He caused the partition, that was his biggest contribution. The Hindu leaders were a big obstacle in the way of partition, even almost half of the Muslims opposed him but still he got us an independent state. All such partitions and independences have brought with them huge massacre. Read the history of the world or at least the ancient and medieval histoy of the subcontinent to get to know that. Every nation puts claim to a land and then they fight each other over it to gain it. Land has always been disputed over by different nations and they have always fought for it and given innumerable sacrifices and killed others in huge numbers.

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, the Muslims are targeted by the Hindus for slaughtering cows which in general is "Vegetarian vs Non-vegetarian". Jinnah knew such things would keep happening due to the religious scholars who teach the masses against the other religion which would create hate for each other thus becoming a chain of unpleasant incidents giving rise to massive riots like the one in the Indian Gujarat under CM Narendra Modi. Jinnah clearly observed such tensions would continue for indefinite time. Jinnah, at the time of partition, said to the Indian Muslims "I tell you one thing for sure that if you want to live in India then you will have to prove loyalty and fealty to India throughout your life otherwise you will be considered traitors." Shah Rukh Khan once said in an interview to the Aap Ki Adalat show that "It really saddens me when every now and then people repeatedly ask me whether I am loyal and allegiant to India or not, it brings tears to my eyes that I have to prove allegiance and fealty to India all the time because I am a Muslim". He clearly meant that such questions are asked only of the Muslims and not Hindus etc and why the loyalty of the Muslims to India is being seen with suspicion.
