The time signature changes with the drumming is what I took away the most. There’s lots of talent for sure. Agree that the lyrics are tough to make out. The journey continues.....🔥
Cool tune. I LOVE that you are going through this whole album song by song. On the VH1 documentary, "Behind the Music" Chris Poland said Mustaine was like a rabid dog back in the early days of Megadeth. You can hear it in his voice. Poland (the other guitarist) and Samuelson (drummer) were jazz musicians. Samuelson was an absolute beast on their first two albums, but especially this one.
Holy HELL is right ! Too fun , like the Tool reference being that they are my two FAVORITE Bands . Never gets old jamming to either one .So much to hear and so many possible influences to what you may create in the future ? Thanks for your time spent digging Tool , Megadeth and I can't wait till you dig Puscifer a lil deeper ! And hear more of your stuff ! The wife and I thought it was kick ass .
Megadeth, Death, Beastie Boys, Pantera, Primus, and Michael Jackson. The Best. All are technically perfect or imperfect made perfect. True Talent. Well said. I Believe these bands are technically and the best produced from the ground up. I would have to include iron maiden in this as well. Beating bands like led Zeppelin the Beatles and what not.
I have been a Megadeth fan since Dave Mustaine got kicked out of Metallica back in the early 1980s. Although I love every album they ever put out, some of this old stuff can be hard to get into if you are not used to listening to this style of music. Please check out some of their live performances such as "She Wolf" from Rude Awakenings, "Hanger 18" from Blood in the Water, or "a Tout le Monde" live from Argentina. that crazy solo towards the end of the intro is amazing for the obvious and then how incredible the rhythm is during that part it's amazing
