My favorite part was the tap dancing. Good work!
Nice work, I've done stairs for over 30 years and in most cases the stringers are not square and requires a few trips to the chop saw to get a perfect fit. Also on the bottom run of
Stairs I would have put a return on the left side .It gives it a better look. Remember to watch for the riser change when putting treads on top of old ones .
My wife bought me a tool this past Christmas. I looked at it and wondered why the hell she bought this weird looking tool. I literally just watched you use this same tool while building these stairs. So now I know it actually has a purpose. These videos are addicting.
Wives are smart people
Nice job! It's amazing how many framers don't know now to properly frame stairs. I trimmed a set once that was so badly done that I had to add 2 1/4 inch blocks to the top step of the stringers and then add blocks reduced by 1/4 inch increments for each step down!
I loved your 'stair tread tap dance' to set the glue and check sturdiness!
Nice work. Every time I watch one of your videos - I pick up handy tips. Thanks!
That's great to hear.

Watching you feed the wood through the table saw without a push guide gave me serious anxiety in case you lost a hand 👀😳
I need to pay you to remodel my entire house here in Virginia. lol Great work! Love your channel!
Ditto, here in Texas!!!
Sweet editing! It made it easy to watch.
Thanks. I try to make it move along quickly.
It certainly does!
Nicely done! The painted mdf board really set it off! I am no where near your level of carpentry, but when I was putting up crown molding and pulled out the angle gauge/finder, everyone asked me what it was! :) You should do a video on that tool, I think it would help a TON of people out there, considering there hasn't been a house built, ever, with 90 degree angles....ever :) Keep the great videos coming!
Thanks for the complements. You are for sure right about no 90 degree angles ever. This was a 1940s house and i'm sure when they were putting in the stairs to the basement they weren't to concerned about angles or keeping things uniform. Now days most new homes have stairs made in a factory.
TheTexasCoder hehehe I got excited about that tool too! I've never seen one before. Wow how easy that made cutting the angles for the stairs. Great job!!!

@@TheHandyman1 Right, is there a way to replace tread on the prefabricated stairs? Seems like a nightmare or completely impossible.
Wish I would have watched this before doing my stairs... The 2 x 6's in between the runners of the steps is a great idea... more surface area for the adhesive. I have one step about a year later that has popped loose and wiggles, and now I am trying to figure a way to fix it without damaging all the finish work on the tread. Nice video!
Much respect for your range of skills and making it all look easy. Also them happy feet :)
Here is the digital angle finder I use on stairs. amzn.to/2G8N0FC
LOVE IT!! Excellent video!! Tap dance effect was GREAT!!
First video I’ve watched of yours. Neat work man.
Step 1
I've enlisted the help from my son to help pull up the carpet. We are not handy at all but that's all I want for Christmas. And, do it while my husband's at work. Maybe in another 14 years my stairs will look as good as yours. Well done.
I hate carpet on stairs, and this just shows how much more beautiful wood can make it
Until you have children and they slip all the way to the bottom. Fortunately, this looks like a rather short staircase.
Dude I need to watch more cuz I’m tryna rebuild my whole damn house 😂
Absolutely amazing!
Excellent job. I love your videos
That looked amazing!! Great job brother!
I watched it again. A little closer to 1 million now😁. Have a great day Sir!
Perfect video for me because this exact project is on my to do list!
love the dance on the steps :) looks lovely x
Wow! Impressive sir!! Great job! Its beautiful!
The toe tapping was greatest part and when u were kicking boards off basement stairs lol
Amei!!!
Perfeito 👏👏👏
Nice trail running shoes. I have those exact ones!!! 😂 Great video, by the way.
This guy makes it look so easy. Great job!!
No kidding... he's fun to watch.
Boy is your wife lucky! that was a great video. Very easy to follow steps. I'm re-doing my dad's 1908 house and i needed something that I could follow easily being that I'm doing the work myself. Thanks
My new house has carpeted stairs...I can't let that ride. Good work here.
Holy sh** that is FANTASTIC work you do!! You made that look so easy!! I have my main stairs to do and it’s been keeping me up at night thinking and re thinking and over thinking how am I going to do this. Measure measure and more measuring. Your work is seriously second to none and you don’t look stressed at all while measuring and cutting. Of course you do this for a living but damn, some dudes are simply naturally qualified to perform just about any carpentry task, well I’m not one of them 😂. Excellent videos you share here.
