- Some WINDY days in Malta, January 2017 (new version!).
We missed a lot of spots cause of the route time (by bus)... We should have rent a car :) Anyway I was impressed by the cultural & historical past of these Islands!
Please give me your feedback & don't forget to subscribe!
Shot with Lumix G7 only (too much wind for the drone!)

Very interested to see this video, since my one visit to Malta was in early February, with my mother, for her 85th birthday (at her insistence) I loved the island! We stayed in a large hotel in Sliema catering to the package vacation crowd, right on the seafront, and it was fine, but unfortunately the day after our arrival a big storm blew in. The waves were crashing spectacularly onto the promenade! A lot of rain (no doubt gratefully received by the Maltese). My mother would not stir from the hotel except for one bus ride along the coast to St. Julians and back. I got around as much as I could by local bus (great!), seeing a lot of the ancient monuments and getting as far as Mdina. Because of the rainy and misty weather, it got dark quite early--and winter hours for visiting various sites in Valletta were short--so it was hard to fit much in. I am very glad I did get to see Malta, which is well worth visiting, but would have liked to see the handsome architecture in the sun. I think we were maybe particularly unfortunate in the weather, but I suspect the Mediterranean is a bit of a crap shoot in the off-season. (Have also been through storms in the Adriatic, including floods in Venice, in October, rain in Rome, also in October.)
Loved Malta in summer and in winter.
Great travel video. I really enjoyed it!!👍👍👍
I LOVE MALTA
I really like your video editing style!
Thanks Kathleen !!! Shame on me, I do not spend enough time on edits like this anymore... I have to change that ^^
What temperature is there??? I heard the lowest temperature in Malta was 1.4°C!
Winter here looks pretty amaze tbf!
It was :) !!!
Cool video
I did go to Malta in late April and the weather was good. Malta has a lot of history for a tiny island
Thanks man! The video feels a bit old now, I need to go back there to film a new one 😅
@@MickaelRoy I was there in April 2018
Hy, I really love the way you graded your video. Can you tell me did you use LUTs in Premiere CC or did you color it in some other software?
Thx Marko !! I used the OSIRIS M31 LUT around 25% (except the vlog parts), and lightly a sam-evans-like LUT ^^ (around 10%). It's a bit too much when I look at it right now (and a bit over-saturated), don't you think?
Well you got the colors and the contrasts perfect, I don't know is it because of the cloudy weather but it looks perfect :)
Just today I posted a video from Malta, filmed with the same equipment, only I changed the lens sometimes and used an Opteka 50mm f/1.8, but I aimed a bit faded look, so tell me what you think of it:
ruclips.net/video/EfxUeE3RmfM/видео.html
Yes just looked at it and I thought the low-contrasted effect was due to the LUT you used (which one?)
At least the weather was better than in our trip ^^
I'll give the exact numbers I used on the adjustment layer, but I additionally fixed some clips separately.
Basic
EXP 0,0
CONTRAST 28,4
HIGH -34,1
SHAD 20,5
WHITES -37,5
BLACKS 0,0
Creative (VISION 6 LOG)
INTENSITY 72,7
FADED FILM 10,8
Curves
BOOSTED THE YELLOWS DOWN BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO MUCH :)
I believe you for the yellow curve, I did the same... You managed to used a LOG LUT on the G7 rushes? Did you film on Cine-D profile or something like that?
very amazing video
Thx Ciuridda !!
Proud maltese :) ty for the video!
My pleasure :) I'm still missing some summer shots so hope I'll be back soon!
hi Elizabeth
i'm comming now wait for me...
Its beautiful place
So true !!!
Il fesait +- combien niveau température?
+Chay Bridge une 10aine de degrés en gros, mais en décembre avec un peu de chance ça peut monter à 20 :) Limite pour se baigner mais pour visiter c’est parfait si y’a pas trop de vent !!
What are the languages spoken there?
Maltese (historical language, sounds like arabic) between local people, but english is also official, so it is spoken by 99% of the population there :) During the trip I heard also a lot of italian...
Mickael Roy That’s very interesting. I was assuming it would be some other languages from other countries but its nice to hear that there is a long history for its culture. How did you like the visit? it looks. very nice and peaceful (I dont speak the language used in the video and captions not working :( ) Other than that. Very well made video
Awww did the subtitles still work on the video?? (it's french!)
Actually the culture is quite big for a place that small, it's mixing roman, french, british, greek, arabic and even germanic history =D
La Valette (the capital) has some great places, but it's not our favorite place at all (except for some food & drinks maybe), we much enjoyed the south & west of the island, between the vines and the fisherman villages, it's very peaceful and authentic!!
Gozo (the 2nd biggest island) is a great place too, with few people as we have to go there by boat.
We just avoid Qwara and other seaside-resort-like places, at first because we went there in January ^^ and it didn't seemed very interesting to us... And some friends told me that there are a looooot of better places where you can enjoy water in summer (like St Peter's pool)
You should try it if you have the opportunity !!!
Yes we have our own language, Maltese :) but English is also an official language here in Malta, so the majority speak the language.
What's the lowest and highest temperature in Malta.
I would say between 5 and 35 degres... but when I was there the wind was quite strong so felt like 0 degre :D
Hi there, we've been enjoying traveling along with you in the peaceful loveliness of Malta and seeing it from your viewpoint, (especially as we film 4k walks and have just filmed Malta too), it's good to see it become European capital of culture, thank you for taking the time to add this. Perhaps we could subscribe to each other and share more?
Hi there!
Sorry for the delay, your comment was in my spam section Oo !!
Just checked your channel and we're definitely working on something related so both subscriptions seemed fair :)
Where are you living btw?
@@MickaelRoy We're in Leigh on Sea...
Your gf didn't really look like she was enjoying herself
Haha she was but she had to cold to smile ^^ (and she promise she will do an effort in the next vid!)
skyclasp
Abid khan really don’t know, I did not have the chance to study there :/
Kinda selfish . Why would they not have a laguage that everyone speaks. Babel.
Ahah not entirely false ^^ almost all of them speak maltese AND english fluently, but I don’t think they had any choice when the island switched from one country to another...
33 The current Christianity has missed its mission! You see? Reject the prophet of your time and do whatever you want, put the photograph of Jesus, Peter, Mary, Mary of Magdala in your living room, hang crosses on the wall… but you are an impostor! In the eyes of God, you are only a madman! God sees you as one sees a madman, with worthless bags and luggage! Islam, Christianity and Judaism are the three great manifestations of Satan on the earth. They are the three spirit of frogs in Revelation 16:13.These three religions claim to be of Abraham. These three religions believe in Moses. These three religions do not believe in living prophets but each claims to be of a prophet that it did not know. Each of them has its own holy book. And all three are waiting for the Messiah. They are the three spirits of frog of Revelation 16:13. [Ed: The congregation says, "Amen!"]. [Kc.1v10] [Kc.113v10] [Kc.118v11] [Kc.131v4]
