the day of Lucknow pact, 1916. But As you said, Papa Nehru report of 1928 totally disregarded such factor of unity with the excuse of religion & creed shall not be the basis of administration for a future country, it is true in every sense if we look from our current social perception but in such period of time it was immature decision as people were largely illiterate and many other factor of evil were there to feed on people emotion and sentiment. As far as i know in that 14 point Report of Jinnah, he was not even asking seperate electorate for muslim unconditionally, he wanted it to be continue untill universal adult franchise is fully implemented in British India & one day or other day adult franchise was going to be implemented when we get our freedom from British. One more contradiction i come to notice is when Ambedkar start demanding for seperae electorate for depressed class Gandhiji went for fast untill death in Yaravada jail and atladt Ambedkar succumbed to prevailung pressure of the period and to the Gandhiji request for withdrawal of demand for Seperate electorate, INC granted Indian depressed class reservation through the Poona Pact in province as well as in Central lesgislative council but when Jinnah demanded the same they didnt even listen to his words of concern for his community as if they were expendible, there were many other demand from Jinnah which were already agreed & allowed by the INC upto 1927 but Papa Nehru totally denied it through his Report. If only Gandhiji had strike such a deal with Muslim league in that period then i hope India would have never been divided and we would have been a united strong and vibrant country. It is a foolish excuse to always blame British for the hardship we went through.
