    Feel like the quartz is better for sports activities running, going to the gym, playing with the family. Automatic’s are great but damaged movements are not fun.

    I agree with you small divers becoming more popular is a good thing in my opinion. It opens up different watches to more people which can only be a good thing! I'd love to see more micros pulling out some 36-38mm divers as well as some of the big boys!

    The SNE really is an awesome watch and I've had my eye on one ever since your first video on it. I'm just surprised that they haven't released more versions of it yet! Fingers crossed we get some good ones. Looking forward to your SRPK video👍

      Yeah now that I think about it, they haven't released anything new since the blue and green dial versions, and the fully blacked out one! Unless they slipped them through without telling anyone but yeah I really do hope they put out some more variants, the save the ocean collection is putting out some great watches so I wouldn't mind getting a save the ocean SNE!

    Selling the 013 is my only watch regret. I'm quite tempted with the new 5's especially the white dial.

    It really good on the oyster bracelet from long island too

    For an alternative bracelet for the Seiko, may I suggest the Fostner Klip bracelet (Bonklip style). The brushed links with polished ends matches very well with the watch head. This lightweight bracelet matches very well with this smaller sized watch. Combined weight is 83 grams.

    sne569 is a great watch. I recently bought long island bracelet. Much better and it has a nice taper. The original bracelet was starting to pop open every now and then, that's why i went with upgrade. Wearing it much more often now.

    I love all 3 of these. I own 2 of the SNE varieties (573 & 575). Next time I’m at Tudor I can’t wait to try on the 54!

    • @thewatchidiot
      @thewatchidiot  Год назад

      I've been so close to getting the 575 so many times lol the combo of design and color looks spot on and I've been close to getting the 573 to swap bezels and have one ready on a strap and one on a bracelet. Still tempted 😂 but yeah definitely try on the BB54 it feels great!

    Great video and discussion especially around specs and proportions and how the stated case diameter doesn't necessarily translate the same between watches.

    I agree, small divers are great. I recently picked up a 38mm Cadisen 62MAS, cream dial on rubber strap. It is a good looking watch, a joy to wear and will be my summer dive beater watch for 2023. Cheers!

    I've also been gravitating to smaller watches over the last few years but have definitely not lost touch with bigger watches in my collection. My LHD Pelagos is a staple wearer in my collection at 42mm.It's great to try other watches of styles and sizes to get a view of other models. I did ponder an Explorer 36 a while back and ended up trying a BB36 to get used to the look and it worked really well to my surprise so an Explorer register of interest has been made. For a diver things get slightly complicated as how a watch wears has a bit to do with the bezel and dial ratio. A diver tends to have a bigger bezel for timing and hence the dial real estate is reduced for a particular case diameter. My BB58 looks like the lower size limit but at some point I'll give in to the desire to try the BB54 and I have a nasty feeling that my wallet will be less than happy but we shall see. At the moment I have more than enough dive watches in my collection and it would be a difficult decision to decide which would have to leave to make space for another. Great work as usual TWI.

    I have small wrists, I have Tissot prx in 35mm and Tissot Seastar in 35mm. I want to get a seiko in 38mm do you recommend the seiko SNE569? is it quartz?

  • @kavinskysmith4094
    @kavinskysmith4094 Год назад

    looking at that new smaller tudor the way I read it is that tudor is actually trying to make one that is ment for diving given the way the lugs and the size are rigged up, as its much more rounded and contoured and how they've gotten rid of the reddish and green indicators on the time counter thing, as that stuff disapears when it gets dark so it would fit better over a wetsuit and not get caught on things
    although the still dont have a bloody date, also solar quartz, doesnt that stuff DIE like after 3 years, as that is 355 dollars and its not even an automatic with the SNE569
    like that is abit much, and quatz's do fail, like honestly a Casio 106 for 50 bucks would be a better buy, and that comes with a rubber band so it doesnt bang up everything it comes into contact with, and is actually surprisingly damn comfortable
    like seikos' I dont know what their is about them, but their just not worth the money, and if you know where to look, you can actually get an automatic for 50 bucks
    like they almost seem like their Honda trying to be Mercedes Benz with their pricing, tudor atleast you keep the money

    Hi WI, for the SNE569 how much will it cost to replace the battery/capacitor? Would it require servicing?

    Too small generally, But a good thing for those with very small wrists I suppose. Though dive watches are supposed to be very legible and easy to read under water, which makes me think they are supposed to be on the larger size

    Had an SKX013 for years now.
    That's how I know a BB54 would be too small for me.
    The BB58 is better looking as well.
