Hobby Update - 15.05.23 - Oathmark Ogres and Ogre Linebreakers

- Before I got really busy toward the end of last week, I managed to finish these Ogres. Absolutely gorgeous models from Ral Partha. Really enjoyed painting these.

Amazing job, you really brought out all the awesome details of these Ogres. I also really love the effect you got on the armor, looks aged but not rusty and destroyed.
They look great, Bob Olley is such an underappreciated sculptor.
He is. I've not had tooo many of his figures because a lot of it falls outside of my interest but this line is so amazing... I really might just get the lot and figure out what to do with them later xD
They're such lovely miniatures, so full of character. You've painted them so well too!

Thank you! It's much easier to really do the figures justice when I thoroughly enjoy them. These were some of the most fun I've had painting in a while.

Those ogres are fantastic, very well done. Special props for those crazy oldhammer vibe red/white stripped pants. Love the channel!
Thanks! There's just something about those stripey pants you can't beat... wish they weren't such an enormous pain in neck to paint, I'd do it more often :D

These chaps are looking brilliant mate. Love the paint jobs. Really appeals to me that these figures are sinewy and not bulked muscle.
I really like that too. It gives them so much more of a grizzled veteran look.
The armor is sweet! Would love to see a tutorial on that someday. The basing also came out excellent.
I think there's a tutorial on the basing already... sometime in 2021? But yeah, I'll have to repeat the technique for the armor a few times and then I'll make a guide. I really like how it came out, too =)
In addition to the Ral Partha agres there are some Bob Olley sculpted urucks and ogres that were in SHQ's fantasy section but are in the process of being sold to Zealot Miniatures. They should fit in with these lot.

thanks! It's sort of inspired by Kevin Dallimore with a few of my own influences. Especially in the highlights. I'll try to make a guide for it at some point.
Super! Die Figuren auf der Seite sehen aus wie "Shit", aber so bemalt der Knaller und ich hab sofort Bock drauf! Weiter so (...draining my wallet)! 👍
Das ist eins meiner größten Probleme mit so alten Minis. Meistens findet man einfach keine Bilder im bemalten Zustand und kauft einfach nur die Katze im Sack... Ich hab auch ein paar rumliegen die sich als extrem hässlich rausgestellt hatten :D
