I hate how life always seems to kick us while we are down. I’m so sorry for all that had to go through at the end of the year. That just sucks. I Wish I could change things for you! I love watching your videos and listening to you talk. You are such a joy. I don’t know if that’s a weird thing to say to a stranger or not, but I just enjoy watching your videos with your joyful spirit. It’s contagious!🥰 Even though you struggle with your mental health (I do too), there is just this light that shines through you. Your videos often entertain me and help me cope with my own mental & physical health issues. Your channel is a blessing to me. I’m hoping and praying that you are staying safe and healthy in 2024 and that better things are coming your way! God bless!-Sara
Sara this comment means everything to me ❤️ in spite of mental health struggles and bad luck, I always try to stay true to my bubbly self, and I’m so glad to hear I can be a comfortable person to hang with you virtually 🫶 sending my gratitude and wishing you all the best
I’m so happy you’re still here, you’re extremely strong and resilient. Such a beautiful young woman inside and out. Your Landlord is lucky you didn’t decide to sue for emotional and physical damages, the way he treated you is just unacceptable. Sending you so much love and best wishes.
Awe Jacyyy🥺 I'm only halfway through and I'm crying with you in my car😭 2024 new years night, my car broke down in the middle of the highway, I just recently got fired but I'm optimistic that change will come and it will be better😭
Babes you can def sue the building the carry a master policy go after them if sure your landlord is making a claim to get reimbursed for the money he dished out to fix ceiling and taking replacement your personal need.
Wow, that was crazy on how the ceiling suddenly collapsed. Any explanation as to what caused it? Unbelievable that your landlord didn't even say he was sorry, etc. Yeah, you could have sued, etc, and probably won. But I am glad you were able to get some sort of compensation. I hope the "repairs" the landlord made holds up, and it never happens again. Sorry about your car and grandmother. 2024 will be better. Thanks for sharing. I actually had an anxiety attack listening to everything, and I think you handled it better than I could. Please take care. ❤❤
Even though I have a brother who is retiring from being a partner at S&C, I am probably the least litigious person around. Instead, I offer systemic solutions, amongst which is my call to #AbolishTheMortgage with a permanent moratorium on new mortgages. This would end the mortgage debt-money inflation directed at the cost of living, rather than at the cost of labor. The mortgage is why the rents keep going up, buying being the alternative to renting, while wages stagnate or decline.
So proud of you for sticking up for yourself and the apartment is safe ♥️ love your 2024 mindset too! I think you could have sued and that is probably why your landlord did more than he had to. I consider it squashed at this point though.
Hoping good fortune comes your way because you so deserve it ❤ Thrilled for you to begin your half marathon journey. I had that on my bucket list for the longest time and finally completed in 2022. Crossing that finish line is the best feeling, and I can't wait for you to experience it 🏅
You had a helluva month and I know that can be damaging to your Mental Health and I'm glad you are feeling better now. Condolences for your Grandmother 🙏🏿
Insurance adjuster here. Renters insurance is so important , they typically cover a hotel and the replacement of your contents that were damaged. They also cover dry cleaning. In the future, your insurance company also can subrogate against the landlord. It was not your job to recover against your landlord yourself. A good policy can run no more than $25 month. Super curious how the ceiling collapsed though. Is there a leaking water pipe? Was it the weight of the debris? Glad he settled with you. Believe me, it is not the norm. Remember, no weapon formed against you shall prosper, stay strong sis.
Jacy, I am glad you are HERE and I'm glad you are pushing through. I enjoy your content and channel. Thanks for sharing these personal moments, you surely don't have too. Wishing you all the best! 💓🙏🏾
I’m so sorry this happened to you & I’m so happy you’re feeling better now !!❤ did you ever get your apt locks changed after the car break in ?! Maybe I missed that part
That ceiling collapse thing was very strange. Was the contractor able to tell you why it happened and what all that dirt was from when he inspected? I would be feeling like could this happen again in another part of the apartment. Also, I would vacuum the walls if you can because dust loves to stick to them. Condolences on your grandmother passing. She looked like a wonderful woman. Good luck on the half-marathon. I will donate to help you with your goal.
Renters insurance or insurance in general only acts on your behalf to pursue liable parties, you landlord would of ultimately been responsible because the insurance company would of wanted to recoup damages even the deductible you would of paid. In this case Insurance would of just got you right then went after him...they have the time for law suits.
What a minute… I tried to let it go but I paused at 4:21 to make this comment because I am literally shocked that people were calling the manager and complaining about something that had to do with ice cream. Was someone served a frozen rat? I am seriously baffled.
Hey Jacy, glad things are looking better for you. I hit my lowest point living in LA, too, which is why I moved away. But I just wanted to chime in with my 2cents. I don't think you should sue. It would probably cost you a lot in legal fees and you'd ruin your relationship with your landlord and depending on who the judge is on the case they might order your landlord to do exactly what he's already doing. It would be different if you were living someplace you hated but since you love it, that's more important. People on the internet think a lawsuit means tens of thousands of dollars, but that's not always how it works. Sometimes, it's a small amount like the cost of your stuff or a salty judge might give you nothing and make you pay your landlord's lost wages and legal fees. In my opinion, it's not worth the risk.
I 1000% agree! I cOuLd technically sue, but I’d probably just break even anyway… not worth the trouble or energy! I’m definitely happy with how it all worked out. Thanks for your comment, and hope you’re doing better than ever since you left LA🫶
Kevin should have been charged too. How can you be more concerned with your abusive wife’s welfare than your children she tortured. He seemed too emotionless during his interview to not know what was going on. Sick. They are all evil. I hope those children heal from the torture they endured. My heart breaks for them.
As a landlord I can tell you the you made the right move, not suing. You may of gotten $12,500 at the most in small claims court. And then your lease would not be renewed.
I’m just getting started in this video so I haven’t heard the story yet. But I have had ceiling collapses in my apartment twice over five years and I’m now in the process of moving out. Very weird very specific and just want you to know that someone else has been through the ceiling, collapse, and how catastrophic and scary that can be. Reminder, I have not seen the video yet tuning back in now .
Is the internet going to give you a place to live when your landlord decides not to renew your lease because of your shenanigans? He was nice. Let it go
Love your hair !!!! Brunette suits you babe ❤ I can see you working as a bar tender your an amazing story teller and entertaining 😂
Let the tears flow.Crying is very therapeutic. It is the first way we learn to communicate 😊
Agreed 🤗

Yeah he was quick to meet my demands, so he knew he got off easy! But those demands were all I really wanted, so works for me!! Love you!!!
I burst out laughing around 26:45 😂🤣
My jaw kept dropping 😮. I’m glad you ok and I love how you tell stories ❤

You’d be surprised how much people complain about the small things in life 😖 but then again we do mess up DoorDash pint orders all the time 😅
My hex is continuing…

12500 and getting out of a slum? Totally worth using for

God was literally on your side because what are the odds of it collapsing right over your bed?!?
The landlord's job is not to show you compassion. His job is to charge you rent.
Literally no one cares
@@somethinggood-sy1ed care about what?
the rent increase helped her see that she needed to increase her psychiatric meds. so the rent increase is a net positive!