I remember this one! Awwwwwww. Memories of me first watching your videos.
Expertly done!
Nice - now I am inspired to do my stairs, just got to finish the hardwood flooring first!
Great improvement. Beautiful work
Greetings from Scotland what a fantastic Job looks amazing love watching stuff like this 👍
Time to 'step up' and get this done too! The wifes been at me for ages!
I'm wondering if this was all done in one trip to the customer's house. I'm so slow, it would take me two days, This guy is amazing. Wish I had a mentor like him.
Very nice job dude! Good stuff
DID NOBODY REALLY NOTICE YOU KISSING THE RAILING AT 8:57??? THAT’s the passion that shows😂😂
It looks like I kissed it. I had to slow it down and watch it. I was just going in for a closer look at the level.
The Handyman I just thought it was wonderful that i’m not the only one who kisses my work... so i’ll believe what i wanna believe!😂
You my friend have mad good skills. Keep up the good work. Love watching your videos.
Thanks
Nice facelift on those stairs my man! Looks sweet😎
Great job. It came out perfectly.
thanks
Beautiful! You make your country proud.
I think I'm in love. I looked at a lot of videos, none were as easy to watch, very easy to understand! But.... I obviously need more tools. Maybe I'll get a table saw from my husband for my birthday. lol
Oops! I don't think my brother logged off my computer. This should have been sent from my youtube page. Not sure that he when he sees it, he will think it as funny as me. Again, great video
Wow! You did an awesome job! Love the changed look of the stairs!
Great video, I wish I could have learned the profession.
Great job! Looks awesome!
awesome job. You do excellent work.
bravo l’artiste, beau travail !!!
Great job and result!!
Looks great!
Nice job bro! Props to you!!
Looks lovely. I love the stain. 👌
I like the part when the man keeps kicking the tread. That was the best man tool ever😂😂😂
Nice job! Greate tool.
Wonderful work!
The sounds on ffwd 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Another amazing job. Very nice
What an amazing job!
It looks absolutley amazing! You have a gift!
also years of hard work, learning, mistakes, never giving up, but yeah a gift too. /s
Excellent illustration, thank you.
Such a cool entryway into a house.
Wow so maticulous !!👍...great job dude
*meticulous
No, you are not a handyman, you are a professional!
Great job! Keep it up buddy.
Beautiful job! Wow did your channel just grow exponentially?? Welll done!
Awesome..I'm about to work on my stairs. Thanks for the tutorial.
Beautiful job my friend 😍👏👏👏👏
I wouldn't have thought to use MDF. Good job. Strike that.. Great Job!
Beautiful work! And now I see how it's done.
Thanks G.
Really Fantastic job!
Nice and clean!
Bravissimo 👏 Bel lavoro 👍👍👍
Nice work!
Damn. Nice work! 👍🏻
Great job!
Just a beautiful job here.... I follow all of these. But this is my favorite! Well done.
Love the look of the clean, shiny hardwood stairs. We carpeted ours because they were just too slippery.
We added a runner to ours to atleast keep the hardwood look and a runner can be easily replaced.
Dang, you should be proud of your work.
That adhesive is the best!
Nice job...👍
This video is right on time. I'm getting ready to redo my stairs and this breaks it down nicely - thanks!
Great work 👍
Beautifully and efficiently done brother
Amazing🔥🔥🔥
Question. What kind of camera do you use?
Really appreciate you sharing your work and some tips along the way. Thanks!
This is a perfect example of something looking easy but is otherworldly hard to do. The handyman makes a tough remodel look like child’s play.
seriously I couldnt' believe how fast he made them.
Wow brilliant job, well done! :)
amazing job
good job man love the work nice finsh
Fantastic! If only I could do that!
Beautiful.
Most staircases come with hand rails.
Question...by using the 2x4 to build out risers I understand you are avoiding having to cut the lip off of the treads but will that put steps out of code?
Very nice work. I was particularly impressed with the railing. I am curious, wouldn’t it have been easier to poly the stair treads outside, the same way you painted the rises?
Very Nice!
Beautiful work on these stairs.
Thank you.
Good job dude. Stairs are difficult.
Awesome video. I’m going to have a go!
Really great job
