I love mine. I never shot a back tension release before, and it has helped me improve my long range accuracy tremendously. I used to punch the trigger, which would work for me target shooting at close range, but not at longer range or on actual animals. I had a bad case of target panic last year with my old release and shot clean over a deer at 15 yards because I got excited and punched the trigger. With the back tension I’m able to hold steady on the pin, then engage the trigger and apply back tension and get the arrow right where I want at 60+ yards durring practice. I might switch to a handheld eventually to give it a try, but for now I love this release.
Trigger shooter shooter for years. Humorously figured out what trigger panic/anticipation was in the basement. First time I tried, bow about jumped out of my hand but did not go off. If it would have been filmed Dudley could have used it in a commercial #triggerpanicisreal. After a bit of practice I will never go back to a trigger.
Needing a new release and looking it the backstrap and the scott s2, and trying to get were I use the back tension way instead of index finger, which one be best
I know this is two years old and I’m late to the party, blah blah blah. But this is no more a back tension release than anything else is. It is a resistance release. Yes is forces you to push and pull which is essential for a proper back tension release. But if you don’t think you can hurky jerky yank the shot with this just as much as any other release made, come watch me! I’m can show you how it ain’t supposed to be done with one! 🥴 Back Tension is a process or style. Not a type of release. Understanding that help’s understanding proper release. Thanks for attending my Ted talk. 😜
Love the release but the issue I have is I hunt with Stan and with the opposite hook side I have to adjust my windage big time to compensate. I forgot to change one practice and hit my wood fence haha
I recently just got the BackStrap and tried it out for the first time. I'm a right hand shooter, shooting a Mathews. Paper tuned w/BackStrap consistently have a left tear no matter how much I moved the rest to the right. Paper tuned w/CenterCaliper Truball wrist release and shoots bullets. Any comments or critique appreciated.
I would like to see more about arrow builds for lower pound bows around like 60 maybe 55 lbs like what spine to use for higher foc arrows or good set up for speed arrows and what components to use thanks and love the content
When I shoot the back strap with resistance I get a wicked left tear through paper. When I shoot it like a regular release (or any other) I get bullet holes. I assume it means I’m probably not pulling straight back but towards my face? (RH shooter)
Dan: Looking to go to a back tension. Shooting a Scott index finger. (Or anyone using an index). Backstrap or Silverback Plus? What is a better starter for back tension?
Oh boy.... jury is out for me. Used it for a month now, and I feel it’s inconsistent. Or I do understand it could be me. My problem is when I deactivate the trigger at full draw and put slight tension it goes off, then the next shot I have to about pull my bow in half to make it go off. Still not giving up on it, but not as simple as one would think.....
Good video! I wanted to point out how relaxed his hand is using a wrist strap! This is one of the biggest problems wrist strap shooters struggle with. Great shot execution to watch! I also believe running the strap on the palm side verses the wrist side feels much more like a hand held and less room for error. We actually make wrist straps out of diver webbing and they do NOT stretch which is why I went away from WS... Maybe a video of why he uses the wrist strip like this and how he pulls and keeps hand relaxed.
What glue do you use for your #aaemaxstealthvanes ? I have some trouble with them sticking to certain carbon arrows. I really love the vanes and wanna know if there are some glue's that work better than others and or do wraps help?
This is a great hunting release, IMHO. I don't think it is intended to be a stepping stone to a hinge. My point of impact is quite different than my other releases, including the nock on Silverback. Could be partially me but Dudley had the same problem, LEFT.
Anybody shoot this release yet?? We've got some archery goodness in the hopper 🙏🤘
I love mine !! Very crisp!!!
I just ordered one. Can you tell me if the head on this release is the same length trigger to hook as a Like Mike?

Back tension with rotation? Do you mean a hinge release? Hinge is not true back tension.
Always great information
I just picked up a Carter like Mike 2 is there a difference between that one and the Carter like Mike 2
what brand is that bow case?❤🔥

If you’re shooting bullets with one style of release, I wouldn’t change.
Any issues with this releases locking up like the like Mike did ?
I think it is Like Mike, Carter makes all Nock on releases
I have problems finding my anchor point with a index release
Awesome video🙌
What arrows is he using?

I second this!

Your tears will tend to follow your elbow, so you may be rotating around vs pulling straight.
Hi so I have a release that hinges that this one and it rips out my beard hair every shot!!! Did this one do that to you?
What Stabilizer mount is MFJJ using on his rig?
Thanks for the video and input on that release keep them uploads coming
I need one of these! Can’t find them in stock anywhere
In stock on the nock on website right now just got mine!
I had to return my Nock 2 It due to a hand injury, did not order the Silverback for the same reason...I am getting this for sure

Short sweet to the point awesome be waiting for the next one

I don’t think these have been released to the public yet... but this looks like exactly what I need! I’m on the list for one.
The real question is guys, is it worth the premium price 219.99
You can do the same with a TruBall beast. it's half the price.
@@fit4thepursuit221 Beast is not a back tension release but X-Tension R/T is.
One of the top RUclips channels! Would love to see a video that closely goes over form. Highly detailed. Thanks!

how to shoot a wrist strap would be a great video
Awesome video thanks, the backstrap is in my nockon cart now. I’m stoked to try it. I’ve only ever shot the index style.
looking for tips on improving a person ancor with a wrist release. would be very interested in a how to video
Almost half of this video was lead in promo video. I was hoping for some meat
$219 is too much for me

👍👍🏹
That release has been around for all most 20 years. Not with a green nock on logo but it’s nothing new
Except you cant find the original model because they're not made anymore. Plus the fact that the trigger works exactly opposite to the original.

The best release is fingers.
Ill sell you mine for 350...lmao
What does THE" MF"IN MFJJ mean? Or should I just use my imagination?
you know what it means Josh
@@ElkShape you're right. My bad.
Does he have an ex-wife?.. maybe she started it?.. or he is a bad dude!.. I'm going with #2!😉
