    Wow, the part about how you can only stretch a muscle to a degree was really enlightening. Yeah I think that something is really off about this craze of "the deep stretch" and trying to bias everything for the stretch and the eccentric. No top olympians every really train this way.

    Absolutely love your content, top notch, thanks so much for doing this! Just one suggestion: Why not leave out all references to those haters, RUclips commentators, etc. -- this sensitivity to irrelevant comments is kind of distracting from your fantastic content

    I believe when he said "books" he was referring to the magazines of his time. I've heard him say that dozens of times.

    My gym has a precor hack squat. It doesn’t have pads around the head but just has a pad for your mid-lower back. Is that good brand for hack squats in your opinion?

    Coach - when doing any type of lateral flyes, my left trap always takes over to the point where it gets a pump, even when I drop the weight. My left shoulder is smaller than my right. What can I do to fix this or what video of yours do you recommend watching??

      probably opening up your scapula would help, as in acquiring shoulder mobility, but pretty hard to tell my guy

    • @memos106
      @memos106 Месяц назад

      This used to happen with me as well try doing it in scapula plane similar to y raise or try lying dumbbell raise and just work in that lengthened position

    Why do you always separate “studies” and bio mechanics? There’s a whole field of academia called biomechanics

    • @HypertrophyCoach
      @HypertrophyCoach  Месяц назад +1

      I know. That’s what I studied at school and continue to study. Understanding underlying principles/laws vs, controlling as much as possible to see what outcome changing 1 variables produces. It’s the difference between not needing a study to know what works better for survival, jumping out of an airplane with or without a parachute. If you understand physics, gravity, wind resistance, etc…you can explain why a parachute is better without a study. Whereas you could look for different descent speeds with different parachute materials, a study would have merit.

      I can explain forces in an exercise without a study.

    • @danielwing1985
      @danielwing1985 Месяц назад

      @@HypertrophyCoach yeah but to understand what the best parachute would be, you could only get at the answer using the scientific method I.e. ‘a study’

      I don’t think done after a session there is any detriment. May provide benefits.
